In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Evan Barbee. Evan is a Certified Holistic Coach and a teacher of the Narrative Enneagram.   They Discuss: Evan discusses her childhood and how living with family that had different personalities made it more difficult, which led her to where she is today. There are nine different orientations to difficult moments, operating systems or coping strategies. When you better understand your habits, things get better. Coaching is, when you ask open ended questions, asking pointed questions, and to help people explore their own experiences. Enneagram is, when you help people understand their reflexes that they don’t not have a language for. When you explore the nine orientations of your personality profile, you can evolve and find your strengths to share with people. A program named, Wild Ones Academy helps women who have experienced violence with resources and ways to self-develop. When people are having a hard time in life, they tend to be more motivated to self-transform. We have a lot of things to learn from each other. We can do this by, not taking things so personally and understanding that their point of view can be of value. A book that Evan recommends to everyone is, The Essential Enneagram. Everyone is born with a temperament which is, when you have gut instincts, or feelings on different scenarios. Sometimes this is hard to define so we need to, take in to account information, organize it, and get a meaningful answer on how to handle it. After you learn to handle scenarios you need to consider different factors, variances and experiences for a good outcome. We use coping strategies on auto pilot to handle different situations. These are called our personality styles or patterns. You need to have a good “sales pitch” and a productive way to look at your life from a self-development standpoint. Evan describes a radiant life as, self-light and an unconditional friendship with oneself. You are 100% responsible for the life that you create for yourself. “The only moment that matters is the one that’s happening.” Focus on the life you are currently living with mental construct. Evan can be reached at evanbarbee.com or evan@evanbarbee.com

Be Radiant Radio Interview with Daniel Hull

In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Daniel Hull. Daniel is a spiritual mentor and guide.   They discuss: Daniel speaks how his purpose is, to travel around where romance is the goal and present messages that we receive in dreams and visions. People tend to have a hard time being humble. The most important and hardest thing to do, is be true to yourself and be the best human you possibly can. Life experiences and troubles often lead us to answers and when we have those answers we can see things clearer. You have to experience a spiritual journey to help you better understand how to be a good person. There needs to be a balance of feminine and masculine energy in the world to help keep peace and a balance. The imbalance in humanity can be seen and compared to imbalances in nature. If you want to look at your ego, humility is a good place to start. In this generation, there is a lot more imbalance of energies. People are more responsive to someone that is humble. Competition between others causes tension and imbalance in energy. In order to balance our energies, we need to bring spirituality into our lives. When we bring spirituality into our lives, it helps us live a more “radiant life.” Spirituality is based on the teachings of our people, honesty, truth, respect, community, humility, courage and love. You cannot have one of the seven teachings without the others. Always be the best human being you can be and love unconditionally no matter what. Be the best human you can be without letting anyone else project destructiveness on you and focus on yourself. Having no expectations on our relationships makes them go smoothly. Don’t put yourself “above” people, but “with” people. “Core courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes it’s just a quiet voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.” strongheartbear@gmail.com is where Daniel can be reached.

In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Janine Kathleen. Janine is a healer, psychic and a life strategist.   They discuss: In our lives we tend to get lost and not have a sense of direction, coaching helps us understand what we want to do in life. We often try to model ourselves on preconceived ideas on how we are supposed to be. We have to escape the boundaries and explore our uniqueness. People most commonly pattern other experiences but need to understand you don’t have to subscribe to that. We need to blend our masculine and feminine energy to activate the real, incredible role within ourselves. You have to align your inner power and energy systems. When you combine female and male perspectives, each person has a uniqueness they bring forward. When you work with empowerment, life flows with glory and ease. When you access the inner power system within you, you can achieve so much more. You won’t “burn out” and can accomplish so much more. Going with the flow and finding your inner power system is more successful then hustling in your business. If you have a fear of moving forward, you are just creating more fear. This keeps you from moving forward effectively and effortlessly. You have to face the challenges you are scared of in order to move on and be more productive. You have to first understand where you want to be in life and then face the challenges that are holding you back from getting there. Then you have to come up with steps to lead you in the right direction. Fear can be destructive on our self-healing and path in life. Nutrition of mind, body and soul help with your strategies to a better path in life. Get curious and then get creative with your strategies. The more space you allow to open, the more you get to fill it and create something better. You can reach Janine on Facebook, Instagram and her website janinekathleen.com

