GUESTS: Richard Corbett of Voi Technology, Adam Norris of Pure Electric, and Kersten Heineke of the McKinsey Center for Future MobilityThe term "micromobility" was first coined by Horace Dediu of Micromobility Industries, and refers to minimalist personal mobility, using vehicles weighing no more than 500kg.Micromobility is now widely accepted as part of our vocabulary, but ask for a definition, and you'll get a wide range of responses. You can be sure, however, that the definition will include e-scooters.And that's thanks to the e-scooter boom that's taken place over the last few years, with a growing number of towns and cities around the world offering e-scooters since they first appeared on the streets of LA and San Francisco in about 2018.Motorized scooters are nothing new, of course - they've been around for over a century - but it was a start-up in Singapore that brought free-floating rentable electric scooters to life in 2016, and a revolution was born. It's safe to say that e-scooters are here to stay – but what does that mean for the cities with no e-scooter strategy in place that find themselves suddenly hosting e-scooter providers? And even if a city does have a micromobility strategy, how does it integrate micromobility start-ups into its long-established public transport services? Then there's the detail: pay-as-you-go or subscription, docked or free-floating? Not to mention regulation, safety, and monitoring… And that's before we've even had time to think about profitability. For city regulators, each of these needs careful thought, planning, and time – in stark contrast to the fast-moving world in which many of the micromobility start-ups like to operate. We're delighted to welcome to the RIDE podcast three experts on micromobility:Richard Corbett of Voi TechnologiesAdam Norris of Pure ElectricKersten Heineke of the McKinsey Center for Future Mobility

"I don't want to be pigeonholed" is something I hear often from YouTubers. I find this strange.Being pigeonholed essentially means that you are THE expert on a topic, why would you NOT want to be that? Being niche on YouTube means that you become known for that niche. So whenever people want that info, they instantly know where to look! But how do you dominate a niche? Is YouTube too saturated so every niche is taken?I chat with Shorty Award winner, Richard Corbett from Wheels2Walking, about his inspiring story and how he created an amazing channel! On today's TubeTalk episode you will learn:How circumstances can lead to inspirationHow to focus on your audience and deal with hatersHow you are the brand in your nicheHow to collaborate with other channelsMake sure you check out Richard's channels here:Website: https://Wheels2Walking.com YouTube: https://YouTube.com/wheels2walking Instagram: https://Instagram.com/wheels2walking Facebook: https://Facebook.com/wheels2walkingThis show is hosted by Liron Segev who is a Tech Blogger, YouTuber, and the Director of customer success at vidIQ. It's unbelievable that Richard Corbett is still alive. A 50 foot fall into an underground parking lot didn't kill him, but an addiction to pain medication and a mental breakdown, nearly did. Finding his way out of the darkest of places, Richard is a now world class YouTube video producer making informative how to videos for newly injured wheelchair users.
Mike Buckley interviews Richard Corbett MEP, retiring leader of Labour's European Parliamentary Labour Party. They discuss what Labour has achieved in the European Parliament, Brexit, our future return to Europe and what happens next.
Yesterday I announced that I was quitting The Andrew Deitsch Podcast. Today, I'm so excited to announce my brand new show, The Wheels2Walking Podcast!! 2 years ago, I met Richard Corbett for the first time to record Episode 47 of the Andrew Deitsch Podcast. We sat down and he told his powerful story of spinal cord injury, addiction, suicide, and recovery publicly for the first time. This was the exact reason why I started my podcast. To give people a platform where they could share their stories and talk about deep subjects. After listening to his episode over and over, Richard realized he had something to say, and decided that he wanted to create something even bigger. I started working as his producer full time, and he let me build my podcast studio in his condo. We were an amazing team, and our business relationship and friendship grew stronger and stronger. Over the past year, Richard and I have been traveling around the country shooting videos for the Wheels2Walking YouTube channel. 7 Million views later, we realized that we had a lot more to talk about than just wheelchair stuff, but I knew that I couldn't just keep having him as a guest on my show. Today, we're launching our brand new weekly show where we talk about current events, what it's like being full time YouTubers, and dissect our unique friendship / business relationship. If you've been a fan of the ADP, I know you'll really enjoy the Wheels2Walking Podcast. This is a huge step for me to totally change up my platform, but I know this is the right move. The first 6 episodes are live now everywhere you listen to podcasts, but please please please go leave us a review on Apple Podcasts

My guest today is Richard Corbett. Richard is a very interesting dude. He's a professional artist, a bodybuilding and fitness fanatic, he's a college dropout, and he is working through a massive injury that left him wheelchair bound. He is on an obsessive quest of becoming the best version of himself, therefore he is breaking down his own physical barriers and mental barriers day after day. Richard got deep and very transparent and he told me that there were some things he shared during this podcast that he had never shared publicly. He's got some of the best stories that I've heard so far on my show, and I really want to thank him for being so open and honest. I am happy to say that we have become friends since recording this episode. I want to thank Richard again for being on the show and being so open and vulnerable. In this second part of Europe Now, we leave the pro-Remain capital and head to the north of the country, to Yorkshire, where the Leave vote was victorious. Our guest is Richard Corbett, a Labour MEP, who shows us the two sides of the region – to Leeds, which narrowly voted to stay a year ago, and to Bradford, where the choice went the other way.
