We now have body cam footage of the fatal crash that killed Washington State Trooper Christopher Gadd last year. // The media is doing its best to blame rising prices on Donald Trump and climate change. // The Democrats have a new contrived controversy about Trump.

If you thought SignalGate was bad, wait until you hear about ArchiveGate. Trump illegally fired the National Archivist—the first president in U.S. history to do so since the position was established in the 1930s. This wasn't just about a change in leadership; it was revenge on the Archivist's office alerting the DOJ about Trump's stolen classified documents, which were stored around Mar-a-Lago, a known hub for foreign spies.  But it gets worse. Marco Rubio, who is currently the Trump/Putin lackey Secretary of State, is also serving as the acting National Archivist. This unprecedented conflict of interest raises serious concerns. Rubio is juggling three major roles—Secretary of State, head of USAID, and now, National Archivist. This gives him the power to greenlight the destruction of government records, including his own, without any checks and balances. The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our political system, overseeing the administration of the Electoral College, preserving government records, and ensuring transparency. Now, with Rubio in control, we face the potential destruction of key documents and rewriting of history that could threaten our democracy. We open with a lot more about Signalgate, a scandal signifying nothing. One thing is certain, we need to find out how Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg was invited into the group. Is there a connection with Alex Wong who works for National Security Advisor Mike Waltz? The WSJ wrote a smear piece about Steve Witkoff, suggesting he had his personal cell with Signal while he was in Moscow. The Morning Joe ran with that story and got Goldberg to add to his telling of the tale began to walk back all day yesterday. Turns out, no one checked for truth and the story is total BS. The same intel folks were back on the Hill today, this time in front of the House Intelligence Committee. Jeffrey Goldberg released all the chats and turns out, there is nothing to see. No confidential information. But, that didn't stop Democrats from acting like petulant pre-teens in middle school. A group has filed a lawsuit against Pete Hegseth and the DoD over Signalgate. And, as if my magic, it was randomly assigned to Judge Boasberg. Speaking of judges, seems 33% of DC judges are foreign born, 100% of them had no judicial experience before being appointed by both Obama and Biden presidencies. Speaker Mike Johnson is considering defunding those district courts. On a positive note, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals halted Activist Judge Chuang's order, which required DOGE's access to much of USAID to be suspended. Another man pretending to be a woman used a bike lock as a club to hurt a real woman on a college campus who was part of Charlie Kirk's outreach team. Seems the confusion leads to a lot of uncontrollable rage and a desire to harm others. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) tried to make it look like someone had gotten in her face and another Congressman blocked that person. That was a lie. We have the footage of her reaching out and grabbing the camera. Finally, a couple of big wins for President Trump. First, he has declassified all FBI files related to operation Crossfire Hurricane. And while we have been focused on Signalgate, there is a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine in the Black Sea. (The Center Square) – After a vigorous hours-long debate that began the night before, Washington State Democrats in the House of Representatives on Saturday morning voted to pass legislation that would require would-be gun owners to obtain a permit before purchase. Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill 1163 passed along a 58-38 party-line vote – that is, with no Republican support. The bill would also have prospective gun owners complete a state-recognized firearm safety training course within the past five years to qualify for a permit. In addition, the bill requires enhanced background checks conducted via the Washington State Patrol's firearms background check program, including state and federal databases

For 132 years, a rule has existed in the Washington State Legislature's House of Representatives requiring a supermajority to suspend debate on a bill that has come to the floor. Last week, House legislators voted 54-33 to alter that rule, so that now only a majority is required to end debate.
