This episode is celebrating the 100th episode of the Coffee with Genny B podcast. When Genny started her podcast, she had no idea where it would lead her, how long it would last or even if it would. Genny met Natalie Suppes and connected with Shalinda Kirby, whom she met in 2019 through their mutual friend, Joe Aiello, who hosts the morning show at 92 CITI FM with Phil Aubrey.In this episode, Genny spoke with Shalinda about those first few episodes, how Shalinda encouraged her to trust her voice and trust the process, how she guided her through the necessary steps to launch the podcast (including tips on finding the right music and even recording the intro and outro), providing technical tips, and is now celebrating the success of the podcast with her.They spoke about Matt Cundill, owner of Sound Off Media Company (that is now hosting the Coffee with Genny B podcast), who is now working with Genny, and how Shalinda suggested Genny connect with him in the spring of 2022, when Shalinda left S and S Podcasting. was a Sicilian bootlegger and organized crime leader in Chicago during the Prohibition era. He was best known for his long and bloody feud with Chicago Outfit boss Al Capone. Aiello masterminded several unsuccessful attempts to assassinate Capone, and fought against his former business partner Antonio Lombardo, a Capone ally, for control of the Chicago branch of the Unione Siciliana benevolent society. Aiello and his ally Bugs Moran are believed to have arranged the murder of Lombardo, which directly led Capone to organize the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in retaliation. Despite being forced to flee Chicago multiple times throughout the gang war, Aiello eventually took control of the Unione Siciliana in 1929, and ranked seventh among the Chicago Crime Commission's list of top "public enemies". Aiello was killed after Capone gunmen ambushed him as he exited a Chicago apartment building where he had been hiding out, shooting him 59 times. After his death, the Chicago Tribune described Aiello as "the toughest gangster in Chicago, and one of the toughest in the country"

Seven months ago the MBTA's oversight board indicated it was going to weigh in on whether the Legislature should explore new transportation funding initiatives, but since then there's been nothing. Joe Aiello, the chair of the Fiscal and Management Control Board, said the timing was not right back then. But soon it will be, he says, pointing out that there have been some new developments on the revenue front. Aiello also says the board is likely to lay out options for the Legislature rather than recommend anything specific, perhaps because of Gov. Charlie Baker's continued opposition to new revenues.
