Subscribe to Greg Fitzsimmons: https://bit.ly/subGregFitz Iran is the new Iraq, ICE is sneaking into girl's dorms and Hilary (once again) swears Bill is not a perv. Greg and Mike are back with a road-warrior edition of Sunday Papers, broadcasting from a ski house in Wilson, Wyoming, complete with barking dogs, vacuuming cleaning crews, and the looming drive to the airport . The guys recap Jackson Hole runs and Corbett's Couloir wipeouts, revisit a legendary college misunderstanding involving a buddy's new job, and then dive into the week's headlines. They break down U.S. and Israel's strikes on Iran , the Radiohead vs. ICE social media dust-up , media shakeups at CBS , and somehow detour into quicksand panic, Florida and Kentucky crime stories , aging parents behind the wheel , and a motorcycle helmet life hack for instant right-of-way . Plus: Neanderthal dating theories, Epstein jokes, family-business advice, Neil Sedaka memories , and a lightning-round “This Day in History” featuring Yellowstone, Bieber, Ron Howard, Hoover Dam, and the Lindbergh baby . It's chaotic, topical, and exactly what you want from two friends trying to make sense of the world while laughing more than they talk. Gentle note about about medical and surgical references in this episodeIn this episode of The Radical Massage Therapist, I sit down with Bobbi-Jo Corbett, RMT, to talk about something that deserves way more attention in our profession: scar tissue and hypermobility.Bobbi-Jo treats what she calls “like a weirdo” — meaning she questions the default, follows the research, and approaches scar tissue gently, strategically, and systemically. We talk about why scar care isn't an add-on… it's healthcare. We explore the snowball effect of poorly treated scars, the ripple effects on our healthcare system, and how massage therapists can step into a bigger role.Bobbi-Jo has taken the leap to share her experience and unique approach to treatment and educate practitioners on scar tissue treatments with online and in person workshops. We also dive into hypermobility — what it actually looks like in real bodies, how it changes assessment and treatment, and why some of our go-to techniques might not be as supportive as we think. This conversation is about curiosity. It's about evolving your lens. And it's about building a career that keeps you mentally engaged, professionally growing, and excited to show up.

"If you don't have that level of intimacy, I'm sorry, you're friends." Infidelity usually doesn't start in the bedroom. It starts in the silence. When couples stop talking honestly, stop checking in, stop being curious about each other, something shifts. Intimacy cools. Resentment builds. And before anyone realizes it, the relationship feels more like a partnership of logistics than a connection between lovers.  Nikki Corbett makes the case that cheating is rarely just about sex. It's about feeling unseen. Unheard. Unwanted. Men often experience that loss through the absence of sex. Women often experience it through emotional distance. But underneath it all, both want the same thing: closeness. Nikki also pushes back on the shame surrounding divorce and past relationships, questioning why growth is treated like guilt—especially for women.  Nikki is the host of The Scarlet Edit, where she dives into infidelity, divorce, and complex relationship dynamics. After her own divorce and a five-year relationship with a married man, she decided to speak openly about the lessons most people keep private.  Learn more & connect:    https://nikki-corbett.com/  You can also find Nikki on:  YouTube  Instagram  LinkedIn  Facebook  Also in this episode:  Ashley Madison  The Scarlet Letter  Susan Boyle  You're invited to come to a Sovereign Circle meeting to experience it for yourself. On this episode of Truth & Justice Show, we sit down with Brenden Corbett, a candidate for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, to discuss one of the most urgent challenges facing the criminal justice system today: the cycle of repeat crime and drug offenses. Corbett explains how many individuals exit the jail system only to return shortly after, trapped in a revolving door driven by addiction, lack of support, and failed reintegration. Rather than focusing solely on incarceration, he outlines a vision that prioritizes accountability paired with real solutions—helping individuals coming out of custody successfully assimilate back into society. The conversation explores public safety, rehabilitation, and the role law enforcement can play in breaking long-standing cycles that harm individuals, families, and communities across Los Angeles County. This episode offers a thoughtful look at how addressing reentry and recovery is essential to reducing crime and building safer neighborhoods.

