Are you someone who stresses out because of your rendering? In this Industry, there is a crucial mindset when it comes to rendering. Well... in this podcast I will change your mindset about rendering!
Don't forget to take breaks once in a while!
Enjoying the process and render is needed so you can understand the software itself. As a 3D Artist, you don't see your render as a project but as a masterpiece, you pay a lot of attention to it. You need to put in the effort or somebody else will get the job instead. The days where you're lazy are the days that matter the most. Either you lie to yourself and hold yourself back or be a champion.
“It's ok to say no.” What you want is Business not a job. Business is more of a regulation where you have your own timeline for each project and if the deadline comes the client has to come to you. What you want is to have a good step-by-step proven framework and workflow. Always remember your value!
The days where you're lazy are the days that matter the most. Either you lie to yourself and hold yourself back or be a champion. The people in this industry are very dedicated, to stay in the game we should do the same. Good luck!!
When I was a beginner I often missed out on the details and always tried to find the best photorealistic tutorial and chances are you won't get it. We need to ask the correct question or not you're going to get the wrong answers. What we should try to do is to get used to professional habits. These are all tips for the next 10 years of your career in ArchViz and I wish you the best of luck!!
When a new 3d artist joined my academy or my Facebook group they always ask me the same question as I did back then in 2008, “Sir how to create a Photorealistic rendering” then “Sir can I have your render settings, sir?” or “ what are your computer specs, sir?”. These questions are fine but do not expect people will reply to you. Trust me people will ignore this, and at the time I joined the biggest Indonesia Arch Viz forum, all I got were only 3 answers. Check this episode to figure it out.
In this industry, you can't be lazy or be impatient as I used to be especially shortcuts aren't welcomed. Details and attention are important to ensure your quality, while time is important for your rendering. And in this episode, I want to show you 3 things that you need to learn first in interior rendering.
In my early career, most of my projects are from CG Architect. CG Architect is a platform where we artists can meet with our potential customers, this was the only way I knew at that time to get a job. And here are three lesson you should learn as a new 3d artist.

Not about losing the client, but it's how they kept undervaluing us, and if I let them do this it would create a cycle of being underpaid. For quite a long time I didn't really understood what storytelling through architectural visualization image was. It was after I read this book called “All Marketer Tells a Story” by Seth Godin that I finally understood what it meant and changed the way I provide my services. I wish you guys the best of luck in the future.

Hey, Reinaldo here have you been using SketchUp consistently? Back when it was 2004 until 2008 where I started out working as an interior design. I have been using SketchUp for quite a long time as a Full-timer in the 3D industry. V-Ray is also available for SketchUp, but there's something wrong with it. The problem was that V-Ray for SketchUp at the time was built for 32-bit. This doesn't support my RAM power for more than 4 GB, this limitation shows lots of problems. Because of this, it forces me to use a different version of V-Ray 5 and I got comfortable with it. Funny enough recently V-Ray launched V-Ray 5. This new software was also launched along with SketchUp 5.0, this made me mad. I got comfortable with another platform and now SketchUp 5.0 is better and they have a new feature. This feature can create a real-time presentation with just a press of a button. This feature is named V-Ray Vision and this makes me really jealous. I solely hate V-ray for SketchUp because of this. So if you are planning to use V-Ray for SketchUp or you have been using it for a long time. I definitely recommend you to use this software with its real-time presentation feature which will tremendously help you with a press of a button. Now go ahead and use V-Ray for SketchUp, and best of luck!!
Back in 2004, a fire started in my family's factory. It burnt everything and even left us in debt for 100.000 USD. After the fire, we all have to move on from the past. I established my design and built the company. Things didn't go well since I got no job or projects to do, why you might be asking? It is because at that time I believed in the quote “Good things will come to those who wait”. Well, like what the quote says I waited. This is where things went wrong it's because even if I waited good things won't come because people didn't know me. I did nothing about the market, I didn't introduce myself to the market. At this point, my eyes were opened and I realize that I interpreted the quote in the wrong way, I took it too literally. Then I realize that this quote is a good quote as long as you interpret it in the right way, effort is always needed the more accurate quote should be “Good things will come to those who put in the effort”. I started taking actions such as introducing myself to the market, doing small exhibitions, and from the exhibitions, I started building relations. Finally, the path is starting to open, it gave me more jobs and projects. This quote is very much like planting plants. Good things will come to those who wait AND give effort. A quick example is planting radish, you need to prepare good soil, fertilize them, and regularly water them. After that effort and preparations that is where the “Good things” will come. Even while waiting you still need to water them daily, watering is like practicing. In our industry, we need to practice because practice makes a permanent impact and improvement so that in every project you get better. That is all I have to share with you, I wish you all fellow artists good luck!
Have you been struggling to get your desired render quality? Back in 2008, I used to struggle as well in terms of quality. But the one to blame is not the engine but us. The engine itself only calculates the GI and the lighting as well, it also provides materials and tools. With detailed planning before using V-Ray will help you. So these are my 5 quick tips to prepare your 3d model ready for V-Ray SketchUp and best of luck!! Enjoy our article? Don't allow the chances you didn't take to be the biggest regrets in your life. We all have dreams. The question is, when is it ever the right time to start? I started my career in 2008, and I got my first award from CG architect's weekly award in 2011. That award was the spark that I needed to start my career in the international market. I would not be where I am today had I not gone through struggles in the past. Always remember to take action in spite of fear because fear is temporary and regret is forever. Start taking action today so you can be a step closer to your dream tomorrow. And here is the roadmap that I want to share - so you can use build your own Personal Brand as 3D Artist or even Studio. Have you ever had a moment where your image kept on failing? Well, today I want to share with you why so. Two years ago I was an ambitious man, I felt confident, and I felt that I could nail this image without any form of help. And as a result, I bombed out, the client hated it and I was panicking. That became one of my biggest mistakes and the feeling of overconfidence held me back because of how reckless I was. As a result what I imagined and what I thought about was completely different. It's fine to be confident, but keep in mind what the client asks you to use such as the resources that they provide so you can make the photo that they want. So here are 3 things that I want to share - that you can use to get your daily inspiration. Enjoy!!!
Hey, Reinaldo here, and this time I'll be sharing a few tips on how to become a professional 3D artist. In the early stages of my career back in 2008, I struggled for 2 years trying to figure things out on my own. I was on the edge and almost quitted, but fortunately, I gave myself a last chance to be in this industry. I started by making relationships with lots of professional 3D artists, which in return gets me lots of advice from them. I didn't ask for the techniques, but instead, they taught me that there are no special techniques. Everything is done through a process, a journey to make images. A few things I found that they have in common with Simon Sinek's “Start With Why The Golden Circle” is that you need to know the reason, the “why” that's keeping you going and fighting in this industry. So these are 3 things that I learned from those 3D artists professionals. Enjoy!!!
Hey guys! In our 1st podcast, we will reveal our CO-Founder story once he begins to start his career in this ArchViz Industry. And also he will share all of the mindset that Professional 3D Artist should have to be successful in this industry. Stay tune!
