This episode is about Christians and truth-telling about COVID19. The response has been very encouraging. It seems that many people share my concerns about how some Christians have been sharing things that are simply not true about COVID19 conspiracy theories. One point of clarification - I have since learnt that this is not an American-only problem. There are indeed some UK Christians sharing such things also, I just haven't noticed them in my feed. And there are also of course many USA Christians who would hold a similar pro-science pro-truth line to what I am trying to share in this podcast and the article on which it is based. The Video and original article can be found here: https://www.patheos.com/blogs/adrianwarnock/2020/08/christians-must-stop-lying-about-covid19/ --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/adrian-warnock/message
UK Christians sometimes look at their brothers and sisters in America and wonder why the church is so much more politically active on issues like abortion and sexuality. Are ‘culture wars' part of the church's calling or an unhelpful distraction? As agents of God's peace, should Christians engage in ‘culture wars' or focus on evangelism? Dr P. Andrew Sandlin addresses these questions theologically and Biblically. We are joined by Christian Concern's Chief Executive, Andrea Williams, Head of Public Policy, Tim Dieppe and Christian Legal Centre client Dr David Mackereth for the Q&A session.
5) Trump's peace deal reportedly a one-state solution; 4) House Dems make secret deals to “target” Trump; 3) Google dissolves AI advisory board; 2) Facebook used user data to land ad deals; 1) More than half of UK Christians don't believe Christ rose from the dead.
Have you experienced the supernatural in the last week? A new study found that 24 percent of UK Christians have—and those aren’t the only supernatural experiences they’re having. Find out what's going on and what they are experiencing.

We are joined by UK Christian evangelist Bobby Gilpin and US Mormon apologist Michael Flournoy for a thoughtful and friendly transatlantic debate on the subject of Mormonism and the Gospel. Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) preach the biblical Gospel? Or are many of its key teachings at variance with the Good News in Jesus Christ as contained in the Bible? Arguing in favour of the motion - "The Mormon Church teaches a different gospel to the Bible" - is Bobby Gilpin, who opens the debate ; arguing against the motion is Michael Flournoy, who speaks from his own conviction that the Bible is compatible with LDS teachings. Bobby Gilpin is Mission Co-ordinator for UK Partnerships for Christ, a ministry aimed at equipping and motivating UK Christians to reach out to Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and others with the biblical Gospel. Michael Flournoy is author of the book A Biblical Defense of Mormonism, and a passionate advocate of Mormon/Evangelical dialogue. (For show notes please visit http://themindrenewed.com)
