Raheem shares vivid behind-the-scenes stories, from his early days as Ginuwine's prodigy to his current status as a pioneer in the direct-to-consumer market through platforms like Even.biz. He dives deep into the philosophy of his live performances—including the viral, water-pouring "Splash Gordon" persona—emphasizing that true showmanship requires being a perpetual student of the craft and putting in the "10,000 hours" necessary to master the stage. His discussion on independence serves as a masterclass for modern artists, as he explains how consistency and a "borderline delusional" self-belief allowed him to bypass traditional industry gatekeepers and maintain a loyal fanbase that continues to support his prolific output. The conversation takes an emotional and nostalgic turn as Raheem pays tribute to the late, legendary producer Chucky Thompson, crediting him with architecting the iconic Bad Boy sound and reminiscing about their work together on the classic anthem "Woman." He reveals the high-stakes origins of that track, noting how a blunt challenge from his A&R regarding the lack of a "sophomore anthem" led to the song's creation in just 72 hours—a record that eventually became a personal favorite of the late Aretha Franklin. Looking toward the future, Raheem expresses his excitement for the upcoming "Say Yes" tour alongside Floetry and Teedra Moses, describing the collaboration as a celebration of R&B evolution and genuine friendship. Beyond the music, he highlights his philanthropic efforts through the Love Life Foundation and his advocacy for HIV awareness and mental health, proving that his enduring legacy is built as much on community impact as it is on his smooth, chart-topping hits. The Rizz Show crew proves once again that no topic is too ridiculous for a deep dive. This episode of the comedy podcast kicks off with a surprisingly serious debate about the band KISS. With their iconic face paint, costumes, and theatrical stage shows, the question becomes unavoidable: are they technically clowns? The gang breaks down Gene Simmons' own comments about the makeup while arguing whether rock legends can also be considered circus performers. From there, the conversation takes a turn toward romance… or at least what passes for romance in modern times.A new survey reveals that a huge percentage of people have dedicated bedroom playlists, which naturally leads the show down a rabbit hole of questionable “sexy songs.” The crew reacts to the list — featuring artists like Ed Sheeran, Ginuwine, and Boyz II Men — while sharing stories about middle school dances, awkward slow songs, and why some music choices may actually ruin the mood instead of improving it.But the real chaos begins when the show starts discussing the hidden meanings behind common dating phrases. When someone says “let's just be friends,” do they mean it literally? What about “I'm fine”? The gang attempts to decode the subtle language people use in relationships — with Lern providing the much-needed female perspective while the guys attempt (and mostly fail) to interpret the signals. And then the conversation hits the internet's most uncomfortable hypothetical.A viral question asks couples what they would do if a DNA test revealed they were secretly related. Would you stay together if you discovered your spouse was your cousin? What about a sibling? The crew debates every scenario imaginable, from accidental cousin marriages to the complicated family tree math that comes with it.Naturally, things escalate quickly as the gang tries to figure out what that would mean for kids, genetics, and whether your child would technically also be your niece or nephew. Yes… the conversation goes there.By the end of the episode, the show has explored rock band clowns, questionable romantic playlists, relationship psychology, and some truly confusing family genetics — which is pretty much exactly what you expect from a chaotic comedy podcast like this one.If you enjoy sarcastic humor, weird news, pop culture commentary, and completely unhinged debates between friends, this episode delivers everything you love about a daily comedy podcast.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Are the members of KISS technically clowns… and if so, does that make their music a circus act? Because once that question gets asked, the entire show spirals in the best possible way.Welcome back to another daily comedy show episode of The Rizzuto Show, where today's topics somehow include clown makeup, sexy playlists, and the kind of family tree confusion that makes everyone double-check their last name. The gang starts off debating a question that absolutely nobody asked but now everyone must answer: Are the members of KISS actually clowns? The band literally uses “clown white” makeup… Gene Simmons himself has admitted it… and suddenly the studio poll is split. Is it an insult? Is it accurate? Or is it just another weird rock trivia rabbit hole that spirals into a full on comedy debate? From there the show shifts into Sexy Time Fun Facts, where a new survey reveals that 68% of people say music or TV scenes can instantly put them in the mood. Which leads to the crew sharing their own… extremely questionable bedroom playlists. From Massive