I don't teach budgets. Not in the outdated over analytical sense anyway. Most women don't succeed financially by simply implementing a budget. We need systems to make financial decision making easy, and in order to thrive, we need honest communication, trustworthy friends (and information!), community, and a safe place to fall apart and put ourselves back together. Today's conversation is about why budgets (and relationships) fail, and how you can get on your path to fixing financial breakdowns of your own. Gail Swift is my best friend, she's been married for over 20 years, has two incredible teenage boys, and she and I have real talk about money all the time. In this episode, Gail will share her story about how she and her husband worked through financial secrets and a household budget that bled more than $50,000 before she even knew about it. Professionally, Gail is on a mission to help young people learn how to thrive using their unique brain wired strength. Who you are and how you're wired have everything to do with your ability to succeed with money, and in life! We are going to talk about that in this episode too. I hope you'll join us!
Date: December 28, 2022Name of podcast: Backstage Pass RadioEpisode title and number: S3: E19: Leather Leone - We Are The ChosenArtist Bio -Leather Leone needs no introduction. She has forged her unique place in metal history a long time ago. After being scouted by Mike Varney (President of Shrapnel records), Leather emerged in the early 1980s as a pioneer of the power metal vocals with the band Chastain. After releasing five celebrated metal records with the band during that period, Leather re-emerged again in the 2000s alongside David T. Chastain to release two critically acclaimed albums, “Surrender to no One” and “We bleed Metal”.In the last few years, Leather has allowed her creative urges to match and expand her loyal international fanbase, resulting in widely successful South American and European tours, and in the release of “Leather II” in 2018.Anchored in her strong writing partnership with lead guitarist Vinnie Tex, and against a backdrop of unexpected Covid-19 lockdowns, the creation of a new album became Leather's focus from early 2020. The long-awaited “We Are The Chosen” came to light in the Autumn of 2021 at Hertz Studios in Poland (Behemoth, Vader, Hate), undoubtedly containing ten of Leather's most ambitious material yet. All the songs were written, produced and recorded by Leather Leone and Vinnie Tex, except the drums recorded by Braulio Drumond and keyboard orchestration by Douglas Pinella. The album was mixed and mastered by Woitek and Slawek Wieslawski. The cover art was created by Marcelo Vasco (Slayer, Dee Snider, Kreator, Testament). With her trademark boldness, Leather traverses several musical decades effortlessly, instilling the new album with the straight-from-the-furnace steel that metal legends are made of. If anything, “We Are The Chosen”, tells us that Leather is here, she is the real deal, and she is ready for more!Sponsor Link:WWW.ECOTRIC.COMBackstage Pass Radio Social Media Handles:Facebook - @backstagepassradiopodcast @randyhulseymusicInstagram - @Backstagepassradio @randyhulseymusicTwitter - @backstagepassPC @rhulseymusicWebsite - backstagepassradio.com and randyhulsey.comArtist Media Handles:Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/leatherleoneofficial/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/LeatherLeoneCall to actionWe ask our listeners to like, share, and subscribe to the show and the artist's social media pages. Voters returned Cobb school board Chairman David Chastain to a third term Tuesday night, ensuring that Republicans will continue to control the Cobb County Board of Education. Chastain led his Democratic challenger Catherine Pozniak 55% to 45% as of 11:40 p.m., according to unofficial results. Chastain had received 21,061 votes to Pozniak's 17,034 votes, with all but one of the district's 29 precincts completed. Chastain represents Post 4 in northeast Cobb. Of the four school board seats controlled by Republicans, only Chastain's was on the ballot this year — defeating him was the Democrats' only shot at flipping the board. #CobbCounty #Georgia #LocalNews - - - - - The Marietta Daily Journal Podcast is local news for Marietta, Kennesaw, Smyrna, and all of Cobb County. Based on the book by Charles Graeber, The Good Nurse tells the story of Amy Loughren (Jessica Chastain), a compassionate nurse who begins to grow suspicious that her colleague Charlie Cullen (Eddie Redmayne) is responsible for a series of mysterious patient deaths. Over the past two months, Krista sat down separately with director Tobias Lindholm, Chastain, and Redmayne to discuss their experiences making the film. Today, we're weaving together those conversations to get a glimpse inside the incredible story and tireless work that fueled its creation.
The Good Nurse is a sombre, serious and affecting drama based on the story of Charles Cullen, one of the most notorious serial killer cases in American history, with superb performances from Eddie Redmayne as Cullen, who abused his position as a nurse to kill patients, and Jessica Chastain as Amy Loughren, a fellow nurse and friend who helped the police apprehend Cullen and put a stop to a spree that had lasted for more than a decade and, it is believed, accounted for hundreds of victims. It was also Empire's gala presentation at this year's BFI London Film Festival, and in our latest Empire Podcast special, Chris Hewitt sits down on Zoom with Chastain and Redmayne, director Tobias Lindholm and writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns, for chats about the movie, its dark subject matter, its scathing criticism of the American healthcare system, and much, much more. Enjoy.
