Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets win over the Minnesota Timberwolves 112-97. The Nuggets are now up 3-2 in the series as they look to close out the series on Thursday in Minnesota. Nikola Jokic was the best player on the floor tonight for the 3rd straight game. Jokic had 40 points, 13 assists, and 7 rebounds to go along with 0 turnovers. He becomes the second player in NBA history to record 40 points and 10 plus assists to go along with 0 turnovers. Nikola continues to set records in the NBA on the night he was given his 3rd MVP trophy from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. When Jamal Murray did not have his shot going early in the game Jokic led the way. When Aaron Gordon got in foul trouble early in the 1st quarter it did not matter because Nikola Jokic led the way. That was the common theme tonight when the Nuggets needed anything Nikola Jokic was there as the calming factor. The Nuggets won tonight with their defense as well. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets win over the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-107. The Denver Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon tonight. Aaron Gordon was near perfect from the field tonight, starting the game 11-11 and missing his last shot of the game, which was a really tough shot over Rudy Gobert. Nikola Jokic was there all night for the Denver Nuggets. He did get in foul trouble mid-way through the 3rd quarter. However, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon stepped up tremendously in those six minutes to help cushion the Nugget's lead and not lose it. The Nuggets entered the 4th quarter up 11 points and Nikola Jokic got Denver off to a great start in the 4th. The bench unit for the Nuggets tonight was awesome. Justin Holiday, Christian Braun, and Reggie Jackson all contributed in a positive manner offensively tonight. The Nuggets were about perfect tonight beyond their defense on Anthony Edwards. Edwards has reminded Ethan of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant's performances against the Nuggets in the playoffs last year, where whatever you show him defensively, he scores. The Nuggets defensive adjustments have led to their success in the past two games. In order to win on Tuesday night, Denver has to continue to play good defense while executing offensively. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets win over the Lakers 108-106. The Nuggets close out the Lakers in five games. This is the second straight year the Denver Nugget eliminated the Lakers and sent LeBron James and Anthony Davis packing. It is hard to describe how good it feels to send LeBron home packing. The Nuggets won tonight in a very odd manner. Jokic had an off game he was not aggressive tonight when it came to scoring the basketball. Jokic finished with 25 points, 20 rebounds, and 9 assists. So it was a "bad" game for Jokic. The biggest takeaway from his game today was his lack of aggressiveness. Fortunately for Denver fans, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. stepped up in a tremendous manner. Porter and Murray combined 10 three-pointers tonight. Jamal Murray was making every tough shot in the 4th quarter when the Nuggets needed him most. And most importantly he made another shot over Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves with 3.6 seconds left to put the Nuggets up two. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets incredible comeback win tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers 101-99. Jamal Murray hit a beautiful buzzer-beater over Anthony Davis to complete the comeback over the Lakers. For someone who was having as poor of a game as he was, the team had complete trust in Jamal Murray to take some big shots in the 4th quarter and then take the biggest shot of the game. There was no doubt that when Jamal Murray took that shot, it was going in the second it left his hand. His poor shooting game goes out the window with that shot. The Nuggets improve to 2-0 in the series as they head to Los Angeles attempting to improve to 3-0 on Thursday. The Lakers actually played really well tonight, with Anthony Davis scoring 32 points, LeBron scoring 26 points, and Russell scoring 23. So their big three combined for 81 points tonight, but it just was not enough. Even with a poor shooting game for the Denver Nuggets, it did not matter. The Denver Nuggets absolutely broke the Lakers with this win tonight. The Denver Nuggets have cemented themselves as the clear favorite to win the Western Conference with this win tonight. Nikola Jokic led the way tonight with 41 points, a game-high for both teams. The atmosphere at Ball Arena was electric tonight. The players for the Nuggets 100% fed off the energy from the crowd tonight, which helped them win. The Nuggets finish the regular season 33-8 at home. They are in a great spot to win the Western Conference with their final two games against the Spurs and the Grizzlies on the road. If the Nuggets win those final two road games, they will clinch the 1st seed, leading to home-court in the playoffs as they attempt to repeat as NBA Champions. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets Utah Jazz game tonight. The Denver Nuggets won the game 111-95. The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray tonight. Christian Braun stepped up big tonight without Aaron Gordon, who has been out with a foot injury. Braun has stepped up seamlessly into the starting line-up, which is huge as the playoffs are right around the corner. Jamal Murray looked dominant and back to his usual self as he has been returning from his injury that kept him out for a series of games. Another player that looked great tonight in addition to Jokic and Murray was Peyton Watson. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets win tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. The win tonight was quite difficult, which was pretty surprising considering the opponent. The Nuggets really had to rely upon Nikola Jokic to get the win tonight. Jokic had 42 points and played absolutely incredible. He is well on his way to winning his 3rd MVP unless MVP voters want to just allow someone else to win who is not deserving of the award. The Denver Nuggets however have bigger things on the their mind than Jokic winning MVP. They have a massive game on Thursday in LA against the Clippers. Hopefully Jamal Murray is back on Thursday as he has missed six consecutive games now. The Nuggets are most likely going to need him in order to beat the Clippers in LA. Something to pay attention to as the game nears is Kawhi Leanard. Kawhi did not play against the Kings on Tuesday night with knee soreness and as the playoffs are around the corner I know the Clippers need Kawhi playing at a high level which means he has to be healthy. The Nuggets are back in 1st place in the Western Conference with the Thunder losing to the 76ers on Tuesday night. The Thunder play again on Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics on the road which will be a tremendous game. They lost 107-105. The Nuggets did not deserve to win the game today. They got out and rebounded 59-37. They allowed Dallas to have 21 offensive rebounds. One of Ethan's keys for today's game was to limit Dallas's three-point shooting, which they did, but following that key, Ethan had another crucial key in order to win the game, which was not to allow offensive rebounds off missed three-point shots, and Dallas killed Denver in that category. It does not matter who is on the floor for the Denver Nuggets. You cannot allow 21 offensive rebounds. That is horrible basketball. The Denver Nuggets did not play their style of basketball today. They should have attacked the paint the way they should have today, making it too easy for the Dallas Mavericks to guard Jokic and Aaron Gordon. He did that without even playing in the 4th quarter, which is tremendous. The bench unit played really well in today's game. From their lackluster play in the 2nd quarter to their phenomenal play in the 4th quarter, increasing the lead to 20 points and allowing four of the Nuggets starters to sit for the entirety of the 4th quarter. The only starter who played in the 4th quarter was Jamal Murray. Christian Braun probably had the best game of his season tonight. He had four steals and was really dominant in the transition game as well. His half-court offense was much better tonight, too, as he shot the ball really well. They also start their four-game road trip off really strong with a dominant win. Michael Porter Jr. was hitting timely shot after timely shot tonight. This was a bit of a sluggish game for the Nuggets. The 1st and 4th quarter were their best offensive quarters. The 4th quarter was by far the Nuggets best quarter tonight. They scored 28 points and allowed 17 points. That is total domination in the 4th quarter for the Nuggets regarding their offense and defense. Reggie Jackson stepped up for the Denver Nuggets in the 4th quarter making three shots in a run to increase the Nuggets lead to 10 points. The 4th quarter was a team effort. Christian Braun, Peyton Watson, and Reggie Jackson all made a huge difference in the 4th quarter. Something to note in the 4th quarter was Aaron Gordon started the 4th quarter at the center position. Zeke Najai, post All-Star break, has been playing the backup center minutes when Jokic sits, so it was quite noteworthy to see AG at the 5. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets 125-119 victory over the Toronto Raptors. This was a very sluggish game for the Denver Nuggets, especially in the first half. The Nuggets were outscored 68-51 in the first half. They were horrible in the first half, and they allowed Toronto to shoot 9-19 from three in the first half. That is just below 50%, and allowing a bad three-point shooting team like Toronto to shoot just under 50% from three is really bad basketball. Fortunately, there was another half of basketball for the Denver Nuggets to play. They turned around their play in the 2nd half, especially from the 6-minute mark in the 3rd quarter onwards. From that point forward, Denver really dominated, and the game was dictated on their terms the rest of the way. Nikola Jokic led the way for the Denver Nuggets with 19 third-quarter points. Jamal Murray also had 21 2nd half points after having just five first-half points. The Denver Nuggets won this game in the 2nd half with their defense. They allowed 51 points in the 2nd half, assisting the team in getting the win tonight. If the Nuggets play the way they did against the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz, and in the 4th quarter of tonight's game against Miami, they will win. They are off to a tremendous start following the All-Star break with an NBA-best 9-1 record. In addition to that the Nuggets got everyone involved on the offensive end. Unlike the Boston Celtics who were led by Jaylen Brown who had 41 points he did not get his teammates involved. That really mattered to close the 4th quarter because the other guys in the Celtics starting line-up did not have any rhythm and consistency. Overall, this game was very playoff-esque and had a potential finals match-up written all over it. Jamal Murray fortunately returned for the Denver Nuggets. For those who do not know, Jamal missed the entire second half against the Miami Heat with a sprained ankle. Ethan for one was quite nervous about Jamal's ankle and thankfully it was pretty minor as he returned 48 hours to play the Lakers. Jamal Murray and the speculator shooting night from Michael Porter Jr were fantastic tonight. He was dishing the ball incredibly well tonight and making such great plays in the half-court offense for the Denver Nuggets. Finally, the Denver Nuggets best player tonight was your two time MVP and reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic. Jokic had 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. He was fantastic for the Nuggets. Nikola had 13 points in the 3rd quarter, which was absolutely tremendous. Then in the 4th quarter Jokic was making the correct play down the stretch every single time. Fortunately for the Nuggets, they were able to rest Nikola Jokic for the entirety of the 4th quarter, allowing him to play more minutes in tomorrow's game against the Miami Heat. This is a tough b-2-b the Nuggets have, with Miami coming to Denver tomorrow night for a rematch of last year's NBA Finals. The Denver Nuggets are off to a tremendous start following the All-Star break with a 4-0 record and a 2-0 record in their tough six-game stretch. Nikola Jokic had an incredible triple-double with 15 assists tonight. Michael Porter Jr. had a tremendous game as well. He had 34 points on 5-10 from three. 34 points for Porter Jr. was a season-high for him in points. One final player that stood out for the Denver Nuggets was Collin Gillespie. He had 18 points on 4-4 shooting from three. He was imposing stepping up for Jamal Murray tonight when Reggie Jackson, who started for Jamal Murray, sat on the bench. This was a very complete win for the Denver Nuggets. They look very locked in their two games following the all-star break.