In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Kristen Dawson. Kristen is a speaker and coach.   They discuss: Kristen speaks about her weight loss journey and how it led her to realize her mental health was a set back in her life. With this experience it led her to coaching and speaking to help other people. Things we fight against the most, turn into our biggest advantage. Things you experience, you become grateful for. The truth to living a radiant life is, finding gratitude in dark spots and bumps in the road but overcoming them. Self-care is about giving yourself what you need. Being loving to yourself and understanding your feelings is important with self-care. Take judgement from yourself and give yourself grace. Having inner dialogue and being self-aware, lets you step back and make mindful choices for yourself. You need to accept things in your life and then be willing to make things different towards the right directions. You need to see things with logic and not let your emotions take over, this will lead to better choices and a better direction in life. Being mindful and having awareness is key. Acknowledging things happening in your life is what makes you aware and able to address them. Putting a guard up too fast can be counterproductive. A group in Calgary called manpower is, a group that helps people understand themselves and how to address into a positive direction in life. People tend to have a need for significance, whether that’s needing to feel important or to feel validated. This can lead to negative paths in life. Being authentic in what you do, is what helps bring you significance. You have to truly want to be of service and then you will be validated correctly. Integrity is what you do when no one is watching, no one is listening, and no one is aware of how you’re reacting, how you’re responding or what you’re choosing. Integrity is doing the right thing, no matter what the circumstances are. All of the choices you make have consequences. You can reach Kristen at Kristendawson.com

Be Radiant Radio Interview with Candice Baks-Friesen

In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Candice Baks-Friesen. She is a money and business coach from Winnipeg, Canada.   They discuss: Candice speaks about her career and how it led her to want to coach. She wanted to help people find the success that they need, overcome barriers and the fears that stop us from knowing what to do or say. Sometimes you have to go through something tragic and catastrophic, to have a wake-up call and figure out what you want to do in life. This in return promotes people to want to start their own businesses and paths. Sometimes just going with the motions of life when you’re unhappy becomes unfulfilling. Realizing this is a step towards a good path in life and where you want to be. We often use money to express or react to issues within our lives. How we treat money is often a reaction to something we dealt with growing up. Without realizing it, we tend to have feelings of fear or unworthiness with money. Whether that’s having not enough or the fear of losing it, when we do have it. We need to think about the possibilities in a positive way, not focus on the negatives. For example, with money we tend to go into survival mode when struggling, its hard to look into the future and to dream. Our plans in life aren’t a permanent thing. Sometimes we have to make hard decisions that are just only temporary. Everyone has to start at a baseline with money and build from there into more positive things. When you make tough decisions are realize they are only temporary, you tend to have better perspective on your life and the positive outcomes. Digestible goals are small near future goals that will turn into positive long-term goals. If you can get to a stable point by doing some digestible goals, you will have more success and be less stressed. You have to seek help and be willing to receive help, to take steps that are needed towards your success. Having prosperity consciousness versus desperation is important to being successful towards your goals. You must take small accountable steps towards your goals to stay on track by having support from family, friends or other guides. These people should be people you respect, admire and trust. Your struggles don’t have to define you. Give grace when you can. The highest highs are temporary and so are the lows. Be in competition with yourself, that will drive you to more success and to be better. You have to remind yourself, its okay to not be good at everything. Do not equate yourself with your self-worth. Surround yourself with people who are optimistic and positive.

Sarah speaks of her fibromyalgia, and how that had a big impact on her working. Sarah uses her life lessons and insights that she must inspire others. Sometimes you must avoid object fixation, focusing on one bad thing or thing that could go wrong and look at the path to the clearing, the path to get around the issues effectively. A perspective shift is when you begin to ask yourself, what would happen if or what would be the outcome and you’re able to the clearer path. Sarah speaks of her life and how she grew up in Englewood, New Jersey. Sarah tells how her massage therapy career is very rewarding. Massage therapy helps you relieve tension in your body, this can ultimately help you clear your mind and soul to have better insights on life. It helps you become more stable and connected feeling with your body. Apothecary is when you make your own body products. This includes using essential oils to make lip balms or lotions, etc. To have a radiant life, doesn’t mean its perfect all the time. You have to except the good and the bad.

In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Matt Belair. Matt is an athletic coach and speaker.   They discuss: Matt discusses doing yoga with monks and how that experience led him to research things around consciousness, peak performance, and joy in life as an athlete. You should travel and, pursue all your passions and interests. Even if everyone around you doesn’t support you or want to pursue their own passions, you should never let that hold you back. You will feel a lot of emotions, but it will all be worth it. Pursuing your passions is a layered process. It starts with emotions and then you peel back each layer, letting some things go along the way. Your conscious intentions are what disciplines your mind, body and spirit. This includes pushing your body to limits that people do not think are possible. You have to have self-discipline to reach your goals. It’s all about direction not the end result, it’s more about the process that gets you to your goal. Having a radiant life is not always what you think that you know, it’s the actual journey and process of that radiant life. Coaching helps people realize they can do anything that they put their mind, heart, soul and spirit into. Matt discusses that what inspires him is, making the world a better place. The ripple effect is very important when inspiring people. It’s when you inspire, help motivate and encourage people and its impactful on their life, so they share it. The best spiritual teaching was from a Native American elder, which is, do three kinds of acts a day, go out of your way to do it and don’t tell anyone. With meditation you can clear your mind and understand all the crazy things are minds do. The three acts of kindness are, no matter what you believe, no matter what you practice, and no matter what you do. Have kindness, compassion and happiness for yourself and spread it to others. Being connected to the community helps you and others spiritually. We are all hardwired for connection and sharing, and most times the most inspirational things and people are right in front of you. Adults today should take a lesson from children, be more caring, open to sharing, and enjoy life.

