This episode is INSPIRING! We had so much fun hosting YouTube star, and badass businesswoman Fiona Frills, on the show! Although Fiona is uber-successful now (her makeup line is in 400+ Walmart stores nationwide and she has a FIRE YT channel with over a million subscribers!) she had to overcome some serious *ish to get there, from bullying, learning disabilities, finding out she was legally blind and all sorts of other setbacks in her short 18 years on this planet! We love this episode because Fiona really embodies this idea of being able to find her CHILL despite all her struggles. No matter what she always kept going and advocating for her dreams. Hopefully, this inspires y'all to keep working at becoming the best version of yourselves, we know it inspired us! Chase your dreams despite the odds, you got this, we believe in you too Chill Fam :)
Join Cali as she sits down with Brocolli Guy, the man who has taken to the sporting world to spread kindness by…dancing with broccoli! This is the last podcast in Season 2 Fam and what a wake-up call it is! As much as we don't want to bring up the sh*t show that was 2020 again, it did show us a lot… and if we were lucky enough to come out of it on another side, we have a second shot at living the life we really want to live.So the last episode in this season is dedicated with as much gusto and positivity to show us how to make the absolute most of everything coming out of ‘the great pause'. Not forgetting that as we go to press play - we are fully in control of how we dial up all the positive things we want to continue, start all the new things we've put off (and most importantly!) stop the same old things in our lives that we REALLY don't really wanna do anymore!Leaving this season with a positive mission for us all to live by just makes us feel so great. See ya on the other side of the pause button Fam.
Tune in as resident co-host Will argues there is NO CHILL IN MONEY! Nope. Not one iota. For Will, money creates this constant “WooHoo Money Freakout Cycle” that he just can't break free from…. but Cali on the other hand, while she knows money can be a serious topic, also knows we can all work to find some Chill on the topic. Especially if we can learn to create some separation and perspective on the baggage we may be carrying around the money in our lives! So roll up on this Practical Chill episode on how to do just that! Listen in for tips and tools to practice that will help to neutralize those “oh so juicy” financial ups and downs that we've all experienced at one time or another, and get ready to rethink the relationship we have with money in our lives.
Woowzers, it's true what they say Fam, “communication is key”! If we communicate from a place that's all angry or judgey we risk shutting down the other person completely, never coming out the other side of the situation. The truth is, we only win in the communication game when we are able to hear and receive our thoughts and the thoughts of the other person. It's the only way to move forward, to encourage change and figure things out.Fam, we are here to tell you that this week's episode of Chill Lifestyle is all about exactly this - how to uplevel your communication skills! We are about as direct as it gets when it comes to the importance of coming from a place of neutrality when we communicate with others. So let's stop throwing punches and trying to be right all the time, and find a little more compassion, happiness and resolve in our lives.
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is actually the thing we need to do the most! Especially when it comes to setting boundaries around something or… someone! Whether you're worrying about hurting someone's feelings or fear the uncertainty a new boundary might create in your life, chances are if things are getting noisy for you, you feel some emotional and mental distress around the situation, that feedback is telling you a disconnect is most definitely needed! But…easier said than done right? That's why this Chill Mindset Class is dedicated to helping you create the mental (and sometimes physical) boundaries needed to take a step back from all the noise and let your body go through life in this state of chill. A place where you can be empathetic to what you or other people in your life are going through, but not let it steal your energy and wellbeing.
It's about time we got down to some myth bustin' on Chill and what better topic than the biggie that is…meditation. Over at Chill, our main pet peeve is the myth that you have to practice meditation a perfect way or it won't “work.” WRONG! Pretty sure most of us have heard some (or all of these!) things about the ‘perfect' mediation before… “sit completely still for 45 mins,” “don't let your mind wander,” “you can't move an inch,” etc.. etc.. Nope, no way, not us... and it most definitely doesn't have to apply to you either. In this Chill Lifestyle episode, we are hardcore breaking down some of these myths and giving insight on how simple, personal and effective meditation can be for every single one of us, no matter how you practice it.
