Each week comedians Jenny Questell and Martin Phillips debate whether a film should be considered a romance or not. Some movies will be traditional while others will come out of left field. Listen and decide for yourself.
Oh man, we're back, with a movie about two coworkers that hate each other, but actually just want to bang each other. Go figure. There's a lot more going on with them too. Again, go figure. You may hate this movie, but you won't hate this episode!!
That's right, it's our 100th episode!! In honor of it we did a movie that's 100 years old! Charlie Chaplin's classic, The Gold Rush! It's not bad. We probably went way off topic, but had fun. Here's. to 100 more!
Here's an 80s classic from down under and it's actually kinda dull...like really dull...boring. There wasn't much going on in film in 1986. Decide for yourself, decide with us. He's no crocodile hunter!
In this episode a boss girl lets loose...and it gets a little weird. What else do you think would happen if your husband of 25 years has never mad you orgasm? A lot is going on. Review with us, baby...girl.
This movie was controversial for many reasons, but should just be for being not good! The best is it ends. Be the judge for yourself. A lot of off topic talk, but it's fun! A good listen.
We're back with the newest best picture winner, Anora. It's about a stripper and the Russian mob, it gets wild! Comedian Kylie Troop joins as we discuss if this love was real...it was definitely stressful.
This episode is crazy because this movie is crazy! It's also kinda funny and deep, man. It's a lot which works great with us. Watch and you'll understand. This pod has substance already, we're just adding more.
Join us for a Hugh Grant classic. Did a famous person fall for a regular more than average Joe Schmou? You decide. It's a good time and we all love Hugh and Julia!
In this movie age doesn't matter, people date whoever, it's all chill. In reality, it'd be weird. We are also pretty chill in this ep. Listen when you can .
We said we'd do it and we did, Conclave; Mean Girls for Catholics! A new Pope needs to be elected and there's a lot more drama than you'd think! Great movie. We had a great time. God bless.
Christmas isn't quite over yet, especially when it comes to the new Lindsay Lohan Netflix movie! Our good friend/comic, Caitlin McDevitt joins us. There's a lot of hot takes, but is it a secret if this movie is good or bad, listen and decide!
It's the movie sweeping the nation, we held space for it. On this ep is our old friend Jamal Russell and comic/Wicked expert Jack Coleman. It was fun, we defied many things, but especially gravity! Listen when you can!
What if Frosty the Snowman was hot? That's the premise of the movie.. .it's okay...is he hot? Depends on who you ask. Get toasty with this winter ep!
Back this holiday with an 80s classic, St. Elmo's Fire, set in DC! It's about the most toxic friends group you know. It may not age the best, but it was fun. Give it a listen.
We're back with movie that combines everyone's favorite topics, game shows and serial killers. With guest Patty we go over Woman of the Hour. Also, we recorded before the election was over...
In our Halloween episode, Jenny is sick, so we have guest hosts, comedian Winston Hodges and comedian/vampire expert Sandi Benton, as we discuss the vampire stand up comedy film Don't Suck starring Matt Rife. It's probably as good as you'd think it would be. The episode is fun, listen it to, and don't suck!
Not the most tennis is going on right now, but we got the sexiest tennis movie of them all! There's more going in the film too! Our guest is comedian Jack Schwartz who looks like the star of the movie. It's like Mike Faust, but better! Listen when you can
What if all the world's problems could be solved by everyone being hot? This film explored that idea. Based on the preteen girl book series, Jenny and Martin, welcome on comic Matilda Epstein, to discuss and she gives her own presentation. It's a good time. Listen, no matter how you look!
Oh yeah, it's the perfect ep for Martin! This is for all you Gos-heads. Ryan's silent, kinda awkward role, it's bad ass. Listen when you can...maybe when you drive!
Anne Hathaway summer comes to a close with her Batman movie. What a better way to do it? It's fun, you can listen or not, take control!
Taking a little break from Anne Hathaway summer, in this ep Jenny and Martin and guest, comedian, Sandi Benton, discuss the movie and the musical, Moulin Rouge, and trash Martin! It's a perfect episode
Anne Hathaway summer is still happening. This ep we cover her breakout role when she became princess of a country that is 2 miles long...but it still counts! Join us and feel like royalty, like you are.
Anne Hathaway summer continues with another Anne classic! A movie about the worst job experience of your life. Should jobs be this way? Does it make you better? Or is it all bs? Listen and decide!
This is a movie about a woman in her 40s dating a younger guy who's famous in a boy band. It's every middle aged housewives' dream. It's too bad of a flick and we had an expert on the movie appear in the ep! Listen, just don't have the idea of listening!
It's a 90s classic, all about camp and the love for camp. It's a great throwback to check out! Just in time for summer, love who you are, and watch Heavyweights with us! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message