The Imago Dei Revealed Through The Book of Genesis, Part 5 - When the Imagines No Longer Image God

Messages that matter by Dr. Andrew Corbett

The description of humankind as being in "the image of God" is an indication of what it means to be human and why we should regard each person with a sacred reverence which bestows on them dignity and a life that is worthy of respect. But can this "image of God" be lost, deformed and destroyed? If so, what does this mean for what it means to be a human being? In this episode Dr Corbett shows how the book of Genesis unfolds and displays the original human populations as failing to live up to what it means to be "in the image of God" - yet, simultaneously, GOD was at work unfolding His plan to redeem mankind so that they, we, could be reconciled to God and once again be renewed in our hearts and minds to live as imagines of God. The Latin term 'imago Dei' means "the image of God". It is considered one of the most influential anthropological concepts about what it means to be human. It occurs in various forms only four times in the first nine chapters of Genesis but is considered the chief reason for the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights declaring the inherent equality of all human beings, and the reason that human life is treated as exceptional by all nations around the world. This important motif is introduced in Genesis 1:26-27 without definition or explanation, yet it has spawned hundreds of thousands of books and articles exploring its consequences and significance. Throughout this mini-series of theological sermons and lectures I will demonstrate how it is enlarged beyond the ninth chapter Genesis and is finally presented in the closing chapters of Genesis Christologically.

A courtroom isn't a referendum on character, and we dig into why that principle matters. We break down the Supreme Court of Canada's updated guidance on Corbett applications—the rules that govern when an accused's criminal record can be used to challenge credibility. We talk plainly about the balancing test judges apply: weigh probative value against unfair prejudice. Dishonesty offences like fraud and perjury can be highly relevant to truthfulness; dated youth convictions for non‑deceitful violence usually are not. In the case we cover, the trial judge erred by admitting the latter, but the conviction still stood because the evidence was overwhelming. It's a sharp lesson in tailoring cross‑examination to credibility, not propensity. Then we pivot to travel law with a surprising twist: a passenger burns his hand serving oatmeal in an airline lounge and sues. We map the Montreal Convention's strict liability regime and why “embarking” is the line that matters. Being in a branded lounge past security isn't enough; you need to be within the airline's boarding control, like lined up at the gate. With the Convention off the table, the claim turns on occupiers' liability. Reasonable safety does not mean perfect safety, and common sense counts. Hot food is hot, a clear flame symbol was present, and there was no proof of excessive temperature or unsafe setup—so no negligence. We close with a procedural reality check: reopening a case after you lose is rare. Courts will only allow it to prevent a miscarriage of justice, not to offer a second chance to fix gaps in evidence. Across these stories, a consistent theme emerges: Canadian law protects fairness through careful boundaries—on what juries hear, when airlines are strictly liable, how far safety duties go, and when a judgment is truly final. Enjoy the tour through credibility, common carriers, and courtroom finality—and if this resonates, follow, share, and leave a review to help others find the show.Follow this link for a transcript of the show and links to the cases discussed.