Attack's moody electronic vibes to the ultimate throwback love-making music like Enigma, the conversation quickly turns into a hilarious breakdown of what songs actually belong on a “sexy soundtrack.” Some of the picks are romantic… some are aggressively nostalgic… and some might make your partner immediately leave the room. Then things get even more chaotic when the show runs through the most popular “bedroom songs” people claim they use for romantic moments. Let's just say the list includes everything from slow jam classics to songs that probably shouldn't be played anywhere near a bedroom unless you're trying to ruin the mood forever.Along the way the crew dives into weird nostalgia about middle school dances, awkward grinding moments, and the universal teenage experience of trying to act cool while a slow jam plays in the background. Somehow the conversation moves from R&B classics to genuine questions like: What does Ginuwine actually do these days? (Spoiler: he apparently has nine kids, which honestly tracks.)And because this is still The Rizzuto Show — a daily comedy show that thrives on weird conversations — the episode wraps up with the kind of chaotic discussion that could only happen on a morning show where nobody filters their thoughts before speaking. So whether you're here for rock music debates, relationship chaos, or the weirdly scientific breakdown of sexy playlists… this daily comedy show episode has it all.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The 90s had a velvet-lit corner of the dance floor reserved for slow jams that knew exactly what they were doing. Rob and Dave are cracking open that time capsule this week, lining up their favorite Valentine-ready booty jams where the bassline lingered and the vocals whispered promises. Artists like Keith Sweat and Blackstreet didn't rush the moment. They let it simmer, letting silk-smooth harmonies and late-night grooves do the heavy lifting. These were songs built for dim lights, a little confidence, and the kind of mood where the rest of the world politely waits outside. And then there's the next wave of heat, where artists like Usher and Ginuwine turned sensual R&B into a full-body experience without ever crossing the line. The 90s were loaded with tracks that made you lean in closer, nod your head slower, and maybe forget what time it was. It was grown-up music with a playful grin, equal parts romance and rhythm. The annual Juneteenth celebration — recognized annually on June 19 — commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It was on that day in 1865 when the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation occurred in Texas. While it took another 156 years for Juneteenth to become an official federal holiday (in 2021, in case you don't want to do the math), the celebration has deep roots in Milwaukee. Led by Northcott Neighborhood House, the event is considered one of the oldest and longest-running in the country.Still, organizers keep finding brand new ways for history to unfold in our city. And this year, for the first time, Milwaukee's official Juneteenth celebration is teaming up with the World's Largest Music Festival: Summerfest. That means things won't just happen in the Bronzeville neighborhood. After the daytime festivities, the night will continue at the Summerfest grounds with an introduction of the Juneteenth Court and, of course, the music. Artists like The Isley Brothers, Ginuwine, Bow Wow, Milwaukee's own Eric Benét and local talent are part of a lineup that's about culture, legacy and unity.Summerfest and Northcott Neighborhood House will keep the celebration going a few extra days with a new food and culture event. “A Taste of Juneteenth” will be held in the American Family Insurance Amphitheater Founders Club on June 21 from 12:45-2 p.m., inviting ticket holders to sample dishes from a lineup of a dozen local food vendors. That leaves a lot of ground to cover in this episode, which brings Summerfest CEO Sarah Pancheri and Northcott Neighborhood House executive director Tony Kearney together to talk about this promising new collaboration and what it means for Milwaukee. —Episode host: Kim ShineUniquely Milwaukee is sponsored by the Milwaukee Public Library and supported by our Radio Milwaukee members.

This week "How We Heard It" is going to the dogs ... and cats and horses and any other critter you can think of. When your hosts decided to explore songs about animals, they couldn't believe how many old and new gems they turned up, as well as some truly terrible songs. Artists of every genre have found excuses to do songs about animals, and they've come up with just about everything. Songs about dogs alone run the gamut from daydreaming about your dog to losing your dog to wanting to be someone else's dog (don't ask). Paul McCartney got enigmatic, and you won't believe what Dolly Parton did with a dog song. There's more: cat songs, elephant songs, lion songs, songs about sea creatures ... and a surprising array of songs about horses and ponies by the likes of Lil Nas X, Kacey Musgraves, Chappell Roan, Ginuwine, Laid Back and one oldie by The Osmonds that was one of the strangest turns in pop-music history. Join us and let the animal lover in you run wild.

