On this episode, Kirk sits down for a conversation with composer, singer, and music technologist Imogen Heap. The two talk about the creative process, live performance in the pandemic age, the shifting relationship between artist and audience, the process of developing new music technology, several of Heap's ambitious musical projects, and of course, her song "Hide and Seek," which was the subject of an episode of Strong Songs earlier this year.REFERENCED ON THIS EPISODE:Imogen Heap's App, home of the "Heapsters": https://imogenheap.app/The Mi.Mu Gloves: https://mimugloves.com/“Promo” by Tim Exile live for BBC Radio 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5SVhGg5UV8Tim Exile's "Endless" app: https://endlesss.fm/“Last Night of an Empire” by Imogen Heap, 2020“First Train Home” performed by Imogen Heap in her Kitchen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5nU5O2wygE&t=1269s“Daylight Robbery” and “Hide and Seek” by Imogen Heap from Speak For Yourself, 2004“The Listening Chair” and “You Know Where to Find Me” by Imogen Heap from Sparks, 2014E.L. This podcast is an interview style show where each episode will have a different person(s) with a different interesting story, job, thing to plug, etc. Depending on how things go I may get people in local bands, businesses, who knows! On this episode Chippa is joined once again by Mark Gaydosh. Mark and Chippa are trying something new here. Mark has become the resident "we talk about music" guest, so I came up with an idea. We each have selected an album for the other to listen to and discuss their favorite songs off each. We then do a top albums of the decade list as well. Chippa's Selection: "Warning" by Green Day - 2003 Mark's Selection: "Only Revolutions" by Biffy Clyro - 2009 Enjoy!!! Twitter: @WalkWithMeGame Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mark.gaydosh.1
Watch the video here. Mark Danielewski is best known for his 2000 debut novel House of Leaves, a profoundly unconventional love story of terror, claustrophobia, and a house that's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside, and for the book's unusual page layout, scores of footnotes, and color-coded words. His 2006 follow-up, Only Revolutions, was a National Book Award finalist, and his novella The Fifty Year Sword was performed on three consecutive Halloweens at REDCAT. Hades is the fourth installment in the planned 27-volume novel The Familiar, a characteristically peculiar multi-narrative story told against unique visuals and book structure. (recorded 2/16/2017)

I Am A Mountain I Am The Sea这种歌词,窃以为有点伪诗歌般做作俗套!

Only Revolutions (Pantheon) There's no mistaking a novel by Mark Danielewski for any other. This new one can be read forward, backward and upside down. It has multi-colored inks; two sewn-in bookmarks (green and gold); and a circular structure. Here, we explore how the book's design reflects the joy-ride/killing spree of its two perpetual teenagers as they careen through time and space.
