The Epstein Files have shaken the world — but what do they really reveal about power, privilege, complicity, and the systems that protect the ultra-wealthy? In this intense and deeply uncomfortable conversation, Kiran Manral and Shunali Kullar Shroff unpack the disturbing revelations surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, the power structures that enabled him, and the broader implications for women everywhere. The Trump administration last week announced the repeal of the ‘endangerment finding' - the 2009 determination that climate change threatens public health and welfare. It may sound arcane, but this piece of legislation empowered the US federal government to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. This decision weakens the regulatory backbone of American climate policy, and may reshape the country's emissions trajectory for years to come.So what happens next? This week, Christiana Figueres, Tom Rivett-Carnac and Paul Dickinson consider the politics, the economics and the climate reality of this move. And Tom calls friend of the show Manish Bapna, President and CEO of the Natural Resources Defense Council, whose organisation is preparing to challenge the rollback in court. Speaking to us just as the case was filed, Manish explains why the endangerment finding has long been the legal bedrock of federal climate action, and how the case could climb all the way to the Supreme Court.Until then, uncertainty reins: is this a temporary political detour - or a structural turning point for US climate leadership? And if federal authority falters, will states, businesses and markets keep the transition moving anyway?Learn More:

The Department of Education has been a target of critics for decades. Republicans in the Oval Office have repeatedly tried to shrink the agency, and in his second term, President Trump has vowed to eliminate it altogether. On today’s Big Take podcast, Bloomberg education reporter Liam Knox and host David Gura talk through what it takes to gut a congressionally approved federal agency: what’s behind the Trump administration’s ‘creative’ efforts to scale back or move some of the Education Department’s trademark programs and what the shift could mean for students, lawmakers and other federal agencies in the administration’s crosshairs. You’ve been told that body image is about self-esteem. Or confidence. Or that it’s just a “vanity issue” you need to pray your way out of. But what if the issue isn’t your reflection, but it’s your wiring? In this episode, Leanne Ellington dismantles one of the biggest lies women have been taught: that if we just loved ourselves more, the body shame would go away. Through brain science, lived experience, and Spirit-led truth, Leanne reveals how body image isn’t a surface-level issue—it’s a deeply embedded neurological pattern. She shares the story of her own unraveling (even after losing 100 pounds), how the Anterior Cingulate Cortex shapes your self-image, and why your mirror might be reflecting trauma instead of truth. You’ll walk away with a 3-step framework to start rewriting your self-image—God’s way:Step 1: Unlearn the Lies – Dismantle the false beliefs you inherited about your worth, your body, and what makes you lovable, and take off the mental “backpack” you were never meant to carry.Step 2: Regulate the Noise – Calm the inner static that keeps you stuck in fear and body shame by creating nervous system safety, so you can finally feel the love and truth God is offering.Step 3: Rebuild the Mirror – Rewire the way you see yourself by aligning your self-image with how God already sees you: worthy, chosen, and delightfully made—right now, not 20 pounds from now. This isn’t about body positivity. It’s about identity alignment. Because when the mirror reflects how God sees you, you don’t have to fight to love yourself. You simply receive it. Former Missouri Senator John Lamping joins Dan Buck and Kim St. Onge to unpack Donald Trump's plan to eliminate the U.S. Department of Education. Lamping explains how the shift could upend Missouri's funding structure, complicate local control, and reignite the school-choice debate. He warns that dismantling the department would trigger chaos over funding distribution and oversight unless Congress rewrites key laws. The conversation turns to teacher-union influence, property-tax fights, and Missouri's outdated foundation-formula system — with Lamping arguing that only strong gubernatorial leadership can push through real reform. After a controversial article by The Guardian questioned India's reading culture, this episode of Not Your Aunty asks a simple question. Is India really not reading, or are we just reading differently? Kiran Manral and Shunali Khullar Shroff go beyond the headline narrative and look at what is actually happening on the ground. From packed crowds at Jaipur Literature Festival to massive footfalls at the Kolkata Book Fair, the lived experience tells a far more complex story. In this episode, we explore: • Why regional language publishing is booming • How literature festivals are actively creating new readers • The rise of book clubs, translations and cross language readership • The disappearance of lending libraries and what that shift really means • Whether cheap internet and doomscrolling are reshaping attention spans • Why independent bookstores like Atta Galatta still see powerful reader engagement India publishes nearly 90,000 new titles annually and remains one of the largest publishing industries in the world. So are we witnessing decline, or transformation? This episode looks at India's storytelling legacy, the economics of publishing, the cultural power of lit fests, and why books may be thriving in ways that traditional metrics fail to capture. Watch till the end for a nuanced, ground level perspective on India's reading culture. #NotYourAunty #ReadingCulture #IndianPublishing #LitFests #BooksOfIndia About Us:

