Janet White is no stranger to life challenges, including finding herself on the brink of death a few short years ago. Not satisfied with the prognosis from her medical team, she set off on a life-altering journey of a different kind. Through her own determination, research, positive thinking and healthy eating, she started to heal.By enduring her own critical situations, Janet gained valuable skills and knowledge of holistic self-healing and was inspired to help others. Now, as a certified NBHWC coach, she is authorized by the American Medical Board to work in hospital settings, as well as private practice. Her approach to support and motivate clients is founded on a soulful connection as they work to remove obstacles, negative thinking and/or a fear of failure on their journey to spiritual, personal and physical wellness.
The temporary happiness that alcohol, drugs and overeating provides can be deceiving. It may seem like the only way to escape your problems, but in reality, it only makes them worse. All of which can lead to addiction, health problems, and relationship problems. It can also damage your self-esteem and make you feel like you can't control your life. But there is a better way to find happiness. You can find bliss beyond the buzz by living a sober life. When you're sober, you have the clarity to see your problems and the strength to overcome them. You can build healthy relationships, improve your health, and achieve your goals. You can also find joy and fulfillment in the simple things in life, like spending time with loved ones, enjoying nature, or pursuing your hobbies. Finding bliss beyond the buzz is a journey, not a destination. It takes time, effort, and commitment. But it is a journey that is worth taking. If you are struggling with addiction, there is help available. You can find bliss beyond the buzz. Today's guest, Janet White will share her story of overcoming. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/keepingitrealonpurpose/message
Join Karaleigh in an interview with the joyous Janet White. Janet is a registered nurse, certified positive psychology coach and author who has spent decades in healthcare administration, coaching, mentoring and leading teams. Her self-development journey led her to realize that her favorite part of her healthcare roles was the ability to build relationships, coach and mentor people. She loves sharing her passion for living a happy, healthy alcohol-free lifestyle. Her story includes a long term abusive married, bout with cancer, self-esteem/body issues and grief. Today she empowers women (and men) to be the best version of themselves. Favorite takeaways: 1. The joy is found in the comparison. When you know how the darkness really feels, then it's easier to really enjoy the light. 2. We only get this one life. I didn't live my best life for all that time and I don't have a minute to waste. 3. I know how dangerous it is to not care for our bodies and how much it compromises how we're able to care for those we love when we aren't first taking care of our own minds and our own stress level and our own bodies and physical wellness. 4. Happiness does not live in busy. Happiness does not live in the accolades and the doing and the shoulds. Happiness lives in the peace and the quiet. Happiness lives in doing what you can handle and not going overboard. 5. What do I really want out of my life? Because today is my actual life, like this is it. This is not a dress rehearsal! Just live your life, be happy now. Choose that joy- do it now. Don't wait for some future day because today is the day. 6. It's never really lost knowledge, is it? Anything that we experience, anything that we do, anything that we learn, you can't take that away from us. We've got that. 7. Put yourself first and do the things that are good for you, because if you don't take care of yourself, you're not going to have anything to give. You can find Janet's book “Bliss Beyond The Buzz” on Amazon and everywhere books are sold. Find her on social media by the same name. Take Me Home - Pet Adoption and Animal Rescue - Pets & Animals on Pet Life Radio (PetLifeRadio.com)
Susan Daffron talks to Janet White from Camp Cocker in California about a cocker spaniel named Alvin who is available for adoption. Alvin is such a sweet and special little dog, his foster mom Janet started up a blog for him, which you can see at Little Alvin's Big Life. Alvin now has friends and supporters all over the world. He's a small caramel-colored cocker mix with huge brown eyes. Because he's smaller than most cocker spaniels, he has a perpetual "puppy" look, even though he's probably at least three years old. Although the folks at Camp Cocker don't know much about Alvin's past, they do know he came in as a stray in a Los Angeles area shelter. It's likely Alvin was an outdoor dog who was kept in a back yard with very little human contact. He can be shy and nervous around new people, particularly when he's inside. Unlike many small dogs, you can't just pick Alvin up and put him in your lap. Initially, he was fearful of being touched at all, and even now after lots of love and attention in foster care, Alvin still needs to warm up to new people a bit. He is responding extremely well to obedience training and he is motivated by food so he's easy to train. Janet says that just teaching Alvin to "sit" has reinforced the bond between them. Often learning a few obedience commands can give shy dogs more confidence, so Alvin would do best in a home with a patient owner who will give him the time and attention he needs to bond and learn. Wouldn't you just love to come home to that adorable face? More details on this episode MP3 Podcast - Alvin - A Sweet Little Dog Who Will Melt Your Heart on PetLifeRadio.com

Author and Law of Attraction expert Janet White discusses her book, Secrets of the Hidden Job Market: Change Your Thinking To Get The Job Of Your Dreams.
Talk to anyone looking for work, and chances are you'll hear something like: “It's hard to find a good job.” “The economy stinks.” “No one is hiring.” “I'm over 40 – who would hire me?” “Looking for work is a full-time job, and no one ever said it was easy.” It's attitudes like these, combined with widely-used but ineffective and inherently self-defeating job hunting techniques, that are keeping highly trained, qualified and educated people unemployed or underemployed, says Janet White, author of “Secrets of the Hidden Job Market: Change Your Thinking to Get the Job of Your Dreams“. www.jobmarketsecrets.com The book is geared for experienced white-collar professionals, managers, technical people and executives who are now having trouble getting hired and don't know why, and for new professionals without much experience seeking those first few starter jobs. Unlike other job hunting books, "Secrets of the Hidden Job Market" goes beyond the "how-to's;" its premise is that a job seeker's feelings, beliefs and assumptions – about themselves, the job hunting process and the people they will contact – will determine how easy or difficult it will be for them to land their dream job, even before they take the first step. "If you believe you're in competition with lots of other people for a limited number of jobs, then that's the experience you will have," Ms. White says. "But if you stop trying to ‘sell yourself' and instead allow your future boss to ‘buy you,' you'll have a totally different experience – new doors will open, great opportunities will come your way out of the blue, and you'll effortlessly connect with the right people who will be eager to know you. “Getting hired doesn't have to be difficult, complicated or arduous, but many job seekers believe it does, and so it is for them.”
We will discuss her book Hidden Secrets: How to Get Your Dream Job. People today are looking in the wrong places, plus they are using old techniques that don't work. We will discus the contarian method and how it can help you get the job of your dreams.
