Swiss cinematographer and director Claudio von Planta is known for his work on the “Long Way” series with Ewan McGregor. The award-winning adventurer will present two of his latest works at the FEIT Film Festival in Melbourne on August 18 and 20. Atterra l'8 aprile e non farà ritorno prima di luglio, dopo undici voli interni e tappe a New York, Washington, New Haven, Filadelfia, Indianapolis, Chicago, San Francisco, Stockton, Los Angeles, Denver. Da quel viaggio nascono reportage che oggi Claudio Rinaldi ha riunito per la prima volta in volume, Viaggio in America, edito da Aragno. Sono pagine scritte per Tempo, L'Illustrazione Italiana e L'Équipe: inchieste sulla boxe, sull'atletica, sul football, sulle corse di cavalli e di automobili, ma anche cronache di costume che intrecciano sport, razza, potere e diseguaglianza nell'America di metà secolo. C'è persino un'intervista ad Avery Brundage, allora presidente del Comitato Olimpico Internazionale, sui Giochi di Roma del 1960. Brera confessa di sentirsi come "in un polmone d'acciaio: quello della mia ignoranza" della lingua inglese, eppure proprio quello spaesamento affina il suo sguardo e la sua scrittura, spingendolo verso un giornalismo che è insieme cronaca, sociologia e letteratura. Colpisce, rileggendo oggi quelle corrispondenze, la lucidità con cui Brera osserva un paese che non conosce e di cui non parla la lingua: annota il fascino ambiguo del football americano ("troppo bello perché il calcio possa attecchire qui"), si aggira tra le palestre di boxe di Chicago e i quartieri di Little Italy, assiste al Kentucky Derby, misura la distanza tra lo sport-spettacolo statunitense e quello, ancora largamente dilettantistico, dell'Italia del dopoguerra. Ne esce un affresco che è insieme reportage sportivo e ritratto sociale, attraversato da un'idea di giornalismo per cui la cronaca di una gara di velocità o di un incontro di pugilato diventa lente per leggere razza, classe, potere e mito americano. Claudio Rinaldi, biografo e tra i massimi studiosi dell'opera di Brera, firma la curatela di questo volume che restituisce un tassello finora poco conosciuto della sua produzione: uno snodo stilistico e ideologico che anticipa la stagione del giornalismo culturale breriano, dalle pagine del Giorno fino a Repubblica, di cui Brera sarà tra le firme fondative. Nell'intervista che presentiamo, Rinaldi ricostruisce la genesi del viaggio e il contesto politico che lo rese possibile, il lavoro di ricerca che ha permesso di raccogliere per la prima volta in volume articoli dispersi su testate diverse, il metodo di un cronista che pur non parlando inglese seppe leggere in profondità un paese lontano dal suo, e il valore che queste pagine assumono oggi, settant'anni dopo, per chi vuole capire non solo Brera ma l'incontro-scontro tra due modi opposti di intendere lo sport e la modernità. Un'occasione, per i lettori/ascoltatori de Il Posto delle Parole, di riscoprire attraverso l'America degli anni Cinquanta la voce di uno dei più grandi narratori dello sport italiano: un Brera meno noto, in viaggio, spaesato e insieme acutissimo, alle prese con un mondo che di lì a poco avrebbe cambiato per sempre il modo di raccontare lo sport anche da queste parti.Gianni Brera  (1919 - 1992) è stato il più grande giornalista sportivo italiano. Direttore della «Gazzetta dello Sport» a trent'anni, ha scritto per il «Guerin Sportivo», «il Giorno», «il Giornale», «la Repubblica», oltre a infinite altre collaborazioni. Tra i suoi innumerevoli libri si ricordino L'avocatt in bicicletta (1952), Il sesso degli Ercoli (1959), Io, Coppi (1960), La pacciada, con Luigi Veronelli (1973), Incontri e invettive (1974), Storia critica del calcio italiano (1975), Coppi e il diavolo (1981), i romanzi Il