Wendy Dossett tells Adam Levy why the stigma of having an alcohol dependence in academia can be a huge barrier to seeking help. “We're supposed to be the brightest and the best, moving the frontiers of knowledge forward,” says Dossett, who has been in recovery for 20 years. “We're not supposed to be struggling with cognitive issues, mental health problems, damaging ourselves in the way that somebody with an alcohol addiction is doing.” Dossett, now an emeritus professor of religious studies at the University of Chester, UK, says that as an early career researcher she saw alcohol as the fuel to her academic life, driving her creativity and making the social elements of academic life easier to navigate. When, in her 30s, a colleague suggested she might need help, Dosett says she felt a “mixture of horror and absolute gratitude that somebody had the courage and care for me.” She went on to research the spiritual elements of recovery from addiction, which she says is less talked about in academia than, say, depression and anxiety. Victoria Burns, a social work scholar at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, founded Recovery on Campus Alberta after telling her Dean that she had an alcohol dependence. He told her she was the first academic to disclose in his 26-year career, prompting her to research other Deans' experiences of faculty disclosing addiction and recovery. From social media comparison to rising body image issues among teenagers, this conversation explores how modern challenges are reshaping emotional well-being. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani ran on a promise to dismantle the NYPD's Strategic Response Group, a unit long criticized for its role in policing protests. But weeks into his administration, SRG officers are still being deployed, including at recent anti ICE demonstrations that led to mass arrests. In this episode, WNYC and Gothamist reporter Ben Feuerherd explains how the unit was created, how it evolved from a counterterrorism force into a protest policing squad, and why critics say its structure and training created problems from the start. We also look at what Mamdani is now saying about disbanding the unit and why, for the moment, it remains in use.
https://teachhoops.com/ Selecting a zone offense requires a shift in mindset from "beating a man" to "beating a spot." A successful zone attack is built on the principle of "overloading"—putting more offensive players in an area than the defense can account for. Whether you are facing a 2-3, 3-2, or 1-3-1 zone, the goal remains the same: force two defenders to guard one person. By utilizing a "4-Out, 1-In" or a "1-3-1" alignment, you can create natural gaps in the defense. The key is to avoid standing still; players must constantly "short-corner" or "flash" to the high post to distort the zone's shape and create passing lanes that lead to high-percentage layups or open rhythm threes. The most effective way to "break" a zone is through ball reversal and "distortion" dribbles. A zone defense relies on the ball staying on one side of the floor so they can "shift and sag" toward the action. To counter this, your offense must move the ball faster than the defenders can slide. This often means using "skip passes" to the weak side to catch the defense out of position. Additionally, the "gap drive"—where a player dribbles directly at the shoulder of a zone defender—forces that defender to commit, which invariably leaves a teammate wide open. When your players understand that the goal is to make the zone "shrink" and then "stretch," they play with a level of patience that leads to a breakdown in the opponent's communication. Finally, a championship-caliber zone offense is defined by its offensive rebounding and "secondary" actions. Because zone defenders are often guarding areas rather than specific people, they are notoriously poor at "boxing out" during the flight of the ball. Coaches should emphasize "crashing from the perimeter" to exploit these missed assignments. Furthermore, if the initial set doesn't produce a shot, your team must have a "continuity" or a "reset" plan to keep the pressure on. By using film study to identify the "soft spots" of your upcoming opponent's zone—whether it's the high post in a 2-3 or the corners in a 1-2-2—you can tailor your attack to exploit their specific weaknesses, turning a potentially stagnant game into a clinical offensive performance. State Rep. Zakiya Summers has filed the House version of the "Robert G. Clark Jr. Voting Rights Act." It's an effort to get out in front of what many expect will be the further dismantling of the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965 by the U.S. Supreme Court. Summers isn't extremely optimistic about the measure's passage in the Mississippi Legislature this year, but says she and other lawmakers are trying to educate people about the dire impact voters could see from damage to the VRA.

On the contrary, it says the advanced technology could help transform education systems, freeing up time for students to develop critical thinking and other skills that cannot be automated.Evgeniya Kleshcheva from UN News spoke to Shafika Isaacs, Chief of UNESCO's Section for Technology and AI in Education, who says one of the biggest misconceptions is that education systems are so broken that only algorithms can fix them.

