Michael Grandinetti is a master magician and illusionist. He performed his first show at the age of 5. His personality and style were introduced to the world when he performed his original creation “The Spike Tower” on NBC television special The World’s Most Dangerous Magic. He was covered in a mixture of gasoline and kerosene, secured by chains with only 60 seconds to escape before 2 walls of flaming steel spikes were thrust toward him at over 50mph. The special brought together 7 illusionists from around the world and at 21, Michael was the youngest on the show. Years later he’s been named by Entertainment Weekly as a great magician who can truly communicate with a TV audience. He’s been featured and written up in Hidden Remote, Digital Journal and more. Michael’s been on Masters of Illusion for multiple seasons on the CW. He’s consulted on the show Bones, the Today Show, Entertainment Tonight, and the list goes on and on. During this episode, Cory and Michael discuss Michael’s balance of being a performer and an entrepreneur. Michael discusses finding his passion at the age of 5 and his experience in being an introvert in an extroverted field. CW TV special "Masters of Illusion: Christmas Magic" with Michael Grandinetti A fixture on the popular summer TV series "Masters of Illusion" for the past four years, which now airs in over 100 countries worldwide, Grandinetti has performed some of his favorite illusions on the show's Hollywood stage, including walking through the spinning metal blades of an industrial fan, levitating an unsuspecting audience member in mid-air,, causing live goldfish to appear with his bare hands, and vanishing from high above the stage and reappearing in the center of the audience. For this year's Christmas special, Michael will be performing a brand new holiday-themed illusion. Michael doesn't want to spoil the surprise, but he will say that it involves a choir of Christmas carolers and a large translucent box, surrounded by bright lights. The 'Masters of Illusion: Christmas Magic' show will air on the CW Network Friday, December 1st at 9pm Eastern Time. An encore presentation will be on Monday, December 18th. What’s up FLY Zone, Today I have World Class Magician and Master Illusionist, Michael Grandinetti on the show, it was awesome. The thing that was great about Michael when I had him as a guest on the Podcast, is that even with all of the success he has obtained in his life, he was very humble and very easy to talk with. He genuinely was a very sincere guy, and I loved hearing him to tell his story about how he got to where he is in life at the age of 37. If you are breathing, this is a great episode for you to listen to, as you get to learn from someone who has made a living out of his lifelong passion. But enough of that, allow me to share Michael’s ever-growing biography: Click here to read Michael’s full biography from his website --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/blake-soulet/support
