It encompasses all that is me, was me, and I do believe not just me.    You may want to listen to it more than once and then share it with someone, and I think you'll see why after you hear it.  All I can say is that I have never written anything like this before. This piece, "1 Million Species", is what came out.. In 3 short sittings. It happened to be the Longest poem I have ever written.  Please take the 9 minutes and 18 seconds to Listen.. To listen with a clear, conscious mind, ready to recieve. Headphones would be the best option. As well, please, if this poem or any of my content strikes a chord with you, or if there are others who you think might glean some value from it, please share on any and all platforms. I have not really monetized any of this yet.. I do it for the impact it has on others.  Let me know your thoughts.. what kind of emotions, ideas and other experiences were evoked within you from this.  Lastly, please do wht you can for this beautiful planet in your own life and out there on your adventures. There are too many talks about relationships, dating requirements in this day and age. Submission is more like a swear word and omission is positive to get your own way. Deception is a better way of explaining it. Why does a man need to pay a 5 course meal on the first date? Why should a woman have a joint bank account with her "boyfriend"? If you're looking how I'm looking then you know this is asinine. In this episode, it's time to sound off all of the ideocracies of this "new age" dating mindsets.  Support the show

MOTHER MOON POEM We wait for the moon to rise to awaken our tired eyes. She leads us through the unseen darkness, as we wait for the warm light to materialize. The nighttime moon gives us hope, and protects us from nightmares and dreams. She's so much more than the image that we see in our favorite telescope. The moon lights up the dark nighttime sky, and means more than the science that we can see with our own naked eye. She's our protector in times of uncertainty and our compass when we can't find our way. The moon is everlasting, shining on eternally. Incredibly powerful wisdom for all of us to be more "GOLD". A Genuine, Original, Loving, Dreamer on route to your big goals. She capped the episode off showcasing some of her ability to create poetry by sharing a flow with us on the spot!Doc Peace also shared the steps to success in building a creator business. And how she went from being a doctor and fulfilling her family's dreams about her career to becoming an award winning poet and entrepreneur. One of the most incredible moments was when Doc shared her prescriptions for living a mentally healthy life. She shared a practice of adding a small object to a jar, like a jelly bean, or pebble to the jar every time that you show up in a time that it took courage. The ability to see the physical objects grow in our courage piggy bank will continue to increase our confidence and build momentum. Doc Peace shared her belief in spirituality and how the universe works through us. We need to trust our inner voice when it guides us toward a direction based on the passions that fuel us.Create Your Own StoryDoc shared key strategies for succeeding in your side hustle even though you may be really busy with work that pays the bills. She reminds us that we tell ourselves a story about our life. We create a character that will do things that we don't even want to do. Breaking free from this narrative and becoming the hero in our own movie was key for her. She used this approach to pivot from a corporate medical career as a doctor and to poetry and entrepreneurship. Doc shares how it all started when a voice came to her and said “You don't just need to wear gold, you need to be gold”. That was the moment she created her acronym for "GOLD". A Genuine, Original, Loving, Dreamer. And she started to use this concept of gold in all of her creations from art to business.Doc is a genius when it comes to understanding what it means to build a clear personal brand around a story.  She noted how we can be both person and business oriented. In her case Doc Peace, in my case Justin Nolan. But this goes hand in hand with a broad brand as well. In her case “gold” and in my case “Just Keep Learning.”The Three Stages Of Success For CreatorsDoc shared three overarching stages we go through as content creators. At first, we have a feeling that we can't make money in the world of art. We reinforce the belief in the starving artist. All we can do in phase one is explore. We create, but most of our work is hidden. We need some other way to pay the bills. And we pretty much have to beg for collaborations, partnerships, someone to “put us on”.In the second phase we probably still hold down a traditional job, but we start to get paid for the creative work we do. People actually book us and provide compensation for what we make.In this second phase, even though we may be far from “making it” we can see some light and possibility. Finally in the third phase we know how to craft offers and build revenue that is sustainable on the back of what we create. In the episode, Doc Peace shared her own progression through these phases. She went from wanting to learn more about poetry, to a commitment to create in public daily. And how that transformed her entire world as a creative. 11 Things That Help Build Your Creator Business1. Study the greats2. Get the craft down. Accentuate your strengths, and improve your weaknesses. Write and perform as much as you can for the first year3. Focus on networking and collaboration4. Do outreach in order to start creating your own opportunities5. Figure out who you serve, because you can't serve everyone as a target audience. Everyone can join later, but in the early stages you have to dial in who you create for and speak directly to them6. If you're shy, it may help to take on an alter ego, digital guise, persona to create within7. What makes you a genuine, original, loving, dreamer? Create for your higher self and step into that role. 8. Build an offer that connects your creativity to a money making offer for other businesses9. Speak in clear terms when building your brand partnerships so that you are not confusing, vague, or cryptic. People should know what you do, and for who?10. The more you create, get feedback, partner with people and continue to publish, the more momentum will build, keep going!11. Create simple, memorable stories that communicate your values and interests when you are creating any content that you want to spread. Memorable Quotes“Opportunities don't always come to you. But you can make them happen.”“There were so many times that I was starstruck and had to snap myself out of it. But it helps when we realize that we are all people, and they had a start similar to me too where they were just figuring everything out. And they are gold, but so am I.”“Once you can really own who you are, then you will have the confidence to connect with other people too.” “Confidence comes through actually making enough attempts that you've figured something out for yourself.”“What are the characteristics of the higher version of you? Write them down. Now show up as that.”Guest BioDoc Peace is indeed a doctor by trade. And she is also an award-winning spoken word poet, business leader and podcast host featured in Forbes. As an advocate for empowerment through education, Doc Peace supports businesses in leveraging technologies. Now at the age of 38, and living in Yonkers, NY, Michael focuses mostly on filmmaking under the moniker of Kulture Seed Films, writing and directing movies, as well as teaching high school students to tap into their own creativity. Sloman says, "When inspired by wisdom, nature, or the happenstances of life, a poem shall be written, and it's only a matter of time before the Poet spits again." ILLiptical performed his poem "Vegan Knowledge" at the Getting Down to the Brass Tacks spoken word event on March 29, 2018, at The Low Beat. In our conversation, we talk about where that poem came from, the power of poetry, transitioning to screenwriting, and more.