Opening:     •    The crew (Jordan, Mr. Williams Comedy, and Jason) open with playful banter about comedy names and Jason's signature response: “I'm dynamite.”     •    They officially announce the Three's Comedy Tour, with stops in:     •    Atlanta (Stage Door Theater – May 29)     •    Ferryville, VA (Copper Fox Distillery – July 18–19)     •    Williamsburg, VA (Copper Fox Distillery – August 29–30)     •    Plans to add a June date are in the works.     •    The idea is to build synergy between the podcast and their stand-up acts, with potential for live podcast tapings in the future. Middle Segments:     •    60 Hours in a Day? A long and hilarious debate unfolds about time, days, and Earth's rotation. Jonathan jokingly proposes that a true day should be 60 hours, sparking back-and-forth arguments about circadian rhythms, Mars time, and how arbitrary time systems really are.     •    Blue Origin Controversy: The group discusses Jeff Bezos' latest Blue Origin space flight, which featured an all-women crew (including Katy Perry and Gail King). While the mission was promoted as a feminist milestone, the hosts critique it as tone-deaf, self-serving PR, especially given the political climate and global instability.     •    Special note: They show empathy for Amanda Nguyen, a survivor-turned-activist whose spaceflight dream had a deeper meaning.     •    They slam the commercialism and celebrity inclusion, joking about a “Blue Orgy” and mocking the performative nature of the launch.     •    Festival Fails & Coachella Moments:     •    They react to d4vd's viral Coachella backflip fail and compare it to a stage dive gone wrong by Ginuwine and a now-infamous Miguel leg-drop.     •    They roast festival stunts, influencer culture, and the generational divide in handling on-stage mishaps. Final Segment: Bernie Sanders at Coachella     •    A surprise Coachella appearance by Bernie Sanders sparks heated (and hilarious) debate:     •    Jonathan argues that Bernie's message is necessary and urgent, even if it interrupts the party vibe.     •    Others point out the tension between escapism and activism—but agree that in this political moment, awareness is critical.     •    They close with sharp political commentary balanced with comedy and a reminder that the world can't be ignored just because we're having fun.

Tank, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. He began his career as a backing vocalist for R&B singers Aaliyah and Ginuwine, and signed a recording contract with the former's record label, Blackground Records as a performing act in 1998. His 2001 single, "Maybe I Deserve" peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and led his debut studio album, Force of Nature (2001). It peaked within the top ten of the Billboard 200, while his second album, One Man (2002), peaked within the top 20 and was met with mixed critical reception. Following a five-year hiatus, he entered a joint venture with Motown to release his third album, Sex, Love & Pain (2007). Met with his furthest commercial success, it peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and was preceded by the Billboard Hot 100-top 50 single, "Please Don't Go". He parted ways with the labels in favor of Atlantic Records to release his following albums: Now or Never (2010), This Is How I Feel (2012), Stronger (2014), Sex, Love & Pain II (2014), and Savage (2017), the latter of which spawned the platinum-certified single "When We". Following his ninth album Elevation (2019), his tenth album, R&B Money (2022) was announced as his final due to hearing loss in his right ear, which hampered his musical ability.[3] In 2007, he formed the R&B trio TGT with contemporaries Ginuwine and Tyrese, with whom he released one studio album (2013). Along with recording, Tank has been credited with songwriting and production for other artists including Kelly Rowland, Chris Brown, Monica, Jamie Foxx, Omarion, LeToya Luckett, NLT, and KeKe Wyatt. His other ventures include his record label R&B Money, which has signed frequent collaborator J. Valentine; the two began hosting a namesake podcast in 2022, which enlists prominent figures in the genre as guests. Tank has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, a Soul Train Music Award, and his podcast was nominated for Best Work of Music Journalism - Multimedia at the 2023 International Music Journalism Awards.
