As someone who's in the middle of their year-long rebrand, I can put my hands up and say that branding is an incredibly tricky thing to do. So I want to help open your eyes and give you the tea on what your brand actually is - when we build a brand, what we're actually doing is creating a magical worldview. And no one knows that better than the charming Cristel Smith-Aguero, a Multi-Hyphenate Designer + Mindset Coach. FC Barcelona vs. Levante 3-0 Match Review: FATIMANIA BACK! Ansu Fati Scores On His Return!

The Barca Breakdown discuss the results of Barca vs. Levante at the Camp Nou. Barca took 3 points, defeating Levante 3-0. Early, Depay won a penalty and scored for an early lead. Moving forward, Dest, acting as the left back in place of Alba, cut to the middle and delivered a ball for Luuk De Jong to score his first Barca goal. In the 81', Ansu Fati returned to the pitch for the first time in a year. In the first 9 minutes of his return, Fati took one to the back of the net, sealing a triumphant return as all had hoped. We further speak on improvements against Levante from the Cadiz and Granada games. These include better passing, more forward movement, and a fight to the end. Interestingly, this game showed Koeman away from the bench due to the red card against Cadiz, and assistant coach Alfred Schreuder was on the bench. We are very excited to see Fati perform well, and we will hopefully see Dembele, Aguero, and Braithwaite back with the team soon enough. Barca have some tough games coming up in the Champions League vs. Benfica, and against Atletico Madrid in La Liga. We need all fans to be in support of the team to see if we have a chance to win titles this season. Please like, comment and subscribe to our channel! Barcelona vs. Bayern Munich (3-0): Champions League Match Review-Did Koeman FAIL? Youth Impress?

Barca Breakdown (FC Barcelona)

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 15, 2021 19:35

The Barca Breakdown discusses Barca's first Champions League game against Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou. Without Fati, Dembele or Aguero, our attack was depleted and all Barca fans knew that this Bayern team were better with Lewandowski and Co. Yusef's skepticism predicted a 5-1 loss, while Adam's false hope predicted a 3-2 loss. Despite the ill faith, Barca failed to put one in the back of the net at home and allowed 3 goals. Barca's first quarter performance was impressive, with good ball movement, possession, and open space. This all changed when Muller scored off a deflection of Eric Garcia, leaving Ter Stegen helpless. The rest of the game is slowly turned downwards as Koeman's Barca seemed to have little tactical planning to deal with Bayern in an effective way. This comes from a failure of slowness and a lack of creativity from Roberto and Luuk De Jong. While the score line was not flattering, some stand out performances from Ter Stegen, Araujo, and Frenkie De Jong were only visible on the pitch. Along those lines, Coutinho appeared in his first game back after a long injury and loan to show he was still capable of taking chances. It was nice to see some youngsters (Gavi, Demir, Balde) and get some play time for the future of Barca. Ultimately, we question what could have happened if we had a healthy squad with the likes of Dembele, Fati, Depay (and Aguero) in the front. Even if we had these star players to bolster our attacking potential, would Koeman have been tactical enough to utilize these players to their full potential in the barca style? This is a question we can track as the season continues and our squad reaches a healthier status. Please like, comment and subscribe to our channel! Barca International News: Alba/Dest Injuries, Depay Hat Trick, Pique on Bartomeu Bayern Munich Next!

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 9, 2021 9:59

The BarcaBreakdown discuss the injuries to Sergino Dest and Jordi Alba on international duty, Memphis Depay's Hat Trick for the Netherlands, and Gerard Pique speaking out against Bartomeu. International break has been a plague for FC Barcelona recently. During this break, it seems Sergino Dest and Jordi Alba have both sustained injuries on their national teams. These injuries could not have come at a worst time. Barcelona already has a decent list of injured players (namely Fati, Dembele, Aguero, and Pique) who will not be ready for the HUGE game against Bayern Munich. This is the first game of the Champions League Group Stages. We all know what occurred last we met Bayern (8-2). Barca generally have trouble with providing width for the team but with both wings injured we may have to rely on the likes of Roberto, Mingueza, and Balde. This will affect us on the defensive and offensive side leaving us susceptible to attacks and a lack of open play. Hopefully Koeman can create a game plan to accommodate our deficiencies and accordingly. In other International news, Memphis Depay has scored his first hattrick for the Netherlands international team. The newly acquired Dutchman has shown extraordinary promise at Barca during preseason and the beginning of this season. Barca need a player of his caliber and scoring ability to keep them in the race for La Liga and in the long shot for Champions League. Lastly, Pique (the voice of the people) has come out and expressed his distaste for our previous President, Bartomeu. Pique has stated he has not known all the presidents of Barca, but he must be the worst or at the very least, up there. This scrutiny comes after many senior players on Barca have taken pay cuts and many players (Messi and Greizmann included) have left Barca to adjust for the financial difficulties the club has been facing. Rightfully so, Bart has been criticized for his absurd contracts and mismanagement of the team. Please like, comment and subscribe to our channel! Leo Messi is LEAVING FC Barcelona! Laporta Promise NOT Kept. La Liga Power Play? Messi-Neymar Again?

