We're thrilled to share with you the first episode of the Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program's latest campaign: Night at Howling House! It's called "The Dare" - the intro transcript is below, episode transcript is found on their website: https://www.cthulhumystery.com/howling-house-episode-1 If you like what you hear, be sure to subscribe to their feed in your podcast app of choice! Episode summary; The lazy days of summer are at an end and school is about to begin... but for five Arkham youths, reading, writing, and 'rithmetic is the least of their worries. They're spending the night in a notorious abandoned house and local legends say no one has ever lived to tell the tale. Of course, no sane schoolkid would dare to trespass in Howling House, but twelve-year-old Tenderfoot, Tommy "Woods" Northwood, his precocious kid sister Chelsea, and a forlorn little boy known only as "Dirt" don't have a choice. Roger Simmons, the neighborhood bully, and his protégé, Joey Davenport, have the leverage and pugilistic prowess to make a very convincing argument. Will they survive to see the sunrise, or is there something sinister waiting for them in that decrepit domicile? The Moonbase Theta, Out Season 4 Prologue continues next week! -- INTRO (READ BY LEEMAN) (background music is Mr. Lonogan by Scott Buckley: https://www.scottbuckley.com.au/library/mr-lonogan/) Hello, friends! Leeman Kessler here, current Roger Bragado-Fischer and previous Howard Lovecraft impersonator. Both are why I've been asked to introduce this little swap we're doing! We'd like to bring you another show you might find interesting, even if the subject matter strays a good ways from the Moon ... You're about to hear a sample episode of The Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program, produced by and co-starring one of our Moonbase actors Cat Blackard. It's an enticingly dark horror-comedy series drawing on the RPG framework of the Call of Cthulhu system, but expanding on that world in unholy cinematic audio drama. Each season is a stand-alone adventure where our heroes risk their lives - and their sanity - facing untold terror and edge-of-your-seat adventure, but with just enough laughs and queer romance to keep an audience satisfied. The sound design is creepy, cinematic and immersive, and includes an original score to back each thrilling episode. You may not want to listen with the lights turned out - but you'll definitely want to listen. You're gonna want to go back to each previous season of The Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program, but what we're sharing today is actually the first, bloody-fresh, brand-new episode of the latest story, what they're calling, "Night at Howling House!" They're describing this as a 1920's Lovecraftian spin on an 80s thriller like Stephen King or The Goonies, and if that cosmic comic mix-up doesn't pull you in ... I'm not even gonna finish that sentence! Just give it a listen, add this stygian series to your podcast apps, and visit cthulhumystery dot com for more information. Oh, and remember how I mentioned the reasons I was asked to do this introduction? Well, there's one more ... just a bit later this season, I enter the story as well, in what Cat called, "one of the most unnerving performances I've ever directed." How about that? We're delighted to share with you the first episode of Omen! The intro transcript is below - episode transcript is found on their website: https://www.omencast.com/101-transcript If you like what you hear, be sure to subscribe to their feed in your podcast app of choice! The Moonbase Theta, Out Season 4 Prologue continues next week! -- INTRO (READ BY CASS) (background music is High Games by Scott Buckley: https://www.scottbuckley.com.au/library/high-games/ Hello, Moonbase-ians! Producer Cass here. We're between release weeks of our Season 4 prologue, and we've got a special bonus episode for you: the first episode of OMEN, an award-winning audio drama by the producers of Girl in Space. OMEN starts out a bit like a murder mystery set in an approachable fantasy world, but before long intrigue gives way to danger and daring escapes, with our main characters Gwen, Tobias and Quentin scrabbling their way out of one frying pan, and right into a bigger, scarier frying pan every episode. There's swashbuckling, politicial intrigue, action and mystery - in an ever-unfolding world with just enough magic to make it all pop. You'll see the main trio grow and change as they learn about each other - and themselves. Mostly through squabbling. OMEN's tone is exciting, perilous, friendly, and smarmy—all brought to life by a diverse cast of phenomenal voice actors. Listen to the whole first season now over at omencast.com - and once you're caught up and ready for more, they have a 2-hour bonus anthology for sale and for their patrons! All right, I've talked enough. It's time to set sail… for OMEN. https://www.omencast.com/101-transcript Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Our very first bonus episode for our $5 tier and above on Patreon: Green Lit! For our first episode, we had to do the most ambitious crossover of all time: That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana. This episode focuses on the idea of self-care vs. self-hate; specifically in marginalized groups including those of race. The impact of microaggressions and the condition of racial battle fatigue are also explored while highlighting what students from the groups mentioned can do to take care of themselves in times of crisis. On the season finale of Sol’d Out Season 2, we bring in Coach Edith Teng, rookie phenom Mick Walter (aka McWalter aka Mr. Larson), and--lurking in the shadows, speaking infrequently and without a microphon--Walch! Edith’s thoughtful and deeply-considered answers to serious frisbee questions lend a legitimacy to Sol’d out that we are unused to. Also, McWalter relives his first year as a pro (including a thrilling recounting of his Callahan), and Walch shatters our hearts by informing us that he won’t be joining our Sol’d Out mixed club team because he is “already committed to Doublewide”. And for our "Sol Call", we dial up Bigley (aka “Brian”) and talk carpentry, dog-ownership, and more.

Meet Todd Glass. Todd and his family live in St. Louis. He is another athlete who has been with us, off and on, since the Crucible Fitness days. He is currently in the rarified fitness air of an FTP north of 300w, and VDot in the high 50's. But he did a lot of work to get there. In the '08-09 Out-Season with Endurance Nation, Todd's FTP has risen 22%, from 265 to 325w. His VDot has climbed from 50 to 57. With an IM PR of 10:15, Todd is poised for even greater things at IMCDA in a couple months. Can your triathlon coach or training plan demonstrate a history of delivering results and testimonials like the ones you've heard in these podcasts?
