"Nous sommes à la recherche d'alternatives à l'achat de produits neufs, les marchés de l'occasion et de la location se sont donc beaucoup développés. La location est une véritable alternative lorsqu'on veut répondre à un besoin ponctuel", explique Anaïs Desmoulins, CEO de Sline.Lancée commercialement à l'été 2022, la solution est présente aujourd'hui chez une dizaine de clients. "Le lancement d'offres de location représente un réel défi pour les e-commerçants, pour qui passer de la vente ponctuelle d'un bien à la distribution d'un service dans la durée constitue un réel challenge : gérer des paiements récurrents, gérer du risque (assurance) et des problématiques de logistique", détaille la CEO. Sline permet donc de "lancer de façon simple et rapide son offre de location".La startup ambitionne désormais d'étendre son activité en Espagne, en Italie et au Benelux notamment. "Nous allons également renforcer notre produit au niveau du storing et de la data".

Dennis Vernacchia, N6KI, was an active ham who was drafted by the US Army and sent to Vietnam at the height of the war in the late sixties.  This is an amateur radio story where Army MARS, ham radio, and the skills acquired from the hobby literally saved his life.  This situation and his relationship with a later prominent television comedian brought relief and comfort to American soldiers serving in Vietnam and their families.  Dennis is an active contester and tells the rest of his story in this QSO Today.