Meditating helps reduce stress, facilitate peace and improve your overall lifestyle. Learning to listen to your body is one of the most important things about your nutrition. In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Suzi Kerr Wright. Suzie is a leadership coach and a spiritual coach. She is an astrologer, psychic medium and a certified holistic life coach with radiant coaches.   They discuss: Suzi speaks of her mentorship program that includes a man named Tony Stockwell, who is a medium as well from the UK. “All mediums are psychic but not all psychics are mediums.” Suzi stated. There are ethical and moral boundaries, and they start with you. Suzi as a life coach, spends her time coaching other people who have discovered their gift on how to use it appropriately and help other people. To be of service to someone, you need to do the work first. You need to discover yourself on a deeper level. The more you teach, the more that you learn, the more that you learn, the more you can teach. Being authentic and your true self is what people need. People can sense when you aren’t being authentic and true to who you are. If you want to flow with things, you need to use the energy that is guiding you. You must put your time and effort into using energy with the planetary configurations that are happening. The host Misti Dian pulls a tarot card and receives guidance on reaching a goal she would like to reach. Her tarot card speaks, that there is a different a better path to reach her goal. The card also shows a well-grounded person, whether a business partner or someone else, will be helping her reach this goal. Misti will be, according to the tarot card, challenged and forced to rise above. The difference of a true medium ship is a total vibration. It’s energy that is pulling or a spirit guide saying to impart a message. With this medium ship they are being more intentional. “You can live everyday as if nothing is a miracle or if everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein. Living life as if it’s a miracle, will make you more positive and in return receive more miracles. With god on your side there is more miracles, and everything is in divine order. When you are depressed, you are living to far in the past. When you are anxious, you are living to far in the future. When you’re in the moment, in the present, that’s when the peace comes. So much of our time is wasted on trying to be something other than we are. We only get experience from learning lessons from our hardships.

In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Amanda North. Amanda is a certified relationship coach through Radiant Coaches Academy.   They Discuss: Amanda speaks how her life experience with a divorce brought her to get a major in communication and a minor in psychology. Amanda speaks about her journey through divorce and how it brings her to discover Tantra. She was able to learn about intimacy, relationships and her inner self, which she used to get back into dating. That experience brought her to want to help other people do the same. Intimacy is the most necessary part of a healthy relationship. Amanda speaks about how without it, it started her experience with divorce. In order to heal and understand intimacy, you must get comfortable with all the parts of yourself. Yoga can help you realize that there’s a whole world out there, that most don’t access. You can live life to the fullest despite fear if you still trust. With feminism and masculinity evolving, we can choose what path and kind of relationships we want to have in life. Women are evolving into more masculine roles, so they are choosing to have partners instead of needing them. A lot of men are now staying home with the kids while women are the breadwinners of the family. Roles in society are universal, still having feminism and masculinity but it not having to be defined for one gender. “We are now coming to this place where fully evolved women and fully evolved men, are not only aware that they both have to have their own balance of masculine a feminine energy, they are doing the work to make sure that they keep their energy in check” Amanda stated. In order to have good intimacy a woman needs to surrender and let a man support her emotionally. “It takes two to tango.” It takes both partners to support each other equally to get good intimacy. You need to have trust to have intimacy. You need to trust yourself fully and each other. Intimacy is a very vulnerable place; you need to trust yourself enough to be transparent. In order to have good intimacy, you must have a receiver and a giver so there’s a flow of energy. You can build your love and relationships on a blank canvas. “create a life you love, create a love that you love, and a love that loves you back” Coaching helps peel back layers of old condition patterns to find out who we are and what we want. “Another person’s past doesn’t belong in my present or future.” Living in the past traumas and experiences can affect your present and future. The power of moving and speaking with your bodies instead of being in your head is what makes for good intimacy. Using energy to express and exchange feelings or to talk is what helps most with finding intimacy.