Kwantum Peakz (KP) is the moniker of an established slam poet who made his artistic debut in late 2018. He quickly became a regular mainstay at the Urban Legends Poetry Collective slam poetry and open mic events. They attracted a number of emerging slam poets as well as many of the finest and most seasoned artists in the field. It is there amongst his peers that KP soon realized that his style and delivery marked a stark contrast with what is more commonly viewed as slam poetry. Today, he is seen as well respected and valuable contributor to the local poetry scene. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, he is arguably an unapologetically ‘vintage' slam poet mixing some mature flair with an intellectually dynamic touch peppered with gritty verses, spirituality and raw imagery. He diligently continues to be an ”armchair student” of the craft while being an informal devoted teacher of the art form. As an artist, KP views the devotion to his work, not as a task, but as an act of service for communities at large.   Kwantum was most notably featured at his book launch Up-close and Personal Interview, the B(l)ack to the Future Virtual Poetry Night as well as during a federal government lunchtime fireside chat series. In June 2022, Kwantum Peakz officially published his first poetry anthology entitled Liquid Sunshine in audiobook format currently on sale on over a dozen online distribution platform. https://inthacity.com/liquidsunshine https://www.kobo.com/ca/en/audiobook/liquid-sunshine-2 https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/liquid-sunshine-kwantum-peakz/1141914355?ean=2940175023979

Bio: Brian was born a poet. Love of wisdom and adventure. A strong desire from a very young age to bring inspiration into the hearts of all readers of his poetry and all he crosses paths with. Only published on Facebook Poetry Society which is Brian's first created group on Facebook and his online poetry home yet, Brian has also created hundreds of more poetry groups on Facebook to create places where poets can come together and help each other learn and grow about our beloved craft of self-expression. Brian will always desire to create a poem that does get to the heart of humanity in the hope of change in a world filled with suffering. Brian does believe in humanity greatly as much does love poetry so very much. Brian has recently discovered yoga and meditation that he is using to heal and transform as to put himself in a greater position to help humanity if be in a poem or just from shining his love into this world. Bio: Lindsey is a freelance illustrator, muralist, and event organizer living in Philadelphia, PA. She is also a poet and a yoga teacher. It was her connection to a vegan cafe she loves called Lightbox that made her start writing regularly and attending the open mics they hosted there every Friday night. Feeling as if it was her calling to do so, Lindsey hatched the idea of a zine ( a small paperback publication) called COLLIDE to further the range of the words that so deeply impacted her at these events. The idea for the project was to pair local visual artists with poets like the ones she met at Lightbox in a collaborative theme across two pages of the magazine. Each artist or writer featured in Collide's issues gets a place on the shelf of one of seven Philly bookstores, a feat even Lindsey is still shocked she was able to do since the project began in May 2022. Lindsey will talk more about the future of Collide and how creatives can apply (for free!) to be featured in Issue 3, debuting hopefully in mid to late February.

With every alcohol-free journey there is a story. Despair, loss and pain; some stories darker than others. Then there is the rising, the knowing and the triumphant coming back to oneself. Authors have told their stories in the popular genre of ‘Quit Lit' books and recovery memoirs. But there is another way to share this story - through poetry. Today's guest, Skye Nicholson has written a beautiful offering that tells the story of her journey through the healing power of alchemy. Alchemy, Skye shares in her book, is the process of transmutation, requiring a good serving of magic, faith and backbreaking conviction. Exactly like our journey to freedom on the other side of alcohol  I loved this episode with Skye which includes her reading two poems from her book: Unexpected Alchemy, Poems of Addiction and Awakening. Israel needs to lament and repent if they want to avoid judgment. As always, we are committed to showing you how Jesus fulfills these specific passages. In Joel 1:1-2:17, we see that while he didn't know if God would respond to his repentance, Jesus always will. For more information about Spoken Gospel visit: https://www.spokengospel.com We believe the only path to transformative Bible engagement is to see Jesus and his gospel wherever you are in the story. Jesus taught that he can be seen on every page of the Bible. Only by seeing the light of the Gospel in the face of Jesus can we be transformed into his image (2 Cor. 3:18, 4:6). We want to help people engage with every corner of the Bible in a transformative way. To that end, we are making Christ-centered, devotional podcasts that cover every chapter of the Bible. They are brief field guides through every passage of scripture that explain each chapter within its context and how it reveals more about the good news of Jesus. The Gospel changes things. Through our resources, we hope to create growing, deepening, and transforming Bible engagement that reshapes individuals, churches, and cultures with the Gospel.
