Another semi-final against Chelsea, and another loss for Tottenham Hotspur (obviously). Why can't Spurs ever get these games across the line, even when we are underdogs? Does Conte deserve to carry some of the flack for last night's performance? What was with that Gollini selection? Just how far off the pace are Tottenham, and who can we even bring in to fix this? Will Conte stick around? And if all that wasn't cheerful enough, we then preview the Arsenal game. Joy.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/ruletheroost. Emma Saunders is joined by former West Ham teammates Nigel Reo-Coker and Carlton Cole and EA presenter Nubaid Haroon to reflect on Sunday's Premier League matches. Tottenham's thrilling 2-2 draw with Liverpool caused a stir with some controversial refereeing decisions as Andy Robertson was sent off for a challenge on Emerson Royal in the second half. But should Harry Kane have met a similar fate after a high tackle on Robertson in the first half? Jurgen Klopp gives another spicy interview to Rob Nothman… Klopp didn't quite suggest he was Rob's puppy this time but he wasn't too happy with one question. The guys share what they thought of some of the decisions and whether Antonio Conte will be disappointed his side didn't take all three points. Liverpool's failure to win means Manchester City are three points clear at the top at Christmas after they beat Newcastle 4-0. That win wasn't without controversy either, with Newcastle adamant they should have had a penalty after Ederson took out Ryan Fraser in the box when City were 2-0 up. Hear what Alan Shearer made of that (SPOILER: He wasn't too impressed). Pep Guardiola also says he dropped some players because their behaviour off the pitch in the run up to Christmas has not been up to standard. The guys discuss whom Guardiola might be referring to and Nigel has a VERY interesting take on why Newcastle fans might not be too fussed if they get relegated… And Thomas Tuchel wasn't too happy after the Premier League rejected their request to postpone their game at Wolves due to a covid outbreak in the squad. They were held to a goalless draw at Molineux, which leaves them six points adrift of the top, so was Tuchel right to be annoyed about the game going ahead? TOPICS 04:48 - Refereeing decisions in Tottenham v Liverpool 13:34 - Jurgen Klopp interview with Rob Nothman 20:36 - Will Conte be disappointed with just a point? 23:34 - Manchester City going three points clear at the top 27:02 - Guardiola's expectations from players off the pitch 32.54 - Alan Shearer on Newcastle not being awarded a penalty 37.52 - Nigel on Newcastle fans not being bothered about relegation 42.25 - Thomas Tuchel on Chelsea's covid outbreak

#34! Today is a special episode. I sat down with Adam Mitter of Hougang United of the Singapore Premier League (10:38). We discussed his experience as a foreign player in Asia, including his time in Singapore, The Philippines, and India, as well as life as a soccer player abroad. I was suprised by some of his answers and how similarly soccer clubs accomodate foreign players to schools bringing over english teachers or factories and their engineers. It was a great conversation and I'm happy to have been able to sit down with him. Chelsea legend Kerry Dixon looks back at Chelsea's draw against Barcelona in the Champions' League and looks ahead to Chelsea's crunch match against Man Utd on Sunday.Kerry discusses the draw against Barcelona; a great performance but arguably a disappointing result. Does Kerry think that using Hazard as a 'false number 9' worked or would he rather have seen Giroud or Morata start up front? Is it harsh to criticise Andreas Christensen for a momentary lapse of concentration that led to the Barcelona goal and let them back in to the tie? Does Kerry think that Chelsea can get the result we need in the Nou Camp in a couple of weeks time?Looking ahead to Man Utd v Chelsea, always a big match but with added spice in the context of the on-going feud between former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and present Chelsea manager Antonio Conte. After Chelsea's midweek performance against Barcelona confidence should be high. Will Conte go for the win against Utd or will he be cautious. With Mourinho's record against the top six surprisingly poor as Man Utd manager, will he park the bus?In association with chelseafan12.com Memorabilia - Shop - News - Video - FanzoneTHE HOME OF THE 12TH MAN! - "THE FAN"Follow ChelseaFan12 on twitter: @Fan12Chelsea See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Mark Worrall as we celebrate the FanCast's 400th Show! Sadly there is little to celebrate in Chelsea's defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday as a lackluster Blues seemed not to 'want it' as much as lowly Palace. On the show tonight we’ll be asking does Chelsea have a personality crisis. What does Conte have to do to sort it out and is there something going on behind the scenes? In part two we say no Kante no party and claim that the only thing false about the number 9 position is Michy Batshuayi. Will Conte ring the changes and where do we go from here. In part three we look forward to the Champions’ League match against Roma on Wednesday. In part four we have a roundup of the latest Chelsea supporter news and we say thanks for the memories as we celebrate the 400th episode of the Chelsea Fancast. Chelsea legend Kerry Dixon and Stamford Chidge preview the FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Arsenal. Kerry and Chidge look back at the furore over JT's 26 minute guard of honour and Batshuayi's two cracking goals in the last Premier League match of the season last Sunday. But this weekend its all about the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Arsenal. Arsenal have some great FA Cup winning form over the years, but with most of their regular defence missing can they stand in the way of the Chelsea juggernaut to deny them their 8th FA Cup and second double? Will Fabregas or Matic start? Will Conte outwit Wenger? Will Costa bully Arsenal or can Sanchez provide the threat to bury Chelsea's double dreams? As always Kerry has all the answers, but we can guarantee that Saturday's final will, as always be a very special day in the football calendar. Whatever happens let's Keep The Blue Flag Flying High from Stamford Bridge to Wembley and Up The Chels! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
