Hello to you listening in Ooltewah, Tennessee!Ooltewah Pronunciation GuideComing to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Thoughts on Thursday and your host, Diane Wyzga.Maybe like me you look at the analytics, downloads, and likes; they're not measuring up to what you would like. You ask yourself: What am I doing wrong? What am I missing? Why am I even bothering? What is the point of all this effort? Who really cares? I can tell you this about that. The other day at a very low moment I received a message from a woman I didn't know who had listened to a 60 Seconds episode and wrote to thank me being a divine messenger who somehow knew what she needed to hear in that moment. She received a much-needed spiritual reflection. And I received a reason to persevere. My stories may not hold all the answers; nor are they intended to. This much I can say: we all struggle. Our struggles are strikingly similar even though we might think we are so very different. I've been down with struggles before and I'll be there again. But I know the way out. Meanwhile, I'm here to offer what I can so that one way or another we will continue to find our way out.Practical Tip: Keep on! because someone is waiting for you and your good words. Your Faith Journey - Finding God Through Words, Song and Praise
It has been an exciting time here at the Son Games 2024 VBS program. We have had a great group of kids, a wonderful staff, and we not only partnered with St. Paul's Lutheran Church, but had people from other churches, too. This is what church is about. You heard our mottos, Join In, Team Up, Get Strong, Keep On, and Celebrate. This is all in the back drop of the Olympics. When we think of Olympics, they are competitions made up of diversity. This is from every country. All colors, cultures, orientations, almost everyone is represented. Paul talks about this in his letter to the Ephesians. He tells us that unity consists of one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God. It is not about everyone looking the same or thinking the same or doing things the same way. I believe unity happens when we can celebrate diversity. It is not necessarily how something gets done. Each one of us may do something different. The challenge is to affirm the person regardless of how it gets done. Celebrating diversity is still very difficult for many people. Instead of being able to celebrate it, there are many who fear it. As a result, those who are different from a person often get rejected and told they are not wanted. Discrimination is real. We hear many slurs on the news. People often find a way to justify it. It is wrong and it is not the community that God is looking for. In our 2nd lesson today, Paul reminds the Ephesians and each of us that we have been given gifts to support and upbuild people and not tear them down. Paul says that we are to grow up and not be blown around by every wind of doctrine. The body of Christ is about everyone working together to build each other up. The challenge is to find the things that we have in common and stick to them. Even though we may not hear love in the news and other media outlets, we are still called to love. It may mean muting ads, which I have been doing. To find out true information, one needs to look elsewhere. We are called to speak the truth in love. This is very difficult to do at times. In our Gospel lesson today, we hear the crowd asking for it and Jesus offering them as well as us, the bread of life, in order to be strengthened and connected to him. When we are seeking the bread of life it makes us stop and remember that it is not about us, but actually about we. We being God and our neighbors in all of their diversity. The crowds were not getting who Jesus was. Who is Jesus to us? Our Gospel lesson end with Jesus making a statement that he is the bread of life. Whoever comes to him will never be hungry whoever believe in him will never be thirsty. This is what we will explore next week in the sermon. Today Jesus offers us the bread of life to be strengthened, to give us eyes to see and ears to hear that we may celebrate diversity to create unity. Join In, Team Up, Get Strong, Keep On, and Celebrate God's beloved community. Let us pray: God of unity and diversity, You call us to celebrate diversity. You offer us you, the bread of life, to strengthen us and help us to see each other as gifts. May your Holy Spirit help us to receive you and continue creating unity as we celebrate the diversity that you have created. In Jesus name, Amen.