corpo della ragassa (1969), Naso bugiardo (1977) e Il mio vescovo e le animalesse (1983), oltre a vari manuali tecnici di calcio e di atletica leggera e alla traduzione di tre opere di Molière (Il misantropo, Tartufo, L'avaro), con un'ampia nota critica introduttiva (1947).Claudio Rinaldi , 57 anni, è il direttore della «Gazzetta di Parma», dove è entrato come praticante nel 1991. Ha deciso di fare il giornalista quando era un ragazzino, dopo essersi imbattuto in Gianni Brera ed essere rimasto folgorato dalla sua prosa. A Brera ha dedicato il libro Gioannfucarlo: Vita e scritti inediti di Gianni Brera (2001), scritto con Paolo Brera, e la voce del Dizionario biografico degli italiani della Treccani (2014). Un intenso cruce de opiniones se produjo este miércoles en El Primer Café de Cooperativa, a causa de la forma en que reaccionó el Presidente José Antonio Kast a la resolución de la Corte de Apelaciones de Santiago, que ratificó la absolución del teniente en retiro de Carabineros Claudio Crespo pese a que se acreditó que fue un disparo suyo el que dejó ciego a Gustavo Gatica durante el estallido social de 2019.La secretaria nacional de la Democracia Cristiana, Alejandra Krauss, afirmó que "con el tuit del Presidente Kast se rompe una tradición republicana: que los Presidentes de la República no comentan las sentencias judiciales. Los presidentes de la República, además, representan al país en su conjunto. Aquí el Presidente no puede ignorar que hay una parte de la ciudadanía que obviamente se distancia de esta decisión, que hay una parte de ciudadanos que con dolor ven esta decisión".El diputado de Renovación Nacional Luis Pardo reconoció que "la situación del diputado Gatica es un drama humano que uno tiene que respetar y entender. Respecto a las declaraciones del Presidente, yo no coincido con Alejandra. Es distinto que los presidentes opinen respecto de causas en proceso, pero cuando hay una sentencia firme ya dada en la última instancia, me parece que el Presidente perfectamente puede dar una opinión que es además una opinión de respaldo a Carabineros".El secretario general del Frente Amplio, Andrés Couble, planteó que "lo que le ha tocado vivir (a Gustavo Gatica) es muy duro, tanto por quedar ciego luego de asistir a una manifestación como todo este proceso judicial donde efectivamente, como él mismo señala, se acredita una verdad, que es que Claudio Crespo fue quien disparó y quien lo dejó ciego, pero lamentablemente no encuentra justicia. Me parece que las palabras del Presidente Kast son totalmente inadecuadas y bastante indolentes", añadió.A su vez, Eduardo Cretton, diputado y vicepresidente de la UDI, cambió el tono del debate al emplazar a Couble: "La memoria es bien frágil porque él está criticando al Presidente Kast por querer indultar carabineros y se le olvida que en su gobierno (del Presidente Gabriel Boric) se indultaron delincuentes. Pienso que debiera ser un proyecto que trascienda un gobierno específico", agregó.A su vez, Ricardo Solari (PS), presidente del directorio del Instituto Igualdad, apuntó que "la última decisión respecto de que de fondos generales se les inyecten recursos a los municipios más ricos -es decir, que la gente más pobre de Chile contribuya a financiar el déficit eventual presupuestario de Las Condes- me parece que queda totalmente consagrado. La naturaleza regresiva del proyecto quedó de modo cruelmente expresada en esa última decisión", señaló.Y el presidente del directorio de la fundación Democracia y Comunidad, Luis Ruz (DC), criticó que "lo que hizo finalmente el Gobierno fue algo distinto: no solamente para el Fondo Común Municipal, sino que destinar una cantidad de recursos para los municipios directamente afectados. ¿Y eso qué significa en los hechos?