Barca Breakdown (FC Barcelona)

The BarcaBreakdown discuss the GINORMOUS news that FC Barcelona have confirmed Messi WILL NOT sign for Barca next season. After all signs, and words from Laporta, had pointed to a Messi renewal, the wage restrictions from La Liga apparently/allegedly mean Messi cannot sign for Barca and he may go to PSG or Manchester City! The day began with a normal meeting between Jorge Messi and the FC Barcelona Board/Laporta, where Barca and Messi were supposed to finalize the deal and announce the renewal press conference. All was in order to get Messi's renewal signed and to have Messi announced as the Captain of Barca for the Joan Gamper game against Juventus (and Cristiano Ronaldo). Then MARCA came with the big report that Barca was apart from Messi renewing. The new CVC Capital Partner purchase of 10% of La Liga was at odds with Barca and Real Madrid's desires. And suddenly, the BOMBAZO as FC Barcelona's official Twitter/Facebook accounts sent out the official statement that Messi would not sign. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Laporta told Jorge Messi the club cannot afford Messi due to La Liga/Tebas's restrictions. However, some people (including us) believe this is a power play by FC Barcelona to have La Liga loosen the restrictions. As ESPN's new TV Rights deal for La Liga just passed, not having Messi in the league will certainly diminish the worth of La Liga and other clubs in the league. If the news is true, and no bigger play is going on here, Messi will likely end up at PSG with Neymar and Mbappe. Or, Messi may end up with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. However, this does leave the question of what will happen with Barca signings like Depay, Griezmann, Aguero etc. Please like, comment and subscribe to our channel! The BarcaBreakdown discuss two HUGE signings in the form of Sergio Aguero and Erica Garcia. Both come from Manchester City and promise great, free signings for the next few years. Aguero comes as a Manchester City Legend, who looks to be our new striker option up front in an area Barca really need help in. Eric Garcia, on the other hand, is a La Masia talent coming back to Barcelona at 20 years of age. While Aguero is a bit past his prime and looking to be an immediate impact signing, Eric Garcia may take a bit longer to gain more skills and experience to help bolster our defense. Garcia signs on for 5 years while Aguero signs on for 3. Both were presented at the Camp Nou and gave press conferences with Laporta in the past two days. A larger appreciation of Aguero is certainly due after the season but the discussion preceding and following his play focuses on the team's performances vs. Brighton and Everton as Pep Guardiola prepares the squad for the biggest game in the club's history this weekend. We analyze Joao Cancelo's red card and if that sending off is the primary thing to pinpoint for the loss at Brighton or if something more sinister is at work before moving on to the wonderful display against Everton that undoubtedly soothed any concerns the prior match could have caused. The BarcaBreakdown discuss the snoozefest 0-1 victory against Eibar, as Griezmann scores perhaps his last goal for Barca in what could be Koeman's last game. The second half looked better as Riqui Puig and Jordi Alba came on, changing Barcelona to a 4-3-3.   A lot of questions remain over this team, as Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay look to be on their way to Barca! We discuss the most important needs to get a striker (to start while Aguero is on the bench), a new central defensive midfielder, and a center back to help partner with Araujo for next season. In Laporta we trust! He has led Barca to a golden age before and we hope to see similar success now. Koeman's job is definitely in the air, though because of a lack of top tier coaches we believe he may have 1 more season to choose his transfers and prove his worth as a coach.   Twitter: https://twitter.com/BarcaBreakdown Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/barcabreakdown   Listen to our podcast on Spotify or Apple/Itunes Podcast. The BarcaBreakdown Weekly #3 discusses Laporta's New Cycle, as he claimed FC Barcelona will clear out players such as Coutinho, Umtiti, Matheus, Firpo, and more will leave as Barca seem primed to bring on Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay. We also discuss how Barca will look to get Halaand in the off season of 2023, as Marc Andre Ter Stegen goes through surgery and questions begin to come about whether Xavi will replace Koeman next season.   The biggest news may be that Sergi Roberto, Pique, Busquets, and Griezmann are now on the list of players who will need to take a pay cut or leave next season. Though they are club legend, we believe Koeman is in the right to look forward to Barca entering a new era with new players to capitalize on Leo Messi's final years as a Barca player.   Twitter: https://twitter.com/BarcaBreakdown Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/barcabreakdown Listen to our podcast on Spotify or Apple/Itunes Podcast. We're back! Chelsea are in a Champions League final, Pep Guardiola picked a normal team for a Champions League knockout game, and Liverpool even won a game at Anfield. What a few weeks it's been! We start by chatting about Chelsea's performance over two legs vs Real Madrid, as well as their win in that (sort of) preview of the Champions League final over the weekend vs Man City. Chelsea have temporarily stopped City from claiming the title but are they the team to stop them finally claiming the Champions League too? We've got a lot of praise for Edouard Mendy, Antonio Rudiger, N'Golo Kante, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Timo Werner for their showings against Real Madrid, as well as Thomas Tuchel and Pep Guardiola's respective semi final tactics. Let's see if the final is in Istanbul or London next. We also delve into Liverpool's win vs Southampton, their surprising run of form, Thiago Alcantara's goal, and what the Reds' top four chances really are. And there's also previews of Manchester United vs Liverpool and Chelsea vs Arsenal, our thoughts on the protests at Old Trafford, Leicester's form, Steve Bruce actually picking his best players, Sam Allardyce finally getting relegated, and (of course) we give the people what they want with Rebecca's unabridged thoughts on Jose Mourinho's move to Roma. Plus, MAJOR Line of Duty spoilers, Pep the Alchemist, Chelsea's Captain Marvel, Neymar vs Hazard, Aguero's apology, referee bias, new football stat ideas, Pot Noodle levels, rats in the kitchen, gravy hogging, big German sausage, Drizella & Cinderella, and "Francais pizzazz".