Cold plunges are everywhere, and the way people talk about them, you'd think they're a miracle cure for your brain, body, and soul. But in an age of algorithm-fueled evangelism, when a ritual becomes this ubiquitous and loud, we have to ask: how much of the buzz is backed by science… and how much is just marketing? In this episode, we explore the neuroscience of cold exposure: what's real, what's overstated, and why this "discomfort" has become a billion-dollar industry. We discuss: Why cold plunges went viral, and how wellness movements often devolve into identity-driven cultures The difference between cold exposure itself and the monetized "cold plunge movement" What constitutes a "cult" (and how pseudoscience forms around partial truths) The real physiological cold shock response Why the mental "high" after a plunge doesn't automatically equal long-term brain benefit The cardiovascular risks that rarely get discussed, especially for people with underlying heart disease What the research suggests about soreness, pain reduction, and muscle growth (including why cold immersion can blunt hypertrophy) The real story behind brown fat Who should avoid cold plunges altogether (asthma, arrhythmias, coronary disease, vascular conditions) Joining us for this conversation is investigative journalist and bestselling author Scott Carney (What Doesn't Kill Us, The Wedge), who has spent years inside the cold exposure world, first as a skeptic, then as a believer, and eventually as a critic of the culture that formed around it. His work reveals what happens when discomfort becomes identity, and when unfounded "social media science" outruns real science. There's an appetite for live comedy in New Zealand at the moment. Major international players such as Jimmy Carr and Matt Rife have had their success, and now attention is shifting to local acts. And Jeremy Corbett is a big part of that – headlining the upcoming ‘Weekend Laughs' comedy showcase, is the star act for a show in Matakana next month, and is the host of our longest running comedy show ‘7 Days', which is setting up for its 18th season. He's been doing comedy for over thirty years, telling Mike Hosking the real success is sticking around. When ‘7 Days' first went to air in 2009, Corbett had much lower expectations for its longevity. "If you'd asked me, I would have gone, I reckon we could get five years,” he explained. "Someone said to me, how, y'know, what's the success?” “And I think just sticking around, much like yourself Mike, if you stick around long enough, they can't get rid of you.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

God's love never lets go—even through failure, loss, and shame—redeeming what can feel beyond repair. In this deeply moving episode, Terri Lynn-Corbett shares her journey through rejection, broken relationships, and painful questions, revealing how God proved Himself faithful, present, and powerfully restoring.Through seasons marked by heartbreak and disappointment, Terri discovered that our mistakes do not cancel God's plans. Instead, He specializes in restoring what has been broken and rebuilding lives on the firm foundation of His love. Like the Samaritan woman at the well, Terri encountered Jesus not with condemnation, but with compassion—inviting her to come boldly, baggage and all, and receive true healing and identity. What once felt like ashes became beauty as God replaced sorrow with joy, fear with hope, and shame with freedom. Terri's testimony is a compelling reminder that God's promises never fail, His love never leaves, and our true identity and affirmation are found in Him alone. If you've ever wondered whether God could still love you, restore you, or use your story for good, this conversation will remind you that God is still writing your story—and His love never lets go.Click here for SHOW NOTES!Start a Her God Story Podcast Club! Quotes from the episode:   "Better isn't a goal, it's a direction." "HVAC can feel like a house of mirrors for homeowners, and the cure is transparency plus measured results." "We're not trying to find the perfect contractor. We're trying to find the contractor who keeps learning and won't get complacent." In this episode of the Building HVAC Science Podcast, Eric Kaiser flips the script and brings Bill Spohn on as a guest alongside Kevin Hart from Better HVAC and Darren Reuter and Huff Hoffmaster from Rewiring America. The group lays out a shared problem: homeowners face a significant information disadvantage when buying HVAC, often making a five-figure decision with no easy way to verify quality beyond marketing, promises, or price. That gap leads to mistrust, inconsistent outcomes, and too many "box swaps" that miss sizing, duct performance, commissioning, and homeowner education. Better HVAC exists to tip the odds back toward the homeowner by connecting people to contractors and individuals who commit to doing measured, commissioned work, and by aggregating trusted educational resources in one place. Rewiring America adds the consumer education and electrification planning layer, plus a push to scale adoption responsibly, with real contractor standards behind it. The partnership ties those strengths together: instead of building separate directories, they align on a shared pledge and a badging approach that helps homeowners and peers filter for contractors who are trained, insured, licensed, and willing to follow best practices, especially for heat pumps and whole-home electrification journeys that also include weatherization and energy auditing.   Rewiring America's website: https://www.rewiringamerica.org/ BetterHVAC website:https://betterhvac.org/ BetterHVAC Pledge: https://betterhvac.org/pledge   Huff's LinkedIn :https://www.linkedin.com/in/thomas-huff-hoffmaster-ii-766b3a36/ Kevin's LinkedIn:https://www.linkedin.com/in/kevinrhart/ Darren's LinkedIn:https://www.linkedin.com/in/darrenreuter98/ Bill's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/billspohn/   Corbett's list: https://homediagnosis.tv/hvac-installers     This episode was recorded in January 2026