Episode 110 - Join Host Troy Saunders as he chats with singer, songwriter, producer, label owner and just an incredible human, James D-Train Williams! This episode starts with both men reminiscing about their High School alma mater, Erasmus Hall. D Train tells how Will Downing got him into the school's famous Choral Club and started his music career. Both men had fond memories of their old High School and talk about their mutual friends as well as the idea of doing a documentary about the world famous school. Other legends like Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, May West, Clive Davis, Kedar Massenburg, Bernadette Stanis, Gabe Kaplan and so many more have walked their halls. D train explains how, what seemed like overnight, he and his songwriting partner, band member, and mentor, Hubert Eaves III, were on top of the Billboard charts and on tour with George Clinton, Peabo Bryson, Midnight Star, The Deele and so many top acts of that time. He tells how legendary radio DJ, Frankie Crocker, of WBLS in NYC, loved their music and helped to get it played around the country. D Train also explains the thought process behind hits like "Keep On" and "Thank You" and the positive impacted they had on many of his listeners, Troy included. After 5 albums D Train decided not to make another album for almost 20 years. He tells of a performance that helped him in making that decision. D- Train still remained a much sort after session and jingle singer. Working on albums by many of the greats in the industry including Luther Vandross, Gladys Knight, Cher and Michael Jackson. One entertaining story he shared, comes from a session while working on the Michael Jackson "Invincible" album. Hilarious!! Wait until you hear it!Troy and D Train not only talk about music; but they also converse about racism in America, and why many artist prefer performing over seas. D Train also stresses how artist should know their self worth, especially when negotiating their price with promoters. He also expressed his insecurities and how they kept him from releasing new music until now. With pride and excitement D Train informs the listener on some of the great music to expect on his new album; due to be released later this month or in August. They talk about his latest single "Time Has Come Today" and how he was inspired by so many artist including Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and more. This episode never had a dull moment. Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #575 is an hour of inspired, visionary acoustic improvised music featuring Mariam Massaro and Bob Sherwood of the Gaea Star Band with Mariam on vocals, Native flute, acoustic guitar, 4- and 8-string ukulele, shruti box and dulcimer and Bob on piano. Today's show, taped live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts in May of 2024, begins with the hushed, mysterious, reverent raga “ We Are The Ancient Ones” featuring Mariam's mournful shruti box before moving into “We're Flying As We Shine”, a pretty, open folk song featuring Mariam's chiming ukulele and fine vocal. “Keep On” is a gorgeous, echo-laden tapestry featuring a compelling flute-and-vocal conversation from Mariam and “Water” is a striking classical piano and vocal duet from the “Vision Quest” album. “As We Gather Together” is a pretty, light folk ballad with chiming 8-string ukulele and cascading piano and “Spirit Of The Forest” is a spirited, sprightly forest song from the “Vision Quest” album. “Many Seeds Have Fallen” is another “Vision Quest” track, here given a hushed, poetic vibe with a fine vocal from Mariam. “Only One Way On This Holy Ground” closes today's show with a deep, varied exploration that winds several themes together in major and minor variations. Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth interview with MAJOR., Music Sensation & Actor About Harvey's guest: Today's guest, MAJOR., is a phenomenally talented singer, songwriter, actor and humanitarian whose magical voice took the world by storm with his debut multi-platinum hit song entitled “Why I Love You”, which Stevie Wonder called “the wedding song of the year” and went to #5 on the Adult R & B Billboard Chart. He's released 4 stunning albums, containing some of my favourite songs including “Keep On”, “Better With You In It”, “Honest”, “I'll Keep My Faith”, “A Mother's Love”, a brilliant reimagining of “Whole World in His Hands”, and his latest single, “Baby Will You Love Me”, from his newly released EP entitled, “The Hope of My Soul”. His music has had almost a BILLION digital streams, and his live concerts in the most prestigious venues in America are consistently sold out. Our guest is also an accomplished actor, who's appeared on TV in “Masters of Sex”, Legend”, “Star”, “Dear Santa, I Need a Date”, and the highly acclaimed miniseries, “Genius: The Aretha Franklin Story”, in which he portrayed the legendary Curtis Mayfield. And if all of that weren't enough, our guest created a groundbreaking charitable organization, the MAJOR DOT HOPE Foundation, which has the crucially important mandate of instilling, inspiring and amplifying HOPE through entertainment, civic engagement, community development, youth engagement, confidence coaching, philanthropy and much more. And he's released 2 spoken word albums that form the philosophical basis for the Foundation. His music and his message are inspirational, and relatable, and filled with positivity and hope. This man, who's often referred to as “the Hope Dealer”, is well on his way to becoming a legend. Hello to you listening in Ooltewah, Tennessee!Ooltewah Pronunciation Guide Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Thoughts on Thursday and your host, Diane Wyzga.Maybe like me you look at the analytics, downloads, and likes; they're not measuring up to what you would like. You're invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, follow, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time! Conversations w/ Coach Coy - Season 2 - Keep On' Keepin' On! - Conversation #10 06/20/2022Staying the course is a form of Self-Love. In this episode, we focus on not giving up! Just keeping on with whatever it is we've desired to do. We may have taken a pause, a stop or even a hard stop - even if so, we cannot let that be the end- Keep On Keepin' On.
KINDA got me in a dilemma here...I done run my mouth so much...I don't even remember the exact topic! But judging from the title, I would say that it has something to do with how good hunters continually bump across what they looking for! After years spent in the woods, I know one thing...if you are out there...there is hope. Many is the time I checked one more gate, one more "hole", or left the truck one more time and ended up with a great hunt! So hang in there and KEEP ON...KEEPIN' ON.

