Listeners of Around the NFL that love the show mention:The Around the NFL podcast is a long-standing favorite for football enthusiasts, offering entertaining and insightful discussions about the NFL. I have been a dedicated listener for over 10 years, drawn in by their unique voice and originality. The hosts, led by Dan Hanzus and including talented individuals like Marc Sessler and Gregg Rosenthal, have created a show that feels like having a conversation with friends at a table. They possess an impressive knowledge of the game, providing unbiased analysis and sharing personal anecdotes along the way.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to maintain its authenticity despite the changes it has gone through over the years. Losing Chris Wessling was undoubtedly difficult for both the hosts and listeners, as he was considered a North Star of the show. However, they have continued to deliver high-quality content with new regulars like Colleen Wolfe, Patrick Claybon, Nick Shook, and others. Their camaraderie shines through each episode, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of watching football with college buddies.
The podcast stands out from other sports shows due to its blend of humor and informative analysis. The hosts effortlessly mix banter and jokes with in-depth coverage of NFL news and game analyses. It keeps me engaged throughout each episode, making me laugh while still providing valuable insights into the sport I love. Additionally, their flagship Sunday night recap show is a must-listen as it beautifully encompasses everything you need to know about all the games.
However, there are some drawbacks to this podcast. One recurring issue is the volume levels being too low. It can be frustrating constantly adjusting the volume just to hear what they're saying. Additionally, some listeners have expressed annoyance with certain ads that interrupt the flow of the show.
In conclusion, The Around the NFL podcast remains one of my all-time favorites due to its combination of humor, analysis, and genuine camaraderie among the hosts. While it may have experienced changes over the years, it has never lost its originality and continues to provide a top-notch listening experience for football fans. Despite minor issues with volume levels and ads, I highly recommend this podcast to anyone seeking an entertaining and informative discussion about the NFL.
