NY Jets Podcast, JetNation Flight 29, Rami Lavi, Bilal Powell The New York Jets did exactly what you are supposed to do in this league, take care of business at home against a bad team. It was not flashy, it was not dramatic, it was simply a professional, business like win. Winning the games you should win is part of becoming a real NFL team again. We are back with another episode of JetNation Flight 29, our NY Jets Podcast. There has been a lot of noise about rooting for losses, draft position, blowing it up, and chasing picks. Winning matters, culture matters. You are not turning over one hundred percent of the roster, so these reps and these moments matter for the young core. Let them play, let them compete, and see who can grow into real roles going forward. That includes Brady Cook, you might as well see what you have in the kid. It also includes Justin Fields. Does he have a place here next year, could there be a package for him, trick plays, read option looks, designed runs, anything that gives you a spark. Would he even be open to that kind of role, these are the evaluations you make while still trying to win football games. Identity is the real priority for this team right now. Players like John Metchie are starting to show something. Young defenders are flashing. Pieces are forming, and the organization has to decide who fits the long term plan. The NFL Draft is part of that conversation, but the biggest names are not always the answer. The Jets quarterback of the future might be in this class, but the path to finding him starts with building a real foundation now. In this episode of JetNation Flight 29, Rami Lavi and Bilal Powell break down where the Jets stand, what the young players are showing, and how this team should approach the final stretch of the season while still expecting to win. When news broke Monday morning that the Miami Dolphins had traded Jaelan Phillips to Philadelphia for a 3rd round picks in the 2026 draft, most Dolphins fans expected at least one more trade to free up cap space and add draft capital. None materialized. Now the Dolphins find themselves in a division with the dominant Buffalo Bills, a resurgent New England Patriots team, and the NY Jets, who are loaded with draft capital and fully embracing a tank and rebuild strategy. The Dolphins' approach is unclear, but seems to be pointing towards...trying to salvage the 2025 season and the job of their head coach? Yikes. Salvaging anything at all is not going to be easy as all signs point to another lopsided loss coming this week as the Buffalo Bills come to town fresh off a victory over their arch nemeses Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Aaron and Josh are back to reflect on a week where the Dolphins' position in the AFC East and NFL seems to have gone from bad to worse and to preview this Sunday's divisional matchup with the Bills. Join us for another fun episode of THE SAME OLD DOLPHINS SHOW at DolphinsTalk.com!

Bucky is Lumber Bucking at home today after a tree fell across his driveway last night and we have some NFL trade deadline excitement to talk about! John Schneider didn't disappoint us yesterday, trading a 4th & 5th round draft pick to the Saints for wide receiver, Rashid Shaheed. Nationally, we saw a lot of people praising this trade as the Hawks add more fire power to an already humming offense. The NY Jets and Dallas Cowboys were also active ahead of the deadline and while we can understand the moves the Jets made, the question still remains whether or not they will be able to make smart choices with their increased draft capital and did they give away enough to ensure the 1st or 2nd pick? There are a lot of questions surrounding Dallas' moves as the team is 3-5 and doesn't seem like a legit SB contender, but… Jerry's gonna Jerry. :30- The College Football Rankings show premiered last night and while the rankings don't matter until the end, it's still fun to see where teams line up the first week of November. Does Oregon deserve the #9 spot? There are quite a few teams with no room for error and the Dawgs made the list at #23. :45- We now have our answer for who the Seahawks will face on Sunday when the Cardinals come to town and Jacoby Brissett will get the start. Is Arizona just done with Murray? Is he actually injured? Is it just safer to go with Brissett? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Absolutely packed episode since the last one; lots to discuss. We start with Week 6 in the NFL which was a terrible slate of games and the NY Jets were the worst of the worst (2:59); the Jets are an affront to NFL Football and everyone (the QB, the coach) stinks.
