A bruising trip to the Stadium of Light ends with two dropped points — and plenty to dissect.Gav, Ells and Justin break down Arsenal's 2–2 draw at Sunderland, from the elbow on Moreno and missed chances to the fatigue creeping into Arteta's injury-hit squad. The lads debate Trossard's thunderbolt, Rice's role in the opener, and why Arsenal still looked a level above even on tired legs. There's chat on Arteta's substitutions (or lack thereof), Ethan Nwaneri's curious situation, and what the break means for Odegaard, Havertz and the cavalry to return. After that, Whip Around the Grounds brings chaos across the league — Spurs and United share the comedy, Chelsea finally turn up, Villa keep flying, and Wolves look doomed. Then in VARse, the team rate the weekend's biggest officiating controversies at Villa Park, the G Tech and the Etihad, with Craig Pawson, Michael Oliver and Howard Webb all getting their turn in the chair. The show wraps with talk on the title race, Liverpool's collapse, the relegation scrap, and how Arsenal's depth and injuries could define what comes next.Conceded, but not defeated — Arsenal stumble in Sunderland yet stay top and ready to reload after the break.Chapters:(00:00) – Arteta's Non-Negotiables Intro(00:55) – Sunderland Line-Up & Early Expectations(02:30) – Physical Battle & Early Elbow Incident(07:48) – Ballard's Opener & Defensive Errors(09:19) – Saliba's Missed Chance Before Second-Half Response & Saka's Equaliser(11:20) – Trossard's Screamer & Arsenal Lead(13:23) – Fatigue, Injuries & Substitution Debate(17:09) – Ethan Nwaneri's Role & Arteta's Stance(20:39) – Sunderland's Late Equaliser(23:05) – Calafiori Chance & Frustrations with Game Management(24:50) – By The Numbers & Perspective on the Draw(27:31) – Craig Pawson's Refereeing Display(30:32) – Set-Pieces, Long Throws, Missed Chances & Dropped Points... “The amount of chaos that's been introduced into the federal health policy landscape is unprecedented,” says Michelle Mello, professor at Stanford Law School and the Stanford University School of Medicine. That turmoil, she explains, has left major gaps in expertise, trust, and leadership—and states are rushing to fill the void. In this episode of Stanford Legal, host Pamela S. Karlan talks with Mello about what this moment means for the future of science, public health, research, and the law.Mello describes how the hollowing out of career expertise at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has upended vaccine policy and research funding, forcing states into unfamiliar leadership roles. She and Karlan also unpack how shifting scientific guidance during the pandemic eroded public confidence, how politicized grant-making is reshaping the research ecosystem, and state governments' growing role in creating what she calls a “shadow CDC.”Despite the turmoil, Mello points to a few bright spots: state-level experimentation could generate valuable evidence of what works and what does not, and there are reassuring signs from the lower courts, she says, which she believes are capable of separating law from politics.Earlier this year, Mello explored many of these themes in her JAMA Health Forum paper, “The Hard Road Ahead for State Public Health Departments.”Links:Michelle Mello >>> Stanford Law pageJAMA Health Forum paper >>> “The Hard Road Ahead for State Public Health DepartmentsConnect:Episode Transcripts >>> Stanford Legal Podcast WebsiteStanford Legal Podcast >>> LinkedIn PageRich Ford >>> Twitter/XPam Karlan >>> Stanford Law School PageDiego Zambrano >>> Stanford Law School PageStanford Law School >>> Twitter/XStanford Lawyer Magazine >>> Twitter/X (00:00:00) Health Policy and COVID-19 Vaccines(00:05:10) The Vaccine Rollout Challenges(00:10:25) Public Trust and Recommendations(00:16:40) The Role of the Vaccine Committee(00:23:55) NIH Grant Process Insight(00:29:43) MIT's Stance on NIH Compact Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The prospect of a New York City mayor who “won’t march in the Israel Day Parade, will not travel to Israel, who will divest from Israel” with a history of pro-Palestinian advocacy has brought many Jews to a place of “caution and worry” as they choose the city’s next leader, New York political reporter Jacob Kornbluh said on the Haaretz Podcast. At the same time, he stressed, despite the “fear campaign” that Jewish leaders and rabbis pursued against the 34-year-old Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, a large number of Jewish New Yorkers were casting their ballots for the man poised to make history as the city’s first Muslim mayor. Leading up to Election Day, Kornbluh noted “a changing mood among Jewish voters who say they disagree with Mamdani” and were “worried” about his positions on Israel – but “since they hate [Independent candidate] Andrew Cuomo, since they are Democrats, and since they want to participate in this election, they will hold their nose and vote for Mamdani.” University administrator Dov Scheindlin, who is voting for Mamdani, also spoke with host Allison Kaplan Sommer on the podcast and explained the reasons for his choice despite disagreeing with the candidate on issues related to Israel. “On a personal level, I feel Mamdani’s demonstrated a tremendous commitment to the Jews of New York City,” Scheindlin said, attributing the candidate’s stated position as a reflection of his “sympathy with the Palestinians and a sense that the cause of Palestinian self-determination has been inhibited by the unfettered support for Israel the United States has offered.” Join Haaretz and meet our journalists at the Other Israel Film Festival, running from November 6-13 in New York City. Analyzing Japan's New Hawkish Prime Minister and the Defense Budget Goal Lance Gatling Lance Gatling analyzes Japan's new Prime Minister, Takayoshi Sado, the nation's first female leader, focusing on her hawkish stance and ambitious defense goals. Sado has committed to raising Japan's defense budget to five percent of GDP, a significant increase that reflects growing security concerns and regional tensions. However, Gatling notes that achieving this goal presents substantial challenges, as the current massive budget is already fully allocated. This would require either borrowing, reallocation, or difficult trade-offs between existing programs, and there remains serious doubt about whether the military can effectively absorb, train personnel for, and maintain such a dramatic increase.

This isn't about selling you another trendy supplement; this is about understanding why we had hydrogen-rich streams and gut bacteria that no longer exist, and how restoring this one molecule through the NRF-2 pathway can transform everything from mitochondrial function to sleep quality.
