Suj and James fared very differently again in FPL in GW27 as clean sheets were bust, well owned players flopped but one hauler for James in Nico O'Reilly made the difference; but there is no doubt as James even concedes, that there was big slice of luck that he even still owned him. That was the highlight of a weekend for James, which ended with another North London Derby humbling as Tottenham continue to look nervously over their shoulder at West Ham and Nottingham Forest, who both failed to score but were unlucky to do so. There's a much promised look at Rayan and comparison to other midfielders in a similiar price bracket. Bournemouth along with Brentford, Fulham and Liverpool assets are likely to be popular this week, should Arsenal players be binned despite Sunday's comfortable win, Chelsea's brilliant fixture run is over and they slipped up against Burnley, should their assets including the in-form Joao Pedro be moved on too? James welcomes Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson and Leeds United fan Ed Salinger on to Clash of the Correspondents ahead of the meeting between the two clubs at Villa Park on Saturday. The title may look beyond Villa, but there's still plenty to play for as they try and hold on to a Champions League qualification spot and they will fancy their chances of going deep in the Europa League too. While for Leeds, despite sitting 15th and only 6 points above West Ham, the general consensus seems to be that they'll be fine after sustained period of positive results and performances. All the key FPL assets covered including defensive assets from both, Morgan Rogers, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. And there's plenty of reason to be interested in their assets, Villa have Wolves after Leeds and Leeds themselves have a great run beginning from GW29. Suj and James review all the football and key FPL talking points from the Gameweek 25 weekend which concluded with dramatic scenes at Anfield as Manchester City kept their title challenge alive. That win featured a late Erling Haaland haul, surpassing Bruno Fernandes own double digit haul against Tottenham, but neither were anywhere near Cole Palmer's 20 pointer as he recorded a first half hat-trick at Wolves. There were also key wins in the battle to survive as Leeds beat Nottingham Forest and West Ham won at Burnley were Crysensio Summerville scored for the fourth game in a row. Synopsis During the opening stages of General Sir Herbert Kitchener's reconquest of the Sudan in the 1890s, a trio of British correspondents has become detached from the main body of Kitchener's force. The group prepare to bed down for the night in a palm grove when they encounter a lone British railway engineer in a heightened state of agitation. Naturally, they scent a story in the air. Shortly afterwards, they encounter the engineer again. Shots ring out, accompanied by a small party of Mahdist warriors. The correspondents are armed but nevertheless this is real danger. It was a weekend from the Gods for James in FPL, in his own words, his best ever Gameweek, with 17 pointers from Malick Thiaw, Declan Rice and Igor Thiago helping him to a monstrous 101 points, and a near 90% rank rise to 31k with a Gameweek rank of 200 overall! Suj and James review all the football from Gameweek 18 that included a hat-trick for Kevin Schade against Bournemouth side who look wide open away from home, but it was a largely forgettable week for many FPL managers and now there are injury concerns for many defensive assets. Bournemouth now travel to Chelsea and that could make a move to Cole Palmer appealing but there's caution offered on Chelsea assets following their defeat to Aston Villa who themselves kept themselves in contention at the top ahead of tomorrow's big game at The Emirates. Arsenal won again, but there's now doubts around Jurrien Timber and Ricardo Calafiori, but Gabriel is back and many FPL managers will be seeking a quick resolution to restore The Gunners defender to their teams. Manchester City won too but the majority of well owned assets blanked. Their Manchester rivals United have some appealing assets ahead of playing bottom side Wolves, with defensive assets and Matheus Cunha like to be popular short term picks. They beat Newcastle who may also appeal but aren't in good form. West Ham lost again. But Tottenham won . Suj isn't blind to The Hammers increasingly precarious plight, but neither is James to Tottenham's win at Palace. And Dominic Calvert-Lewin can't stop scoring!
