Standig Room Only: A show about the Washington Football Team and D.C. sports
The Athletic's Ben Standig welcomes former NFL GM Randy Mueller to the podcast! First, Ben opens the show with an update on Chase Young's week, an OTA change and Ron Rivera's comments about the Washington Football Team's offense not needing to rely on a QB. Then Randy joins the discussion. He sees plenty of positives with Washington's offseason work, but the 2000 NFL executive of the year questions the release of Morgan Moses, and how releasing Geron Christian was perhaps the bigger miscue. There's also a great front-office philosophical conversation on the hypothetical pursuits of Aaron Rodgers and Julio Jones (16:42). Then Ben wraps up the show exploring the Wizards' 0-2 playoff hole against the 76ers and why Davis Bertans' struggles extend far beyond this series (59:11)
How to run. Specifically, how to run without injury and keep running into old age. We’re advocating running simply because it’s one of the easiest exercises that can be done nearly anywhere and anytime with little to no equipment required. So many people who would run however, do not. Even those who used to at an elite level. The reason? Aches and pains. We’ve gotten to where it’s the norm to stop running earlier in life and try to find an exercise with less impact. I had that as my own story. I did a 2 hour run on Father’s Day about five years ago. It was glorious. Except for the pain in my hip and back. Then Randy and I got a hold of some new information. Today we both run pain free. It’s not a promise for you, but it sure is a great hope. Jack Crandall – Brett Randy Anders – Kurt Erin Shaughnessy – John GM – Neil Erin, Randy and Jack debate the relative merits of sacrificing a cultist to close the portal versus just blowing it up as Edward instructed. Jack is all for the sacrifice hoping that the devils will become useful allies. It would also prevent them from coming after the group if they found another way out of hell. Randy is opposed to it because no matter how you look at it, it’s still murder. Even if it is an evil cultist. Erin is vacillating back and forth. Randy, at Jack’s prodding, reaches out to Lady Branwynn to see if there is a way to open another portal. She says that there isn’t another “thin” place that is close by that would allow for another portal but she does offer another suggestion. Complete the ritual and go to Carcosa and blow up the portal on that side. Everyone balks at that plan. Then Randy has a change of heart and agrees that they should sacrifice the cultist, Matthew. Lady Branwynn calls in her favor and says she would like for the guys to record the ritual for her. Randy tells her that they’ll be even and she quickly agrees. They then go to find Delphine. https://www.birdscoffeecompany.com/coffees/legends-of-tabletop-legendary-brew Use Code Legends10 to get 10% off your order https://www.patreon.com/legendsoftabletop Theme music created by Brett Miller http://www.brettmillermusic.net/
