September 18, 2013 Host Drew Edsall is joined by Rotem Ishay and Skyler Trujillo while on location at Interbike in Las Vegas. Rotem is a 9-time Israeli National XC Mountain Bike Champ and Skyler is one of the top young racers. Listen in as they discuss everything from blood testing for performance and recovery to the Cross Vegas race and the Boo Bus. Listeners will get some great insight into Rotem's studies and how they apply to performance. The Boo Bicycles - TrainingPeaks Cyclocross team will be based around young and promising Colorado riders Skyler Trujillo and Rotem Ishay. Both riders are focused on taking their racing to a higher level over the course of the season with a schedule that will take them out of their natural Colorado habitat and to UCI races all over the country. Skyler caught the nation’s attention by being selected to race in the U23 Cyclocross World Championships last February in Louisville, KY. Though Rotem raced a more regional cyclocross schedule last year, he had strong results against local professionals and has three medals from Collegiate Mountain Bike and Cyclocross Nationals to his name in the last year alone. About Boo Bicycles: "Boo Bicycles was founded in 2009 by Nick Frey after graduating from Princeton with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After successfully racing a prototype bamboo-carbon fiber bicycle in the spring of 2008, Nick was contacted by James Wolf, an industrial designer and master craftsman… James Wolf, a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design in Industrial Design, has over 15 years of experience working with all types of bamboo. His company, James Wolf Designs, has specialized in custom structural bamboo installations as well as high-end furniture, fly rods, boats, and much more. As a professional cyclist, multiple national champion, and mechanical engineer, Nick brought his wealth of experience in the high-end bicycle world to the table. As a master craftsman and talented designer, James took Nick’s ideas and made them a reality. Together, the two have created the highest performance, highest quality bamboo bicycles in the world."
