Award-winning R&B/Rap producer Band!t fell in love with the genres as the young son of Korean American academics. Unsatisfied with the standard STEM direction, he began teaching himself the rudiments of producing original beats interwoven with samples of songs from the 70s while in college. But it would require plenty of blood, sweat, tears, and unshakeable faith in God before he was given chances to prove what he could do.

Is this still Yoba's best show role to date (which was years before his parts on Alphas, Revolution and Designated Survivor)? How many other actors from Oz, Homicide, The Sopranos and The Practice can we spot? Which characters from Law & Order made cameos on here? Why this was the first groundbreaking show to feature an African-American and Latino cop partner duo? Children, sit down. It's time we had "the talk." When a man loves a stripper very much, he gets together with a world famous rapper and records an R&B/Rap ballad describing all the ways in which he'd like to have intercourse with her. If he's lucky, that song becomes a number one hit! At least, that's how it happened for Akon, before he decided to leave sex behind and save the world.

I remember turning on the TV and seeing Public Enemy's "Fight The Power" video for the first time. I was mesmerized as a 16-year old to see the power within the video of a group of people coming together for a united front. Even at such an early age I recognized what that video meant to me as a black teen. It meant that there was still work to do to being about equality in the United States among the races. That's just one of many songs that has had some sort of impact on my life. Some songs remind me of a great time that I had. Some remind me of someone I once loved. Some educate me like "Fight the Power" and many other Public Enemy songs did.Tonight we'll discuss the following:What songs impacted your life? Why is R&B/Rap is on life support? What was your favorite concert? These things and a recap on the previous weekend in sports on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!"No experts. Just opinions."Show No. 415www.Talk2Q.comScheduled for 120 mins. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