It's not the best love story, everyone kinda sucks, especially the kid for what he did to his dog! Did this woman kill her husband? Is the Caribbean instrumental cover of P.I.M.P. better than the original? Is the pacing too long? Figure it out with the pod! Listen when you can! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message

It's an awkward vibe, isn't that what camp is, if you went to this type of camp this episode might be triggering. The movie is really funny though...and you get see Martin's ass! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message

It was fun to discuss though. Listen and don't forget the day is coming up! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message

This is the best ep there is in any galaxy! Listen when you can. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
In 1994 the best version of the classic, Little Women, was released and all other versions after are subpar. You heard us, Greta Gerwig! Who's team on you on Team Jo? Team Amy? Team Mary? Beth? Susan Sarandon? It's a great time and we all love it. Big, little, no matter your size, listen!! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
It's Christmas! Merry Christmas! You haven't missed it! It's not too late! Jamal Russell is back. Last time with him, Jenny and Martin reviewed The Best Man, now with the season, they did The Best Man Holiday (duh!)! Not as good as the first one, a little sadder, but Jamal and everyone still had fun! Listen when you can. Have a happy holiday of your own. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
It's Christmas time, so we had to do a Hallmark Christmas movie. This year it was An Unexpected Christmas, which actually has a pretty good score for a Hallmark movie; it's the higher-end of the brand. A guy and his ex are both ironically at the same train station and run into his family and the fam thinks they're still together, so the exes just go with it to avoid feeling awkward. It really doesn't have to be a movie, the guy is just insecure, he didn't have to lie about anything, no one would care. We have a fun time. Listen when you can. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
Thanksgiving just ended. Hope yours went well. To close out the holiday here's a movie that's not well, or good, Friendsgiving. It's very bad. Jenny just chose for the name. It's terrible, we make do, talk about it and Thanksgiving stuff. It is a good listen though! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
It's episode, you've all been waiting for, we had the experience, hopefully you did too. The ep is kinda all over the place, what do you expect? You knows this all too well. Swiftie or not, listen and enjoy! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
You know the name, say it as much as you want, it's a great movie!! Jenny and Martin do actually go over the film pretty strictly, but had Taylor Swift talk for like 20 minutes! It's a fun time, be sure to listen. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
Producer Graham is gone, Martin is sick, Jenny is just here, the gang makes due and covers Ghost. A classic! You know the pottery scene. Review it with us and find out how sick Martin really is. If you love this ep then ditto. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
Are you there God? Are you a listener? It's us, Martin and Jenny! This ep is on a movie Jenny watched on an airplane and then enjoyed it so much watched again, not on an airplane. Martin didn't watch it on an airplane and felt weird watching it in general. This is really is for our preteen girl fans or fans who grew up in the 70s. A lot is going on, it's not a bad movie, it's a classic story! It's about growing up, relive puberty, this episode won't be as bad though! Listen when you can! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
It's been awhile, but we are back with the biggest movie of the summer, Barbie! Is it overrated, rated, just right, Jenny and Martin answer it all! Plus, find out if Martin made it to Austin! We're back and off topic, as always, while living in a Barbie world. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
This is a very niche episode, but we talked about seeing it and doing an episode and here it is, back in theaters for the 25th anniversary, the famous 1998 West End Oklahoma production starring Hugh Jackman. It was before he was a household name. The version is very good, you can probably find these somehow on PBS. Listen and have a beautiful morning with us! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
It's not Rex Manning Day, we're a little late, but never too late to watch this film with guest, Noah Crowley! Relive the '90s and it's music, while Martin has a mental breakdown! Fun, good times, listen when you can! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
This episode is kinda a mix of The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under; Jenny and Martin both like the movies and decided just to do an episode about it! Bernard and Bianca love each other. She made his career! The episode does go off topic, but it comes back! It's a good time! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
We're back with a new ep, being big fans of ABBA, Mamma Mia! had to be done. Jenny and Martin welcome comic and Swede Rebecka Green on to discuss! It is a fun movie, great cinema, debatable, which happens in this ep! Take a chance on this episode, we laid all our love on it, the winner will take all, which is us!! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
It's a throwback ep this week, rom bros! This is actually our last throwback available. For here on out all episodes will be new! Join us for this episode, almost three years ago, in the summer of 2020 on the old Bachelor podcast, Jenny and Martin cover Pride and Prejudice (2005 version, of course!) on Martin's birthday, might be high and probably sound depressed because this was a dark time for us all! This was before either of them watched Succession; there's no Tom Wambsgans talk. Listen to an old ep and chill out. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
In this episode, Jenny and Martin cover one of the best Disney films of all time. Some may not think it's romantic, but there's basically a lion sex scene in it! It's a fun analysis. Martin reveals his catchphrase also. It's a quality episode. We just can't wait for you to listen! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jenny-and-martin/message