The façade of the “sweet grandmother in a cardigan” shattered today. In this hard-hitting Hidden Killers breakdown, we walk through nine of the most devastating revelations from Sergeant Christopher Corbett's testimony — evidence so precise, so digital, and so tightly woven that it left the courtroom stunned. These weren't theories. These weren't assumptions. These were time-stamped movements, call patterns, incriminating texts, and Donna Adelson's own words, laid out with forensic clarity. Among the biggest blows: • The “Outside your house” text. A message sent at the exact moment prosecutors say Donna was tracking Dan Markel's movements. • “Erase this after you read it.” A chilling instruction no innocent person casually sends. • Charlie's perfectly timed calls — aligning almost to the minute with rental car pickups tied to the hit. • Donna's movements minutes after the murder, including a route that conveniently took her past Charlie's house. • Calling the Markel children “Adelsons” two weeks before Dan was killed, revealing a mindset prosecutors say exposes motive. • A 2013 email laying out a coordinated plan involving Donna, Harvey, and Charlie — to corner, pressure, and financially squeeze Dan. A blueprint prosecutors argue became the DNA of the murder plot. Corbett's testimony destroyed any illusion that this was mere “family conflict.” The jury saw a digital trail of coordination, secrecy, and intent — breadcrumb after breadcrumb pointing straight toward Donna. This episode breaks down each bombshell moment in plain language, showing how the prosecution connected Donna's texts, location data, phone records, and long-running resentments into a narrative that's now impossible to ignore. Listen closely. These weren't harmless family conversations. They were signals, timing cues, and cover stories — the anatomy of a conspiracy unraveling in real time. #DonnaAdelson #DanMarkel #AdelsonTrial #MurderForHire #CharlieAdelson #TrueCrime #WiretapEvidence #CourtroomDrama #HiddenKillers #PhoneRecords #CrimeAnalysis Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this episode, Michael Shermer is joined by journalist and author Rachel Corbett to dismantle the myths behind criminal profiling, from the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit to our obsession with serial killers, mindhunters, and "psychological fingerprints." Corbett explains why randomness is harder to accept than evil, and how our hunger for neat explanations can actually make us less safe. Plus, the legacy of MKUltra and Ted Kaczynski, the seductive appeal of true crime, and the uncomfortable truth behind the "Jekyll and Hyde" problem: monsters rarely look like monsters. True Crime Tuesday presents The Monsters We Make: Murder, Obsession, and the Rise of Criminal Profiling with Writer/Columnist/Author, Rachel Corbett! Criminal profiling―the delicate art of collecting and deciphering the psychological “fingerprints” of the monsters among us―holds an almost mythological status in pop culture. But what exactly is it, does it work, and why is the American public so entranced by it? What do we gain, and endanger, from studying why people commit murder? In The Monsters We Make, author Rachel Corbett explores how criminal profiling became one of society's most seductive and quixotic undertakings through five significant moments in its history. Corbett follows Arthur Conan Doyle through the London alleyways where Jack the Ripper butchered his victims, depicts the tailgate outside of Ted Bundy's execution, and visits the remote Montana cabin where Ted Kaczynski assembled his antiestablishment bombs. Along the way emerge the people who studied and unraveled these cases. We meet self-taught psychologist Henry Murray, who profiled Adolf Hitler at the request of the U.S. government and later profiled his own students―including the future Unabomber―by subjecting them to cruel humiliation experiments. We also meet the prominent Yale psychiatrist Dorothy Lewis, who ended up testifying that Bundy was too sick to stand trial. Finally, Corbett takes the story into our own time, explaining the rise of modern “predictive policing” policies through a study of one Florida family that the analytics targeted―to devastating effects. With narrative intrigue and deft research, Corbett delves deep into the mythology and reality of criminal profilers, revealing how thin the line can be separating those who do harm and those who claim to stop it. On Today's True Crime Tuesday, we talk to Rachel about whether criminal profiling is a science or an educated guess!  We also get into the cases in the book involving Ted Bundy, The Unabomber, Henry Murray, and then we talk extensively about Pasco County, Florida and their profiling program trying to prevent criminals from developing a career before they even get started ala Minority Report! Curing with Sound

