We make it our goal to provide biblically rooted, Gospel-oriented messages that make contact with the 'rag and bone shop of the heart' (Yeats). It is also our attempt to proclaim God's two 'words' from Scripture -- the first 'word' is Law (which unveils to us God's glittering righteousness and dist…
The Grace Anglican Church podcast has been a lifeline for my family during these trying times of COVID-19. With several family members facing serious medical issues, we have had to strictly quarantine ourselves, and as a result, have deeply missed attending church. However, thanks to this podcast, we have been able to hear the word of God preached in such a profound and impactful way. Ethan Magness, the Rector of Grace Anglican Church, is truly a modern-day St. Paul in my opinion. His ability to communicate the depth and significance of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection is unparalleled.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the ability of both Ethan Magness and Eric Rhodes (who also occasionally preaches) to connect with listeners on multiple levels. Their sermons are not only uplifting but also educational. Each sermon is centered on the grace of Jesus Christ and rooted in the Word of God. They have a knack for making complex theological concepts relatable without resorting to pop culture references or personal anecdotes. The preaching is both intellectually compelling and existentially gripping, bringing about an encounter with Christ in every message.
If I were to nitpick, one aspect that may not appeal to everyone is the occasional use of B-list television references and rock and roll within their sermons. While some may find it enjoyable and relatable, others may prefer a more traditional approach without these elements.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend The Grace Anglican Church podcast enough. It has breathed life into me and my wife during these difficult times when we have been unable to attend church physically. Each sermon from Ethan Magness and Eric Rhodes has made a lasting impact on our lives, providing us with deep understanding and appreciation for the grace of God. If you are looking for clear Gospel-centered teaching that brings hope in the midst of trials, this podcast is truly a gem worth listening to regularly.
