We are back following DGW30 to look ahead to DGW31. We talk about the new set of boosts, before diving into talking about potential options for each of the teams who double in GW31 (as well as Portsmouth, who double in blank GW32). We answer questions on boost options, further blanks and doubles, favourite players for 31 and 32, and more.
Looking forward to GW33 we are looking at Saka plus two Arsenal for DGW33. With Baker sunning himself in Dubai Adam is joined by FFScout's Andy North from The Scoutcast to review what happened in GW32. Hail Cheaters! It's peak chip season with Triple Captains and Bench Boosts a plenty in GW32. But GW33 offers still more double game-week action with twice the action for Arsenal, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and Man City. So, what's the plan? Will Arsenal and Villa be distracted by the Champions League? Is there anyone on Man City we can trust to make two starting elevens? And what chips are left to capitalize on? We take it all in stride as we're hitting the season's home stretch. Join us! The Mayor of FPL Tom Campbell stands in to host the Gameweek Review Podcast with James and cover a weekend that saw disappointment for four of the five clubs who played in Europe in midweek, and it has so far underwhelmed for many who have chips active. Eyes now turn towards the next Double, with Crystal Palace, who were beaten by a Kevin De Bruyne inspired Manchester City doubling, and so to do City. Could KDB be worth a nostalgic final punt for Fantasy managers ahead of leaving at the season's conclusion? Villa, also double, but it's tough on paper and they may rotate again as they did at the weekend though we did learn Morgan Rogers truly is indestructible. So Are Arsenal the team to target for investment despite dropping more points against Brentford and with little to play for in the league? It's little to play for as Liverpool are now only two wins from the title, and James makes the case to consider assets from The Reds and yesterday's opponents West Ham despite neither doubling in the week ahead. Plus, there's discussion on captaincy for GW33, the top 5 race and how harshly should Manchester United and Tottenham, who both conceded four, be viewed. Liverpool take a step closer to the PL title, particularly as both Arsenal and Forest drop points the chasing pack. Elsewhere, Spurs lose to Wolves, but City put FIVE past in-form Palace after being 0-2 down, supercharged by one of De Bruyne's best performances of the season. We look at the GW's scores and see where we're at in Overall Rank going into GW33. @FPLUSABrian & @FPLUSABux recap the midweek mania with so many managers of the #FPLCommunity on WC30! They discuss the swinging doors moment with Haaland, Saka's return, and what to do with Gabriel. They examine Brian's chip strategy and look at options for Triple Cap and Bench Boost in GW32/33/36. Thanks for tuning in before the deadline!
Suj and James look at possibilities for those on Wildcard now with James having several drafts prepared, looking at both targeting a Bench Boost in GW32 and GW33, what difference aiming to Free Hit in GW33 would make, what planning to Free Hit in GW33 might change and there's also coverage of what those without a Free Hit may want to do and includes a set up that makes a Bench Boost viable. Many of the drafts discussed look similar and there will be some groupthink at play with Crystal Palace and Manchester City playing teams in the bottom three and now projected to Double in 33, but there is a repeated warning that the projections may be wrong. Does the front 3 pick itself? Newcastle assets are covered, Cole Palmer v Bukayo Saka and lots more. On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Fulham fan Lewis James and Crystal Palace fan Ruaidhri McLoughlin-Dowd to discuss the latest at their clubs and some very important FPL assets ahead of Saturday's meeting at Craven Cottage. And by assets that doesn't just mean the players as Eagles boss Oliver Glasner is likely to be popular for Assistant Manager bonus point hunters and for those yet to deploy the Chip again he'll no doubt attract interest around GW32 when Palace double. But he's not been the best performing manager over the last couple of weeks as that honour goes to Saturday's opponent Marco Silva, as Fulham produced outstanding victories against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest that truly has them in contention for European qualification. Plus, those key FPL assets covered including Antonee Robinson, Kenny Tete's longer-term threat to Timothy Castagne; forwards Raul Jimenez and Jean-Phillipe Mateta, Dean Henderson, Ebe Eze, Ismaila Sarr and Daniel Munoz might not be the only Palace wing-back of interest in the weeks to come. Suj and James revisit a Podcast from 4 weeks ago deliberating which week would be best to Free Hit from the potential Blank Gameweeks of 29 and 34. There's discussion on considering the template, including the importance of Erling Haaland, and the fixtures before after GW29 when making a decision on whether to activate the Free Hit or run through the Gameweek, and that decision will need to be made without the picture for the Doubles of 33 and the Blanks of 34. There's a look at potential Free Hit Drafts for 29, 33 and 34 and James reiterates the script for the current projections and has warnings about how the weeks around the FA Cup Semi Finals may not be exactly what we think and how that can have big implications for Wildcarders looking to Bench Boost. And the consequence of the Newcastle v Crystal Palace arrangement for GW32 might not be as obvious for GW33 as it appears now. Suj and James review all the Premier League games from Gameweek 32 with all the Fantasy relevant conversation as Arsenal went back in front on goal difference (much to James' annoyance) in the title race after their dominant win at Brighton and Liverpool failed to convert first half dominance as they dropped two points at Manchester United. While Man City aren't going away and are only a point behind after Kevin De Bruyne starred in their 4-2 victory at Crystal Palace. Within the review of the games there's discussion on one week punts for the FH34 WC35 crowd, assets to carry through who double in 34 or 37 and why we shouldn't neccessarily overlook those who don't double in either with Brentford perhaps the standout from that perspective. Plus, the impact of the Chelsea-Tottenham fixture now going into GW35 and the difficulty of transitioning from 34 to 35/37, captaincy for upcoming gameweeks and lots more. Clayton joins James to discuss all the midweek action from GW31 that ended with big drama at Stamford Bridge as Cole Palmer's hat-trick saw him match Phil Foden's 20 point haul from the night before. James own both but still got a red arrow! It was also a midweek full of captaincy fails with no shows for Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka whilst Mo Salah returned a 1 pointer after being subbed in the 59th minute! There's discussion on weekend captaincy for GW32 but with Heung-Min Son also likely to be an option along with those previously mentioned and James ponders a move for a Goalkeeper. As usual all the games reviewed with all the relevant FPL chat on each team and there's a very different intro to normal as the lads went back to record again as upon conclusion of the Podcast the Premier League surprising announced that Chelsea and Tottenham will play their rearranged game in Gameweek 35 rather than 36. The Free Hit chip was mostly a success in GW32, a week that gave us some freak Premier League results and wild storylines. As we digest those performances, we must quickly turn our attention to the GW33 deadline coming this Tuesday.