Adenomyosis is a condition in which the uterine lining grows into the muscular wall of the uterus, often causing heavy menstrual bleeding, severe cramping, and chronic pelvic pain. It is estimated to affect 25–60% of women worldwide. Despite its prevalence, treatment options in North America remain extremely limited. Many patients are forced to choose between long-term opioid pain management or a hysterectomy, options that can significantly impact quality of life. In this episode of Curing with Sound, we speak with Dr. Vanda Corbett, a healthcare practitioner who endured decades of debilitating adenomyosis-related pain before discovering focused ultrasound. She first learned about this noninvasive treatment after listening to an episode of the Not Your Mother's Menopause podcast featuring Suzanne LeBlang, MD, the Foundation's Director of Clinical Relationships.  Determined to find an alternative to surgery or opioids, Dr. Corbett made the life-changing decision to travel from Dubai to Chongqing Haifu Hospital in China for a focused ultrasound procedure. Her transformative experience has motivated her to share her story, so more women can learn about this revolutionary noninvasive treatment option. Discussion highlights: Medical Travel Experience: Follow Dr. Corbett's journey from Dubai to Chongqing, including the preparation process, travel logistics, and the patient-centered care she received at a specialized focused ultrasound hospital. Immediate Treatment Results and Advocacy Mission: Discover how Dr. Corbett experienced complete pain relief within hours of her procedure, shifting from decades of debilitating symptoms to a return to normal daily life. Learn about her mission to raise awareness of adenomyosis and the potential of focused ultrasound through storytelling and social media. Watch Dr. Corbett's documentary videos tracking her journey with Adenomyosis and her focused ultrasound treatment. Listen to Dr. Corbett's podcast interview on Dr. Lovely's Not Your Mother's Menopause podcast, where she discusses treating Adenomyosis with focused ultrasound. In this powerful and personal episode of the Not Your Mother's Menopause Podcast, Dr. Fiona Lovely is joined by her longtime friend, Dr. Vanda Corbett, to pull back the curtain on one of women's health's most devastating secrets: adenomyosis. Often called the "evil twin" of endometriosis, this condition affects a staggering 25-60% of women, yet remains shrouded in misinformation and diagnostic neglect. Dr. Corbett, a wellness professional with a doctorate in chiropractic and a master's in positive psychology, shares her own harrowing journey with adenomyosis, detailing the severe pain and debilitating heavy bleeding that were normalized and dismissed by multiple medical professionals. She recounts being presented with only two bleak options: a lifetime of powerful opioids or a hysterectomy. This candid conversation then takes a turn toward profound hope as Dr. Corbett reveals how a connection made through this very podcast led her to a life-changing, non-invasive treatment halfway across the world. She provides a fascinating education on High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), explaining how this precise technology ablates the problematic tissue without a single incision, offering a uterus-preserving solution that eliminated her chronic pain.  This episode is a crucial call to action for any woman who has been told her suffering is normal, arming listeners with the knowledge to advocate for better care and explore revolutionary treatments that exist beyond the standard Western medical playbook. If you or someone you love has ever been told that severe period pain is "just normal," this episode of the Not Your Mother's Menopause Podcast is essential listening. My guest, Dr. Vanda Corbett, shares her powerful fight against adenomyosis and the groundbreaking treatment that gave her her life back—without surgery.
