Quante proteine ci servono davvero? Tante? Poche? Non c'è giorno che non spunti fuori una nuova corrente di pensiero: chi dice che troppe fanno male ai reni, chi che senza non puoi mantenere i muscoli, chi che bastano quelle che trovi casualmente nei vegetali… e via così. Ma qual è la verità?Valter Longo e Franco Berrino, ad esempio, sostengono che bisogna assumere pochissime proteine, e tutte di origine vegetale....Forse, anzi, probabilmente, la domanda stessa è mal posta. Perché l'alimentazione non è un pilastro isolato della Lifestyle Medicine, e nemmeno della nostra salute. È intrecciata con tutto il resto: l'attività fisica, il sonno, la gestione dello stress, il metabolismo.Parlare di quante proteine servono senza considerare se ti muovi, se hai massa muscolare da preservare, se stai in un percorso di dimagrimento o se sei sedentario… è un non-senso.
