Intense scrutiny is coming for an Amnesty International report claiming Israel “has committed genocide” against Palestinians in Gaza. Despite not characterizing some clear atrocities in Sudan or Xinjiang as genocide, Amnesty came up with their own new definition for genocide they say applies to Israel. Watchdog organizations are coming to Israel's defense, saying these claims both misrepresent and twist the facts. Senior fellow at the Foundation for Defending Democracy Orde Kittrie joins the Evening Edition to explain how Amnesty tried to apply a double standard to Israel and how the group's funding helps illuminate their political motives.