In 2019 Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw (of Will & Woody fame) released the video, "Best Mates Sit Down For A Heart To Heart About Depression". If you haven't seen it, you really must. It's a fantastic example of the power of vulnerability. Will McMahon has enjoyed a phenomenal career in radio, currently co-hosting the drive slot on the KISS network. He's at the top of his game, yet Will has achieved all this whilst enduring the undulations of living with a mental illness. Following the chat, Ryan and Hugh explore some of these valuable lessons a little further, surrounding the topics of ‘male friendship' and ‘expectations'. 主播 / 贺愉 相征封面设计 / 划水怪音频后期 / 日子音频上传 / ObserverplaylistSean McConnell - I Could Have Been An Angel @00:02:31 Little Simz - 101 FM @00:07:32Carter Tutti Void - T 3.3 @00:12:27 Barker - Posmean @00:22:07Jacques Greene - Drop Location @00:28:50Andy Stott - Dismantle @00:32:15The Cinematic Orchestra - A Caged Bird/Imitations Of Life (Feat. Wednesday-Saturday: Austin Love & Lightstream. Local music patron organization Black Fret, which has awarded $1.7 million in grants to Austin acts since 2014, has teamed up with historic venue Scholz Garten to present a five-day series featuring six hours of livestreamed performances each day. The events began on Tuesday and will wrap up on Saturday. Wednesday’s lineup will feature Gordy Quist & Evan Charles (4 p.m.), Tomar & the FCs (5 p.m.), Barbara Nesbitt (6 p.m.), Belle Sounds (7 p.m.), Sam Houston & Blk Odyssy (8 p.m.) and Alesia Lani (9 p.m.). Lineups for Thursday through Saturday are still TBA. blackfret.org. Donations: blackfret.org/make-a-donation — P.B. Wednesday: ComboPlate Booking Roster Party. Initially an event scheduled for Guero’s during SXSW, this annual benefit for Caritas of Austin’s food service programs is now set for livestreaming from several of the participating artists’ homes, including Matt the Electrician, Raina Rose, JM Stevens, Curtis McMurtry, Betty Soo, Nathan Hamilton and Beaver Nelson. Dozens of gift cards will be given to anyone who donates $50 or more. 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. facebook.com/comboplatebooking. Donations: southbysoupfest.org. — P.B. Wednesday: Ray Wylie Hubbard. Overshadowed by the world turning upside down late last week was the uniquely bizarre announcement that Wimberley’s own Ray Wylie Hubbard has signed to Nashville major Big Machine Records, home to Tim McGraw, Sugarland, Midland and others. Want proof? Tune into his livestream, which will air at 7 p.m. from, you guessed it, facebook.com/bigmachinerecords. — P.B. Wednesday: Little Mazarn. An Austin360 Artist of the Month in 2019, Little Mazarn is Lindsey Verrill, who plays banjo and sometimes upright bass, with Jeff Johnston, who plays the saw and sometimes bowed glockenspiel. The sound is as intriguing and enchanting as the instrumentation suggests, providing minimal but vital accompaniment for Verrill’s songs full of open space and natural wonder. 7 p.m. facebook.com/littlemazarn. Donations: See streaming site. — P.B. Friday: Emily Gimble. The official Texas State Musician for 2020, Emily followed in the footsteps of her legendary grandfather Johnny Gimble, the pioneering western swing fiddler who was named Texas State Musician in 2003. Gimble’s instrument of choice is piano, and she’s been a regular in local clubs for more than a decade, both on her own and during stints with Warren Hood and Asleep at the Wheel. In a social media post announcing the show, Gimble said she’s “planning on making this a regular thing until the storms clear.” 6 p.m. facebook.com/mlegimble. Donations: Venmo mlegimble; PayPal mlegimble@gmail.com — P.B. Friday-Thursday: Jackie Venson. No stranger to virtual jams, Austin’s guitar ace has been hosting online sessions for fans and followers in her JV Squad Facebook group for over a year. Now, with the coronavirus pandemic leaving much of the country homebound, she’s pledged to drop an internet jam session each night at 9:30 p.m. In addition to singing and playing guitar, she might hop on the piano or treat listeners to tunes from her new Jackie the Robot DJ set. “It’s all on the table now. I mean, last night’s show featured Jackie doing a rendition of ‘Keep On’ on the ukulele,” Venson’s manager (and fiance) Louie Carr said on Tuesday. facebook.com/jackievenson. Donations: paypal.me/jackievenson — D.S.S. Saturday: DJ Mel’s Living Room Dance Party. On March 16, when the South by Southwest Music Festival should have been kicking off but Austinites were hunkered down at home instead, DJ Mel took to the turntables to host the first edition of this virtual body-rock-a-thon. Thousands of viewers from around the country tuned in. Expecting to play for a handful of “Austin homies,” he was “shocked” by the response, he told the Statesman on Sunday afternoon while combing through the 17,000 comments on his Facebook post. He’s decided to make the Saturday night jam a regular affair. The party will kick off at 6 p.m. and run till 10, and to keep the (virtual) event family-friendly, he plans to use radio edits of all your favorite rap tunes. facebook.com/DJ-Mel-48330349120 — D.S.S. RELATED: Thousands tune in to DJ Mel’s virtual dance party Sunday: Jeff Plankenhorn. Not since Junior Brown’s 1990s breakthrough with his “guit-steel” has an Austin-based artist become so specifically associated with a custom-made instrument as Plankenhorn’s trusty “plank,” a Dobro-like contraption. His versatility as a musician has long made him in high demand with acts including Joe Ely and the Resentments, the latter outfit having welcomed him into their fold many years ago for Sunday night shows at the Saxon Pub. With those shows on hold for now amid the coronavirus pandemic, Plankenhorn has staked out some time this Sunday for a virtual show of his own. 8 p.m. facebook.com/events/194330805185995.
