She recounts her experiences growing up in a community that valued food as medicine and how this shaped her approach to health. Tiffany also highlights the emotional aspects of eating and how fasting has helped her establish healthier boundaries with food. She shares her active lifestyle, including hiking and daily exercise, and the benefits of metabolic flexibility gained through fasting.Takeaways:• Clean fasting can significantly improve energy levels.• Transformative health changes can happen at any age.• Personal struggles with health can lead to profound insights.• The journey to better health often starts with small changes.• Feeling amazing is possible after years of struggle. The episode concludes with Tiffany's advice for those new to intermittent fasting: be patient, focus on health beyond weight loss, and embrace the journey of self-discovery and wellness.Join Gin in the new Fast Feast Repeat app for The Grown-Up Year: 52 Weeks to Listen, Play, and Nourish, as well as a growing collection of intermittent fasting resources. Every time one of the big clubs show up on this humble podcast, the audience is a little larger - and maybe I should do more on the likes of Bayern or Liverpool. But I always shirk back a bit. Too mainstream, I think. And if you like Liverpool, wouldn't you have found another, more professional media outlet already? If that is you, I think you need to buy this book. And, first, hear about it: Alan McDougall has written what the subtitle says is a peoples' history of Liverpool F.C. I would say it's a global people's history. Published by Cambridge University Press, the book is very readable and accessible, but with high scholarly standards. Not a straight up club history, always with an eye on culture, society and football more broadly, but never far from the club the author has grown up to love. It's a story of deindustrialization, migration, the tragedies of Heysel and Hillsborough, and Bill Shankly and Jürgen Klopp. Alan McDougall is a professor of history at the University of Guelph in Canada, and he has been on before to talk about his fabulous older book The People's Game about soccer in Eastern Germany. For this one, he has returned to his football home, and done what not many club histories do: a book you'll enjoy reading, following its connections and learning about its world even if you don't support Liverpool.HELPFUL LINKS FOR THIS EPISODE:Alan McDougall, professional pageDreams and Songs to Sing, book websiteHillsborough Law campaignHeysel Stadium catastrophe, TV footage (warning, graphic imagery)NEW: send me a text message! Rio comes in HOT after another statement victory for Manchester United, following up a win over Manchester City with victory at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal. With a huge improvement in form and positivity around the club since sacking Ruben Amorim, the conversation quickly turns to why Michael Carrick should not be judged through the same lens as Ole Gunnar Solskjær.From Arsenal supporters' growing tension to Arteta's obsession with control, the lack of freedom for Bukayo Saka and whether this really is a “now or never” moment — this episode pulls no punches on the Gunner's race for the title.Rio compares Arteta's Arsenal to Klopp's Liverpool and Mourinho's Chelsea, arguing this isn't about tactics — it's about personality, leadership, and dressing-room energy. He then focuses on why Saka, in particular, needs reminding of the basics — discussing the need for freedom over fear. There's also a comparison to what Ruben Amorim did with the same players which contrasts with how Michael Carrick is getting them to perform - Ste and Rio come up with and investigate those differences - paying particular attention to Patrick Dorgu, Kobbie Mainoo and Diogo Dalot Hosted on Acast. Robert Lewandowski is one of the most consistent goal scorers of his generation, a player who has stayed at the very top of world football not just through talent, but through mindset. In this episode, Robert sits down with Jake and Damian to explain why he believes mentality counts for more than physical ability, and how players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have sustained excellence for so long. From losing his father to being released early on, he describes the moments that forced him to build self-belief, resilience, and an uncompromising work ethic. He also talks about adapting as football evolves, learning from different cultures at Bayern Munich and Barcelona, and why even the modern elite, players like Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, can't escape the need for constant growth.Lewandowski explains why he avoids social media, how online judgement impacts younger players, and why protecting mental health is his personal “golden rule.” Drawing on lessons from managers like Jürgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, and Hansi Flick, he shares the core values that have shaped his career: honesty, hard work, and never giving up.This is a rare insight into what it really takes to perform, adapt, and endure at the highest level, without losing yourself along the way.

The Diary of a CEO's Director of Trailers, Anthony Smith, on capturing attention in the first few seconds, building cliffhangers and emotional momentum that keep audiences watching (or reading), and testing hooks and packaging without losing trust or story. You'll learn:Why you only have 3–5 seconds to earn attention, and what that changes about your opening lines and first scenes. How to take the guesswork out of hooks by testing titles and thumbnails to see what audiences actually care about.Ways to pull a more compelling later moment forward and work in reverse when the early material is setup. What makes a cliffhanger work across books and videos, and how to raise the stakes so people feel “gutted” not knowing the answer. How to build an “emotional rollercoaster” so the narrative never flatlines. Why sound and silence can help storytelling work, creating intensity and then giving the audience space to breathe. How to balance intrigue with respect for your audience by offering a “moment of value” instead of holding everything back. Why giving away too much can kill curiosity, and how to protect the reason someone keeps reading or watching.Resources and Links:

The AnfieldIndex USA era kicks off in heartfelt, chaotic and wonderfully honest fashion as new host Ross Carper steps up to the mic for the very first time. In this opening episode, Ross introduces his journey into Liverpool fandom, his mission to build a thriving American Reds community, and the origins of the Stateside Scouser show. From watching matches at dawn on the US West Coast to creating a local supporters' hub in Spokane, he shares the relatable, often hilarious reality of being a relatively new Red trying to immerse himself in the club's history and culture. Ross reflects on the emotional turbulence of Liverpool's season, the tragedy that shook the club in the summer, and standout moments featuring Conor Bradley, Dominik Szoboszlai and Florian Wirtz. He also launches his recurring segment “American Idiot”, where he invites listeners to educate him on parts of the global game that still baffle him, beginning with the mystery of why missing pre-season seems to break elite footballers. The episode closes with a look back at the rough pilot that inspired the relaunch, featuring Ross and close friend David debating fandom, choosing a club, Liverpool's history, Klopp's legacy, and what it means to truly commit to the Reds. A warm, funny and deeply personal opening chapter, perfect for American fans finding their way into Liverpool's world. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
