RUNDOWN Episode 335 opens with a classic Mitch-and-Hotshot cold open built around a unique problem: there's no area code 335. But that doesn't stop Mitch from spinning it into a musical deep dive centered on the new Eddie Vedder Cup, the tongue-in-cheek prize for the Mariners–Padres rivalry. The two riff on San Diego's surprisingly rich musical heritage — from Blink-182 and Stone Temple Pilots to Iron Butterfly and Heart — as Mitch tries to reel in Hotshot with rock trivia and storytelling. Then it's a packed slate of sports. Mitch breaks down the Mariners' stunning three-game sweep of the Padres, with big contributions from unlikely heroes like Dylan Moore and Rowdy Tellez, and serious praise for the bullpen and manager Dan Wilson. Brady Farkas and Joe Doyle join to analyze Seattle's weirdly dominant road performances, the emergence of Brian Woo as a potential All-Star and ace, and what to expect with George Kirby's return. On the football side, Mitch unpacks the Seahawks' 2025 schedule, including an unprecedented ESPN+ Monday Night game with a 10 PM ET kickoff. He also dives into the quarterback gauntlet Seattle won't face — just two of the top 12 QBs from 2024's passer efficiency ratings. Chance Miller, AD at Coastal Carolina, discusses a groundbreaking promotion giving free concessions to football attendees — and how it actually boosts revenue. Mariners' No-Table give their scouting analysis on the Mariners' rotation depth and the likelihood of a Cole Young call-up. Nick Sheridan, Alabama's co-OC, gives us an inside look at Jalen Milroe — his arm, his speed, and what Seattle fans should expect from their rookie quarterback. - It's all about Polanco!! Polo's two (almost 3) homeruns last night lifted the Mariners past the Angels and the only person playing better than him this season is Aaron Judge. And over this past week, Polanco is even above Judge. Last year's injury clearly affected Polanco more than we recognized and now that his knee is healthy, we barely recognize this guy. :30- Mariners Morning After- We already told the story, but it was all about Polanco in last night's win. Dan Wilson was asked about Polo's hot streak compared to some of the hot hitting he's seen in his career from Griffey and Edgar. The one bummer is he can't hit lefties while his side is still recovering from the injury, so there's no way they can play him against a leftie tonight, right? :45- UW Spring Game is Friday and we chatted with Husky running back Jonah Coleman yesterday about his preparations heading into his 2nd season at UW.
Headlines and GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) joins us with the latest 12th Man News on Draftmas Eve. The anticipation builds as we continue to dissect the possibilities for the Seahawks in the draft, but one thing remains fairly certain- the Hawks will go for the best player available when they pick at 18, regardless of position. :30- ABCs of the Mariners - S is for strain. That seems to be the issue with Mariners pitching right now; the bullpen seems to be overused because the starters are inefficient in most outings. - T is for trade and also Tristan Casas… remember those trade rumors that had Luis Castillo heading to Boston for Casas? - U is for umpiring- last night was the perfect opportunity for Dan Wilson to get kicked out of the game over bad calls :45- Let's get Reckless at Breakfast! Experts are saying that Colston Loveland won't be available for the Hawks at 18, so what other tight end options are there? Would the Ravens consider trading Mark Andrews and would we make that trade?
Pop-punk trailblazer Mark Hoppus is the bassist, co-founder and co-lead vocalist for Blink-182. In his new memoir, “Fahrenheit-182,” he shares his life story, from his parents' divorce, to being inspired to pick up the bass guitar, to his instant connection with his Blink-182 bandmate Tom DeLonge. Mark joins Tom Power to reflect on his journey with the band, why their break-up felt like a divorce, and how his cancer diagnosis brought them back together for good. If you like this chat, check out Tom's conversation with musician Dan Wilson of Semisonic on his massive hit “Closing Time.”

At this point in the season, what grade would you give Mariners manager Dan Wilson? Do you agree with his decision to pull Bryce Miller after the 5th inning in Wednesday’s game? // Is this new era of college football producing too many entitled players? With Travis Hunter saying he would not be okay with a team telling him he could not play both sides of the ball, is this style of telling a team what they can and cannot do hurtful to the league? // Cal Raleigh has been on fire at the plate in the last few series, what is the ceiling for his season? It’s hard enough to hit well from one side of the plate and it’s even more impressive to be able to hit and hit for power from both sides of the plate. // Sweeping the Dial: Jorge Polanco who has always been a switch hitter, took an at bat against a lefty as a lefty. Dan Wilson was happy that the batter’s interference was called in Wednesday’s game because it is a call that is almost never made. Aaron Rodgers gave an update on how his offseason has been going and the teams he has talked to.

RUNDOWN Mitch and Hotshot open Episode 328 with some REO Speedwagon, a Morgan Wallen SNL debacle, and—sadly—no area code trivia. But it's all prelude to a full-on Mariners therapy session, as Mitch wonders why Gino Suárez and Teoscar Hernández are thriving elsewhere while the M's bats look like they're still in spring training. The crew breaks down the split with the A's, early warning signs with Julio, what Dan Wilson got wrong as manager, and whether this offense truly has enough talent to support the elite rotation. Then Danny Kelly of The Ringer joins to explain why all the top mock drafts have Seattle passing on offensive linemen at pick 18—and why fans might want to prepare for a linebacker, receiver, or safety instead. He also breaks down how the Seahawks could approach the quarterback class on Day 2. Finally, Jason La Canfora weighs in on the Seahawks' offseason: Is Sam Darnold a long-term solution or just Geno 2.0? Why does John Schneider refuse to spend on O-linemen?