Hayes is on the right and is not the pro cyclist on the left :-) Hayes is ANOTHER member of EN Northern Illinois Sleeper Cell and the man behind the soon-to-be-legendary EN Midwest Training Camp coming up in less than two short weeks in Madison, WI. Hayes has seen a 25% FTP increase over the winter, lifting his watts from 191w to 239w. He also set a 3 minutes half marathon PR in March, again using our Out-Season training plan....which had him training for a 5k, by the way. Hayes PR'ed his goal Half Ironman last year by 40' with EN. Listen Now Can your triathlon coach or training plan demonstrate a history of delivering results and testimonials like the ones you've heard in these podcasts?
The Halligan and FamilyDave Halligan, THE Halligan, the Chuck Norris of EN, a giant of a man and a legend in the EN Haus after tearing the legs off of his coaches and fellow campers at our Tour of California camp! Dave has been with EN for just over year. IMLP'08 was his Ironman, where he negative split the bike AND the run using our execution guidance. More recently, since purchasing a Powertap in January, training with our Out-Season program and joining us for the Tour of California, Dave's FTP has risen from 323w to 348, an 8% increase in six weeks. More from The Halligan Rich, I hope I didn't talk too much last night. We didn't get to the part where you ask me how EN has benefitted me the most. Hopefully people with be able to get that from our conversation, but in case you wanted to add something here's what I would have said: The community is what it's all about. I'm not a social networking guy,no facebook, myspace, blog. But EN is a different story. It's like a private club for down to earth, regular folks who like to train and race, but are also people that work, support families, and have other interests. Then, you get to meet some of the people at camps, races, social events, and next thing you know, you have new friends to train, race, and do other fun stuff with. The shift from LSD to interval work is huge! Not only does it spice up the workout and make it more interesting, it makes you faster. I was skeptical at first, but was a quick convert. The EN founders. Great guys with not a hint of mightier than thou attitude. Completely vested in how their athletes do regardless of their level and/or experience. Always willing to help and support.
We are pleased to introduce Linda Patch. Linda is one of our original members. Linda set a 1:30+ PR at Ironman Flordia 2008 after training with EN for about a year. Since joining us in October, 2007, Linda's Functional Threshold Power (FTP) on the bike has increased from 146w to 181w, a 24% gain. Her VDot on the run has increased from 34 to 39 during our Out-Season program this year. Most notably, through working with a "special" power-training protocol that we discuss in this podcast, she has increased her 5' power from 206w to 221w since December. Oh yeah, she is also a 50's-ish mother of four sons and the owner of Linda Patch and Associates, a PR and marketing firm. No, she is not some young thing with tons of recovery and time resources on her hands and, yes, she is very, very busy!
Matt Ancona is another member of EN Northern Illinois Sleeper Cell who has seen incredible gains after joining Endurance Nation after his fall marathon. You can read about Matt's improvement over the Out-Season in this detailed post on his blog: http://ironmancona.blogspot.com/2009/03/en-out-season-results.htmlCoach's Summary:Bike: 20% gain in FTP, from 209w, 3.3w/kg to 251 watts and 4.07 w/kgRun: 3.2 VDot increase in 16wks, with his final test coming shortly.Patrick and Rich (Endurance Nation Coaches/Founders) have the opportunity to travel to all of the North American Ironman (TM) races throughout the year and meet a ton of Endurance Nation members. But many of our members — though they train and network with each other virtually — only know each other as email addresses, forum names and signatures, rarely getting the chance to connect in the real world. We thought it would fun for us, the Team, and our listeners to interview our athletes. To put a name, a voice and a face to an email address/forum handle and learn more about each other!
Please listen as Rich and Patrick introduce you to their new product, the Season Plan: the combined their Out-Season, Basic Month, and IM or 70.3 training plans, with a "Season Map," and much more, creating a complete solution to guide you across an entire season towards your goal race. Visit the Endurance Nation Training Plans page to learn more!
This episode was recorded back in September of this year, but I found it in my audio-files and as I listened to it, I couldn't help but know that it was never published for a reason. It felt as though I spoke directly to myself in my current situation — in the space between this September & this December, I have found myself amid quite a bit of career confusion, not having any answers or knowing what to do, and how to move forward with the unknowing. And it's a reminder that sometimes - we have to remember how far we've come, how much we know, and how much we've forgotten as we get lost in the throws of life. You'll never solve a problem in crisis mode — and taking a step back will always let you see a much bigger picture that you didn't have before. So, as we get into the finality of this year, it is time for reflection, for rest, and to allow ourselves to evolve. To sit with what we really want, balance it with what makes sense for us, and allow the path to be carved for when we know how to walk upon it.On this episode, I give you the run-down on my experience through my educational studies and choices, college, and moving to New York City to figure the rest out. I had a very non-traditional experience through this part of my adolescence, and as hard as it was — it taught me more than I know to be grateful for. I'm still along the journey of Figuring Sh!t Out, as we all will be for the rest of our lives — and this topic is to likely be revisited when I find more answers I didn't have before. But in the mean-time, I will have fun finding them — because in the end, If you spend your whole life trying to get your act together, you don't have a life. You have an act. xxSo much news coming in the new year! Figuring Sh!t Out Season 2 & so much goodness to share very soon TikTok: butterflyfountainYoutube: Vanessa Fontana - Posted a new Video last week!! More like this to come