OK Chill Fam, now that we are in the swing of season 2 it's time to take a little peek behind the curtain and explore how we view our own self worth! Yup, elephant in the room step to the side please because this Practical Chill Chat addresses why we need to stop thinking that we aren't good enough… smart enough… pretty enough. Quite frankly… it's here to stomp out whatever self deprecating feelings weighing you down on the regular!Look, we know it's hard to break that cycle of ‘not feeling good enough'. Trust us though and take a little listen to how we handle these negative vibes… because putting in the work to change your mindset has to be wayyyy better than those sucky feelings of unworthiness that sit at the pit of your tummy.
This episode contains one of the most important lessons we can share with our Chill Fam - “How to develop perspective and regain control of our mindset”.You see, if we don't have perspective in life, it will make or break our ability to see things clearly! Instead, we may as well be strapped to the front of a car flying 70 miles per hour down the freeway, reacting in the moment to every little thing flying at our faces, bugs and all!!!This super important tool is dedicated to teaching you how to look at things from a distance, to put time and space between our thoughts and feelings, so we can learn to peel ourselves off the front of that fast and furious car and back behind the windshield of perspective! So hang around to learn how we can get a little distance - while gaining a little clarity and control in life.
Do you always make sure to charge your iPhone so you don't run out of battery life at any given moment? Why is it then that so many of us don't think that we need to power up our bodies the same way!? Or simply don't make time for that?In this practical chill chat, Cali and Will give us some honest and refreshing insight on how we might recharge our bodies to improve not just our physical wellness, but the relationships we cultivate around us.So find a little time to give this episode a listen and realize the joy in disconnecting… and then reconnecting to activities that help power up your life! :)
Let's talk about self-doubt. Self-doubt can have such a strong presence in our lives without us even realizing. Whether our self-doubt is a feeling, a thought process, or an automatic program we run on, we're pretty sure nothing good really comes out of self-doubt, so why does it become such a natural voice.. almost comforting? That new job promotion “I dont think I'm qualified enough,” or that girl you want to ask on a date “I'm out of her league!” Maybe it's kind of comfortable to limit the expectations we have of ourselves, at least that way we can avoid any potential disappointment right? But what about excitement, optimism and… potential? In this Practical Chill chat, Cali and Will sit down together to untangle the web of self-doubt that we unconsciously weave for ourselves. While some degree of self-doubt is normal (I mean we can't possibly think we know everything about everything!) The real problem arises when self-doubt subconsciously creeps in and takes over until we think persistent negative self-doubt is normal, and in some ways even 'comforting!' Tune in to hear what helpful tips and tricks to use to identify our own self-doubting voices and flip them on their head! When we untangle them one by one from our subconscious, we ultimately lead our lives from a place of excitement and optimism, rather than fear and self-sabotage.
If meditation is meant to reduce the stress in one's mind, then why is it so hard to sit down and meditate sometimes? If you have ever struggled to sit down and meditate, you're not alone. In this episode of A Little Bit of Chill, Cali and Will, two people who have ADHD,l share whatto do when we can't settle down enough to meditate. Many people may picture meditation to look a certain way, but the truth is that there is no wrong way to meditate. In this episode we learn that we have the power to create our own meditative spaces, tailored to exactly what we need to gain the clarity and mental declutterization that we need.Meditation is a learned practice. It takes time. And Practice! Speaking from experience, Cali and Will talk about the past struggles they've had with meditation and provide the listeners with the tools they used to overcome their struggles. Don't give up on meditating until you listen to this episode…

In this episode, Cali and Will break down the ruts we all experience and encourage us to take our first step forward.Sometimes we outgrow certain things in our lives. We outgrow information that previously worked for us, and we start seeing things we were once driven by and excited by as somewhat of a chore or a job. The thing is, this is a completely natural part of the human experience. Feeling stuck can make you feel helpless at times, but when you know the tools to get yourself out of these situations, then you'll learn how to get your groove back. You have to regain that sense of fun to light your creativity. How can you do that? In this episode, Will & Cali will teach you how to regain a sense of fun and wonder about the world.