This episode was recorded for my UK Column show.James Roguski dives into the deep-rooted problems plaguing government systems and public health, pointing to widespread corruption and institutional failure. He pulls no punches when criticising organisations like the WHO, framing them not as guardians of wellbeing but as enforcers of a pharmaceutical agenda. This entire setup, he argues, is part of what he calls the 'beast system' — a controlling, top-heavy structure that erodes personal freedom and keeps people disempowered.James goes on to say that real change won't come from fixing the old systems but from replacing them entirely with something new and more human. He's big on decentralisation, community collaboration, and reviving forgotten ideas that put responsibility back in people's hands. For him, the future isn't about waiting for permission — it's about building cooperative networks, taking charge of one's own health and governance, and forging a social contract based on truth and mutual respect.James's website: https://jamesroguski.substack.com➡️ Jerm Warfare: https://www.jermwarfare.com

This week, I welcome researchers Hana Milanov and Amelie Pahl on their work exploring entrepreneurship through the lens of first-time parents. The researchers interviewed founders who were already deeply identified with their "venture baby" before having a "biological baby," challenging the common narrative that parenthood diminishes career success. They discovered that instead of being a hindrance, parenthood can be a catalyst for positive change in a founder's business and their professional growth. The key finding revolves around two main strategies founders adopt: Founder Firewalling: Keeping the parental and founder roles separate to protect the founder's professional identity and commitment. This often drives professionalization, like delegating or hiring management, to maintain separation. Founder Fusing: Integrating the two roles by allowing the new values and behaviors learned as a parent (like empathy and patience) to redefine and enhance the founder's role. This often leads to a more flexible and human-centered workplace culture. The surprising takeaway? The decision to integrate or separate was not defined by gender but by the individual's approach, with roughly a 50/50 split between the two strategies in their study of high-impact founders.

Beijing's Sequential Strategy to Break the Coalition: Colleague Elbridge Colby explains that Beijing has abandoned "hide and bide" for a focused and sequential strategy designed to dismantle the anti-hegemonic coalition, targeting vulnerable US partners to demonstrate American hollowness, hoping to erode regional confidence and achieve dominance without fighting a total, catastrophic war.
The Rams looked like a legitimate juggernaut yesterday in Arizona. Yes, it was against the 3-10 Arizona Cardinals, but they were coming off a few tough games and it looked like they had a shot to compete yesterday in the first quarter. After that, though: the Rams stepped on the gas. Their defense made a quick adjustment after the Cardinals' scripted series and continuously got after Jacoby Brissett. Their offense was nearly perfect all day, and controlled the game with a lead by running the ball down Arizona's throat. The offensive line ate all day. Stafford is your unanimous MVP right now. Things are looking pretty damn good today. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See https://pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Meanwhile, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) said Schumer should be replaced as leader—suggesting Chris Murphy, Cory Booker, Brian Schatz, and Elizabeth Warren would be better suited for the position. 4:30pm- While speaking at a Turning Point USA event, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. questioned why there has been a sudden uptick in food allergies over the last 30 to 40 years. “There's a different view of what could be happening in this country. We need to figure out what's causing it and eliminate it.” He continued: “Five of my seven children have allergies. What happened? Something happened. And it appears to have happened sometime around 1990…So, you have to look at an environmental toxin.” 5:00pm- Corey DeAngelis—Senior Fellow at the American Culture Project & Author of the book, “The Parent Revolution: Rescuing Your Kids from the Radicals Ruining Our Schools.”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest editorial for The Washington Times, “Dismantle the Teachers Union Cartel.” DeAngelis also discusses American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten protesting alongside Starbucks baristas. She already ruined public schools, is she going to ruin coffee next? Plus, the Trump administration is taking further steps to reduce the size and scope of the Department of Education. 5:30pm- BREAKING NEWS: The Senate has passed the Epstein Transparency Act. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer requested that the Senate pass the bill with unanimous consent—no Senator objected and the bill will now head to President Donald Trump's desk to sign. 6:05pm- Will President Donald Trump sign the Epstein Transparency Act later tonight? If signed into law, the bill requires the Department of Justice to make public all unclassified records and investigative materials relating to Jeffrey Epstein no later than 30 days after the date of enactment. 6:15pm- On Monday night, President Donald Trump was the keynote speaker at the McDonald's Impact Summitt—joking that he loves the Filet-o-Fish sandwich but that it often needs more tartar sauce!