In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks to Corine Sandifer. Corine is a business and life coach in the Nashville area. She helps business owners who are changing careers in transition, to find their next position. Corine also helps business owners spruce up their LinkedIn, she helps with negotiations and if they’re needing coaching and interviews. She also hosts a podcast called Rising Stories that can be found on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube.   They discuss: Corine speaks about her motive which is, empowering women. Corine speaks about how she is the regional leader of the Cheryl Foundation. This foundation is women who support each other, empower each other and fight gender and unconscious bias. Lean in circles are small impromptu meetings held, where businesswomen come to meet and empower each other. Powerful businesswomen should be given props. They deserve to get credit where credit is due and where they put their heart and soul into everything they do. It takes vulnerability to receive mentoring and being able to expand in your business as a growing businesswoman. Life coaching is about a career relationship and health. Those are the two most important things. It’s hard for women to pick themselves back up, especially as they get older so coaching them helps bring out greatness and empowers them to transition into a better career. The biggest fear a lot of women must transition is, the fear of the unknown. It’s also the fear of being able to live up to todays market. With a boost and empowerment women can see there’s nothing to fear and they can express their greatness and why it would be beneficial to hire them. Corine discusses how her professional life and personal life align and how it doesn’t sometimes. Having an impact and empowering women, even indirectly and directly are what aligns the two. She says being a workaholic is when they do not align. When you find what you are doing is who you are, then that is a magical sort of balance that happens in life. Corine speaks of her personal interests in movies, books and places to travel. Corine speaks about caretaking of your soul as a life couch. Its to help people, find a spiritual connection and stability with their highest self. She speaks about her self-practices, meditating and quieting her spirit and soul as a Christian. We are all connected by collective consciousness. This happens when you are in constant prayer and conversation. An example of this would be, when someone says they were just thinking about you or when someone says, “it’s funny that you called me.” etc. God is there to bear all your burdens that you share during devotion. The most important thing is to connect with each other and with god. Corine discusses her use of her devotional “Jesus Calling” everyday on her phone. She discusses how she loves to share scriptures with people that she feels are close connection and in circle with her, that it empowers them. Misti asks Celeen what her big long-term dream would be. For her personal dream, she would love to open a breakfast place to share her passion. For a professional dream, she would love to continue to build her business and sell it to someone who would continue to empower women in the Nashville area. Corine would love to take her vision and it become greater than her.

In this episode, host Misti Dian speaks with Jessie Trout. Jessie Trout is a professional life coach and works mainly with men. Jessie also does some speaking, as well as some facilitation and mentoring with college students.   They Discuss: Jessie brings his substance abuse recovery and life experiences to his coaching to better meet the needs of society at large. Men are viewed as having toxic behaviors, which need to be coached to repair and facilitate healing on those behaviors. We need to deprogram society on the views of men to help them learn, grow, heal and become more honest about toxic behaviors. Be honest with yourself that you make mistakes or that you have toxic behaviors so you can start self-healing. Feeling and understanding your emotions can help to better understand why you have these behaviors. When listening to someone venting about having these toxic behaviors, you should mirror back what they are saying and show you are truly listening to them. Acknowledging you are afraid because you have these toxic behaviors is okay. In order to grow you need to know that its okay to be afraid of how to deal with them. People, especially females have a hard time supporting men on these toxic behaviors. Men need someone to love them unconditionally and give them great support no matter what they do. There’s a stereotype that men feel they need to follow in order to show they are masculine, but then society makes them contradict themselves. Society tells them “be a man” and then “don’t be such a man”, so in return they end up getting confused and do more toxic behaviors. Courage and honesty are key to facing your fears that you have these behaviors and the first step to getting support for them.

Megan always wanted to study how people interact and communicate with each other, so she received a master’s degree but decided teaching was her calling. A lot of times it’s a common thread for people to get stuck as entrepreneurs. They need guidance to focus on themselves, to have self-care. It is very common for people to have an issue having tough conversations. Understanding the humanity in other people is very important with communication. Sometimes we get caught up with our own feelings a judgement and that hurts our communication. Your perception is not always the truth, it’s just your perception. We all are different, come from different places, and have our own biases. When you understand this, you have more compassion. The point of communication isn’t so someone will agree with you. As a leader, it is sometimes hard to get someone to understand their perceptions. Reacting and behaving out of fear does not get you your own way. Self-awareness is very important with your communication. There are many paths to get to the end, we just must recognize where we are at and deal with learning and discovering things we need to discover. Megan speaks about her band that plays synth pop and electro music, a unique sound. She speaks how it is her cathartic outlet. Breaking through your mold and letting your light shine through, despite your fear is your greatest achievements. Being your authentic self and working on progress not perfection is very important for your communication. Public speaking helps you overcome your nervousness and fear so you can become your true self with communication. People relate to you more if you are your true self. We tend to critique ourselves more then anyone else. We need to all help each other reach our full potential and we all need to help lift each other up.