Most of us consider adversity to be our worst enemy. However, as Cali and Will explain in Episode 12 when we grab ahold of opportunities for the right kind of adversities and use them to propel personal growth, it can be a game-changer. Overcoming challenges can be one of the most powerful ways to grow. Without overcoming obstacles, we are just going through the motions of life. Resolving problems teaches us that life changes can be used to be successful. It helps us break down old habits, and learn new, better ways of doing things. Personal development challenges are not something we should avoid. Instead, they are a gift! There is something powerful in creating new growth challenges to overcome. Learn how you can harness the power of adversity and turn it into opportunities in your life.
In this episode, Cali and Will delve into Productive Failure. We all know that failure can be productive. Countless self-help articles have told us that failure is an opportunity to learn. After all, the greatest innovators have all routinely experienced colossal failure. Failure is how innovators find their success! But, let's face it. At some level, we still dread failure. In fact, we loathe it. We believe that failure is not acceptable — at least not when it happens to us. We can and do acknowledge that failure is a good thing when it happens to our favorite movie character or inventor. We watch them learn from their struggles and become stronger. But still, we fear failure in our own life. We go to extreme lengths to avoid situations where we will not always come out on top. We let it control us. If failure does happen, we give it power over our emotions. Why?In this episode, learn why some of us have the belief that it's okay for others to fail but not us. Learn how to let go of the shame associated with failure and truly see it for what it is — an opportunity for growth. Cali and Will also share how Mindset Tools can help with this process.

We make efforts to nourish so many of the relationships in our lives, but what about the relationship we have with ourselves? Repairing your relationship with yourself is essential to sustaining growth. Find out how to let go of harsh self-criticism and replace it with neutrality and observation, even in the face of the guilt and shame you feel when you've made a mistake. Many of us have a mental vending machine of topics that drop anxiety on us daily. For some of us anxiety can be a compounding fear of things all going wrong. Are you ready to change your mindset on fear based thinking? We can start by changing the questions we are asking ourselves. Instead of asking fear based questions like, "How can things go wrong/fall apart/blow up?" We can begin by asking ourselves to start imagining future circumstances differently and asking "What if it all works out?" Start here.
Our final tool, and potentially the most game changing tool when it comes to creating the life you want
Learning the tool of neutrality can be ground breaking for our mental health. In this episode, we share the philosophy of how being neutral to the dramas around us allow us to take a step back, let go, and find our truth amidst the noise. We then walk you through a mindset hacking meditation to learn to practice this core tool.
When we are running our wellness vibe, we feel good, optimistic and abundant. Having a sense of optimism and abundance goes a long way toward telling our body that it is safe and can be in a state of rest and repair rather than fight or flight. When we are going through our day in wellness, people tend to notice. They tend to be attracted to the light if you will and they usually respond in kind. There is a noticeable reduction in daily friction.
When we are not aware of our own boundaries, we tend to forget where the line is between the end of our problems and the beginning of someone else's.Cali Chill, 2021When we are not exercising healthy boundaries, we have very little separation between us and the world around us. When we have a healthy set of boundaries we are able to truly be present for those we care about. We can see the challenges they are going through and not have to try to fix it. We can just listen to them, fully and deeply. We can ask questions to learn more. This is a stark contrast to diving deeply into their space and then pushing them to resolve it so we can feel well again.
Grounding is important to ensure clarity and that we're not swept up in the moment. We're grounded when we are feel relaxed, safe, and have a clear sense of direction.Additionally, grounding can help with our personal and professional relationships. For example, when we get caught up in a friend's story, we lose sight of being a good friend to them. We lose sight of how to listen without judgment. This can really damage our relationships.
It is easy to lose our sense of direction when we lose touch with the center of our being. This tool will help you get back to your center so you can see your life with enhanced calm and clarity.

In the middle of this adventure we call life, sometimes you need just A Little Bit Of Chill.”Cali Chill, Introduction 2021While we can't instantaneously change all of the variables in our life, we can change our relationship to them and how we let them affect us.
