Carl and Mike get back into NFL/Falcons talk with more thoughts on the tush push not being banned, which Mike believes more teams should look to incorporate the play, including the Falcons. Then they react to a report by Marc Raimondi in which he states Jeff Ulbrich states he was not concerned about losing his job behind his son retrieving Shedeur Sanders' phone number from his team iPad. Chris Eckfeldt: "GOD SUSPENDED ME" | The Hopeaholics PodcastChris Eckfeldt's unforgettable journey through darkness to hope will grip your soul. In 2023, a catastrophic mountain biking accident in San Clemente shattered Chris's spine, robbing him of his legs and thrusting him into a world of unrelenting physical and emotional turmoil. Once an avid rider tearing down trails with the MTB Maniacs, he faced the stark reality of paralysis, his life forever altered in a single, harrowing moment. The protective “bubble” of rehab in Denver offered a temporary sanctuary, where logistics were managed and hope flickered. But returning home to the same streets and faces that once defined his vibrant life was a crushing awakening—every task, from bathroom access to car travel, became a labyrinth of adaptation. Job loss struck like a sledgehammer, stripping away his sense of purpose, while wrong medications, particularly Cymbalta, spiraled him into a vortex of anxiety and despair, fueling two suicide attempts that nearly ended his story. Yet, in the depths of that darkness, Chris found a lifeline. Through relentless self-advocacy, he secured the right medication—low-dose Wellbutrin—restoring clarity and stability. Bolstered by his wife Domini's unwavering support, who stood firm through fear and heartache, and a renewed faith that saw divine purpose in his survival, Chris began to rebuild. He discovered that his pain could light the way for others, not through grand gestures but through the raw, honest sharing of his journey.#TheHopeaholics #redemption #recovery #AlcoholAddiction #AddictionRecovery #wedorecover #SobrietyJourney #MyStory #RecoveryIsPossible #Hope #wedorecover Join our patreon to get access to an EXTRA EPISODE every week of ‘Off the Record', exclusive content, a thriving recovery community, and opportunities to be featured on the podcast. https://patreon.com/TheHopeaholics Follow the Hopeaholics on our Socials:https://www.instagram.com/thehopeaholics https://linktr.ee/thehopeaholicsBuy Merch: https://thehopeaholics.myshopify.comVisit our Treatment Centers: https://www.hopebythesea.comIf you or a loved one needs help, please call or text 949-615-8588. In this episode, I explore suicide prevention not from the edge of crisis, but from the quiet places where meaning begins to erode—often, first thing in the morning. “Fake it till you make it.” Jenny explores how the stories we tell about ourselves shape our confidence, actions, and success. Career specialist Michelle Schaefer joined Jenny last episode and described herself as a career storyteller. Jenny reflected on her own journey: early on, she described Chavender as a small consulting firm—until she realized the word “small” was limiting her mindset. Defining yourself as just a VP or just a small business owner will impact your growth. She shares a striking analogy from Chavender Club: imagine a shooting target. Some shots scatter randomly, others cluster toward the bullseye. The way we interpret our progress—failure or improvement—affects our next steps. The question is, how are you telling your own story? Listener Reflection: What narratives are shaping your leadership and career path? Are they serving you, or are they holding you back? Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has announced a proposed reorganization for the department — which, counting those who already have left the agency, amounts to about a 25% cut in its workforce — as well as a new “Administration for a Healthy America” that will collapse several existing HHS agencies into one. Meanwhile, the department continues to cut billions of dollars in health spending at a time when the nation is facing measles outbreaks in several states and the continuing possibility of another pandemic, such as bird flu. Alice Miranda Ollstein of Politico, Maya Goldman of Axios News, and Joanne Kenen of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Politico Magazine join KFF Health News' Julie Rovner to discuss these stories and more. Also this week, Rovner interviews KFF senior vice president Larry Levitt about the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act and the threats the health law continues to face. Plus, for “extra credit,” the panelists suggest health policy stories they read this week that they think you should read, too: Julie Rovner: CNN's “State Lawmakers Are Looking To Ban Non-Existent ‘Chemtrails.' It Could Have Real-Life Side Effects,” by Ramishah Maruf and Brandon Miller. Alice Miranda Ollstein: The New York Times Wirecutter's “23andMe Just Filed for Bankruptcy. You Should Delete Your Data Now,” by Max Eddy. Maya Goldman: KFF Health News' “‘I Am Going Through Hell': Job Loss, Mental Health, and the Fate of Federal Workers,” by Rachana Pradhan and Aneri Pattani. Joanne Kenen: The Atlantic's “America Is Done Pretending About Meat,” by Yasmin Tayag. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

This episode features Fred recounting stories of mysterious and terrifying encounters with 'hairy men' in the remote Alaskan wilderness. A former fishing guide named Brad describes a disturbing experience on the McClung River involving loud noises, thrown rocks, and a large, dark figure. Despite the ordeal, Brad's employer dismisses his claims, and he loses his job. Another tale, shared by Priscilla, recounts a similarly alarming encounter during a fish-counting expedition at Lake Beverly, where the group is pursued by two Sasquatches. Priscilla remains haunted by the event, leading her to relocate from Alaska. Lastly, Herbie's account from 1957 describes a tense encounter with a 'hairy man' during a gold prospecting trip with his uncle and cousin. The terrifying experience, marked by rock-throwing and demonic screams, leaves a lasting impression on the young boy. Herbie's story further underscores the mysterious and frightening presence of these creatures in the Alaskan backcountry.Get Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteSupport Our SponsorsVisit Untold Radio AMVisit HIMS.COM00:00 Introduction and Brad's Story Begins 00:46 The Fishing Trip and Strange Noises 02:59 First Encounter with the Dark Figure 04:04 Retreat and Rock Throwing Incident 06:54 Return to the Skiff and Final Encounter 11:50 Brad's Job Loss and Aftermath 15:29 Priscilla's Traumatic Experience 26:33 Herbie's Childhood Encounter 38:55 Conclusion and Final ThoughtsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.
