Last week was an emotional one. Sonny turned four, and I missed my dad so much. My grief washed over me, and I let myself cry for the first time in a while. Feeling everything was hard, however, I know it provided growth and realization that I can take with me into this week. I spent time reflecting and focused on the steps I needed to take to get to the next moment mindfully. As I did this, I thought about self-care related episodes I shared with you in the past. I thought it would be cool to do a "Best of WITH WHIT" featuring some of my favorite tips and conversations from three previous episodes. If you have heard them before, I hope they are good reminders! If you haven't, make sure to check out the full episodes. You'll hear from... • Staying Home With Whit | Rabbi Steve Leder on Finding Spirituality & Floating With Grief • Staying Home With Whit | Battling My Harshest Critic, Myself • How To Build Habits (AND Make Them Stick) With Dr. BJ Fogg This episode is brought to you by Elemis, the number one luxury British skincare brand that believes in “Truth in Beauty''. It's on days like these that I am so thankful for WITH WHIT. The day I interviewed Ryan Haddon, I was in such a slump. I felt this feeling of loss and sadness that I wasn't able to pick myself out of. Ryan helped me start to climb out of the hole I was in, and I left feeling much more relaxed and welcoming to what lay ahead. Ryan is a certified Life and Spiritual coach, clinical Hypnotherapist, and certified meditation teacher with over 16 years of experience with clients around the world. We talked about the benefits of making a menu of what fills you up, not trusting all of our thoughts, and that by discovering our values and beliefs we can counter the concern of what other people think and so much more. Ryan is a sought-after public speaker for corporate retreats. Additionally, she does private workshops such as “Stepping Into Your Purpose,” “The Work/Life Balance,” and “Finding Your Center.” She's also the in-house Life Coach at Kourtney Kardashian's website Poosh, where she has written more than 50 mind/body/spirit articles.
