In today's episode of Bingeworthy, our TV and streaming podcast, guest host Joe Scott explores the lives of star-crossed lovers as well as love-crossed country music stars in the award-winning Showtime miniseries "George and Tammy." Created by Abe Sylvia ("Nurse Jackie," "The Eyes of Tammy Faye," "Hap and Leonard," and "The Affair"), all six episodes of the miniseries were directed by Australian filmmaker John Hillcoat. A veteran helmer of music videos, Hillcoat first broke out in the world of cinema with the brutally austere 2005 western "The Proposition," a movie many critics compared to the Cormac McCarthy novel "Blood Meridian." Interestingly enough, McCarthy agreed with these comparisons, going so far as to give the director permission to adapt his then-unreleased novel “The Road,” which Hillcoat translated to the big screen in 2009. Jason is a Canadian, endurance sports athlete. Over the last two years, Jason has raised over $35,000 for the Montreal Children's hospital. Jason has successfully done this by challenging himself to do endurance sporting challenges such as Ironman competitions, the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge and his latest 48-hour swim. His goal is to keep raising money and awareness for a cause that means the world to him.  In this episode, Jason talks about his formative years growing up and what inspired him to become a Canadian endurance sports athlete. He then discusses why he has dedicated so much time to exercise and what the Spencer Julius Landau “Little Warrior” Endowment Fund is all about.  This year, Jason has decided to take on three different endurance sporting challenges all based around 48 hours. The first challenge was completing the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge. This challenge consists of running 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. The second challenge was swimming for 48 hours straight. Jason ended up setting the world swimming record of 104 km in 48 hours. The third challenge is to complete both the Ironman in Mont Tremblant and California. He has not completed this challenge yet. Afterwards, Jason speaks about the qualities that separate a good endurance athlete from a great endurance athlete. He then provides advice on how someone can inject more purpose into their fitness journey. Jason then discusses how someone can sustain an active lifestyle long enough to get the benefits that exercise experts rave about. Lastly, Jason provides his definition of greatness and what it means to him. __ Host: Ben Mumme Twitter:  https://twitter.com/mumme_ben   Medium:  https://benjaminmumme.medium.com/   YouTube:   https://bit.ly/3fAcFrt   Newsletter:  https://bit.ly/3DBkSWv  Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/livingyourg...  __ Guest: Jason Hillcoat Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jasonhillcoat48/  The Spencer Julius Landau “Little Warrior” Endowment Fund: https://fondationduchildren.com/en/fundraising/48-hours   __ Let's Connect

Dwarf minke whales were only discovered in August 1981, so there’s still stacks to learn about them. We do know that each year they mysteriously appear on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, stay about a month, and then totally disappear again. We also know that they are incredibly curious, playful and actively seek out human contact. As a marine biologist studying the dwarf minke, Suzanne Hillcoat’s spent hundreds of hours in the water with these little giants to research their behaviour, and she’s had countless super-close encounters with them. In this episode of Wild Lives by Faunographic, Suzanne reflects on some of her most memorable interactions with these sweet cetaceans. (Spoiler alert: If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to have a whale flirt with you, you won’t want to miss this!)

Edición número 9 de la Gran Evasión. 28-10-2014.

This week Screen Verdict heads back to the prohibition era to review the adventures of the Bondurant brothers in the film Lawless. After struggling to decide on what town the film is set in, Matt and Jonathan introduce the premise and the major players involved in the film. Next they review some of the main acting roles including Tom Hardy, Shia LeBeouf, Guy Pearce, Jessica Chastain and Gary Oldman.
