Whilst City will feel their push for the title starts now after their statement win against Champions Liverpool. It was a rollercoaster weekend in the Premier League, with many clubs being thrown from joy one minute to despair the next.Musa and Ryan focus on Manchester City's 3-0 over Liverpool (03:30), which saw another goal for Erling Haaland and arguably Jeremy Doku's best performance in a City shirt so far. For Liverpool, it was another day to forget and there's yet more to ponder for Arne Slot during this men's international break. Sunderland did what no side has done this season, by scoring two against Arsenal at the Stadium of Light (21:38), there was late drama at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and more great wins for Villa, West Ham, Brentford and Everton. There's also chat about Pep Guardiola, after he reached 1000 games as a manager this weekend. All the non-Premier League stuff will be on the midweek show, up Wednesday for members, and for any London listeners, don't forget to get tickets for our first live show at the Southbank Centre here. For more podcasts each week, ad-free and in full, plus access to the Stadio Social Club and much more, become a Stadio member by going to patreon.com/stadio. Liverpool slumped to a fifth Premier League defeat in six games with a miserable reverse at title contenders Manchester City on Sunday afternoon. Erling Haaland and a deflected Nico Gonzalez strike put the home side in control before the break with Jeremy Doku notching in the second half to seal a 3-0 success for Pep Guardiola's men. Rog is back to answer your questions and forecast the weekend's Premier League action in this week's Big Weekend Preview. First stop, Manchester, where City welcome Liverpool. Erling Haaland is chasing the 100-goal milestone while Liverpool arrive steadier with Andy Robertson back and Conor Bradley flying after midweek heroics. Arsenal's clean sheet machine visit Sunderland with a chance to equal a top-flight defensive record unless Granit Xhaka ruins the party. And Spurs vs Manchester United is a fixture living on the thin line between freefall, crisis, and “they're back.” Rog closes with Crystal Palace vs Brighton "derby" and which players he thinks could be player coaches.Want to be featured on our next episode? Did Trent Alexander-Arnold's spot on the bench inspire Conor Bradley to produce another Man of the Match display against Real Madrid? Manchester City formally announced their intention to be part of this season's Premier League title race with a stunning showing against a brave Bournemouth at the Etihad on Sunday. An Erling Haaland brace, twinned with an excellent Nico O'Reilly strike ensured that Pep Guardiola's side went second in the top flight, just six points behind leaders Arsenal. Cherries were excellent for significant parts of the game, but City's Catalan controller flooded the midfield, deploying a high-risk and high reward tactic, which overpowered Iraola's charges in the middle of the pitch, leaving Haaland free to do what he does best. Despite the result, there is A LOT that AFCB can take from the performance, as Sam and Tom explain in this week's Second Look.
