A familiar name to many at our Delayed HQ, Plant 43 has quite the storied past with releases on Semantica, Central Processing Unit, Shipwrec, Eudemonia as well as his own self-titled, Plant43 Recordings. Today we're happy to premiere ‘Unknown Structure' the title track from his latest EP off of Future Massive. Unknown Structure is a top peak time electro tune, tinged with sweeping pads that provide a nice juxtaposition to the gritty synths and aggressive breakbeat percussion. Electro is within the very DNA of dance and electronic music itself, it emerged from that which came before, the likes of Kraftwerk and 80's hip hop remain as influential on the genre of the present as they were at the start. Plant43 is a producer who has dedicated much of his life in the pursuit of understanding and progression within the genre. Her has released music on the likes of Ai Records, Shipwrec, Semantica, Central Processing Unit and Frustrated Funk amongst others. His sound has evolved over many years, moving with the times yet never far from the music he first fell in love with. During the late nineties Plant43, real name Emile Facey, promoted parties in London showcasing both the best in up and coming and stalwart electro, connecting producers and dj's alike. This mix comes alongside the release of a new record on his own Plant43 label, an imprint which he founded in 2020 to release his own material.

Robert Witschakowski-Jockel has been a core part of electro's evolution since the late nineties. From early days bringing big names like Jeff Mills and Robert Hood to his hometown of Jena as a promoter, he soon elevated himself to become one of the best acid live acts in the game. Nowadays, he runs his own carefully-curated Solar One Music, has collaborated with Drexciya's Gerald Donald and released his own shadowy electro on Shipwrec, Clone West Coast Series and Crème Organization. He is a hugely prolific artist who is always tweaking and evolving his sound while staying true to his original sci-fi visions. All of that feeds into this week's mix, which is a bumpy, rough riding electro adventure that unfolds with a real sense of narrative. From the icy and high speed launch it quickly moves on to moments of smooth-cruising calm, guides you through solar storms and frantic acid work outs. The texture change, too, from ragged and frazzled to shiny and seductive, but are all stitched together seamlessly by a master of the form.

Dj set plaued by Umwelt at Nobel 4 by m_division in Saint Petersburg Hачал музыкальную карьеру в начале 90-х во французском Лионе. Coming from the Rave scene in Lyon in the early 90's, Umwelt made his first victims on the dancefloor of numerous warehouses in France. In 1997, he releases his first productions. Combination of analogue rhythms and sounds, his music creates gloomy and electric atmosphere propelling the listeners into abyssal worlds. The instinct, that's a value that hits the world of electronic music. Knowing that one is going in the right direction, that what we do is just because it comes from itself. This could also be something obvious, a notion shared by everyone. Now it seems that just going with the winds of time is always a popular principle among current producers. Whatever, Umwelt has crossed so many eras that he doesn't care about the news. For over twenty years, he broadcasts and produces only the sound that resembles him. Hailing from Lyon fruitful rave scene of the 90's, Umwelt never let out of his way by the gleaming neon lights of the compromise. Tracing its way under the Techno Rave and Electro patronage of Drexciya, and armed with its analogs machines for friends only, the French was careful enough not to kill the fire of the first men. Umwelt continues indeed the work of pioneers, namely producing a fashion wild transportation, direct, able to take the listener into the underground worlds as well as the infinite space. Owner of two labels (New Flesh and Rave Or Die), author of three albums and twenty EP's on infamous labels such like Shipwrec, Satamile, Drivecom or Kommando 6, the producer never took a rest and has always followed his instinctive prescription: to create again and again, not by desire but by need. Umwelt is rare, his music is unique. https://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/umwelt https://soundcloud.com/umwelt-music BOOKING : booking@killekill.com BOOKING FRANCE : benjamin@kongfuzi-booking.fr
