On this episode of TechTalk, Brad and Dr. Jay's talk with Dr. Naota Hashimoto, DC. Naota graduated from SCUHS (formally LACC), and with some hard work and mentorship, created a successful practice and at its peak, were collecting around 3.6 million per year with just 2.5 providers. Naota talks about how he has figured out many things to create a successful practice and heavily rely on successful systems knowing if he create repeatable processes in your office that can be executed by your team, life will be a lot easier. He found frustrations years ago from the lack of automated processes related to practice management software finding that a fair number of doctors and found similar issues with other practices. Even after using other third-party plugins for key performance metrics, he was still exporting data and creating his own spreadsheets because it wasn't the perfect dashboard. There was still double data entry, and none of it was attached to the follow-up and follow-through process. Plus, the more moving parts, providers, and service centers, the more likely he found patients falling through the cracks, wasted time creating spreadsheets, and frustrated staff. TrackStat software was designed from day 1 to provide a visual workflows for each user. It allows the clients to make decisions based on real data filtered down by various criteria to make an effective decision based on data rather than gut feelings. With this tool, our clients could boost their weekly production by 10 to 20 percent with about 15 minutes of effort per day.

I thought now would be a great time to finally interview one of my old interns, Dr. Jermey Dinkin DC. Now practicing in New Jersey, Jermey is one of my "go to" suggestions when people ask for help on the northern east coast. Jermey graduated SCUHS chiropractic college in Fall 2018. While attended internship at my clinic, he became a (dare I say it) master of management of lumbar discs, hip FAI and easy integration into loading. I dig his style. I know it's hard to say "mastery" with a new grad but he's really damn good at it... better than some older chiropractors even! Thanks for being a great friend. The experience of internship paved the way for many interns to come from my office. Before you, I had no plans of eduction of new docs. Thanks for allowing me to learn with you on your journey. Seb Video of Jermey learning to do a video... Fun Stuff :)  SHOW NOTES http://rsmsportsmed.com

Opportunity to spend time in the radiology departments of cooperative teaching hospitals and at two medical imaging centers adds practical, as well as didactic, experience in pertinent areas beyond that which could be gained in a purely chiropractic setting.
