Dr. Bob welcomes New York Times Best Selling Author and Filmmaker Phelim McAleer to discuss his recent film projects and the corruption he has uncovered. Phelim, along with his wife Ann McElhinney, have written and produced the political documentaries FrackNation, Not Evil Just Wrong, and Mine Your Own Business, as well as The Search for Tristan's Mum and Return to Sender. Their latest project, Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer, is a true crime drama film based on the crimes of Kermit Gosnell.[1] Their book, Gosnell: The Untold Story of America's Most Prolific Serial Killer, was an Amazon and New York Times best seller.
'My Son Hunter' is a story that had to be told and our guest this episode was part of this process, Phelim McAleer, along with his wife Ann McElhinney, were the producers for this movie that introduces the debauched world of Hunter Biden to the public. Hearts of Oak have had the privilege of speaking with Garrett Zeigler whose organisation, Marco Polo, has been at the centre of exposing Hunter and his 'Laptop from Hell', and now all that hard work has made it to the big screen. Phelim has never shied away from the big controversial topics, as a journalist he simply follows the clues. He exposed the lies about fracking in his film 'FrackNation' and corrected climate change myths with 'Not Evil Just Wrong'. But with this film he is risking the ire of the most powerful man in the world, former vice president Joe Biden. Phelim McAleer is an award-winning journalist, filmmaker, public speaker, and podcaster. He is a New York Times best-selling author, a playwright and the creator of the verbatim podcasting genre. Phelim, with his wife Ann, are the producers of “My Son Hunter” as well as several other films, plays, and podcasts including FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers, FrackNation, The Ann & Phelim Scoop Podcast, The Harvey Weinstein Trial: Unfiltered Podcast, Mine Your Own Business, and Not Evil Just Wrong. Phelim has produced documentaries for the BBC, CBC (Canada) and RTE (Ireland), as well as two independent feature length documentaries. Before becoming a filmmaker, Phelim was a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times in Eastern Europe, he covered Romania and Bulgaria for The Economist and has covered Ireland for the UK Sunday Times. He began his career in journalism covering the Northern Ireland troubles first as a reporter in Crossmaglen (known as Bandit Country) and then for The Irish News in Belfast. Phelim and his wife Ann founded 'The Unreported Story Society' in 2017 with a mission to tell the stories that the mainstream media ignores through art and modern media. https://unreportedstorysociety.com/ “My Son Hunter” tells the story of the Biden Family Corruption through the eyes of Hunter Biden, starring Laurence Fox, John James and Gina Carano and directed by Robert Davi. https://mysonhunter.com/ Follow Phelim and Ann on Twitter https://twitter.com/PhelimMcAleer?s=20&t=e0tWkCcOo3Nu8dsRWoonkw https://twitter.com/annmcelhinney?s=20&t=SOJdGMjYpsdPWvr1h7NN_g https://twitter.com/AP_Scoop?s=20&t=SOJdGMjYpsdPWvr1h7NN_g Interview recorded 16.9.22 *Special thanks to Bosch Fawstin for recording our intro/outro on this podcast. We are joined by the incredible author and commentator Mark Steyn! Our dear friend Mark invited us on the second annual Mark Steyn Cruise earlier this month, which made its way from Vancouver to Alaska. It was a wonderful experience. While on the ship, we filmed a very special live podcast episode that we're excited to share with you. We met Mark “virtually” in February 2007 when he wrote kindly about our documentary Mine Your Own Business in the Orange County Register. We finally met in person in Washington, D.C. a few years later and we share the hilarious story of our first meeting on this week's podcast episode. Mark also discussed his frequent appearances and commentary on the Rush Limbaugh Show and his gave his opinions on American politics, including his suggestion that we never become “emotionally invested” in politicians. On episode #8, we also discussed the latest Brexit and UK news and Mark shared his thoughts on the newest British Prime Minister and his former colleague on the Spectator magazine, Boris Johnson. We learn the very interesting reason Boris was late for one of the very famous and very boozy Spectator lunches. We covered “Brexit Derangement Syndrome” and how it compares to “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Mark also talked about what he finds most “refreshing” about President Donald Trump. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ap-scoop/message

Our players go cave diving in an old silver mine for supplies that the resistance left abandoned, but how are they going to carry all of this back? Seems like they'll need a friend, a special guest friend perhaps.
The Meddlers look at Mine Your Own Business and what may be the laziest villain we've ever seen. They also call out for Sam Elliot to pay attention to them. It's sad, really.
