I find myself reading through scripture, journaling and writing post it notes, but wanted to widen my circle and share with my friends. Here you just get to meet my friends and hear a deeper insight into my journey through the scriptures I love so much!
Worship creatively Worship gets us in step with God Worship inspires
Realize you're in the middle of God's redemption story, it's not the end. Treat it like the middle. You do that by knowing that God is a deliverer, that's his character and who he is. And you stand firm, you stand still in the middle, confident that the Lord will fight for you and will bring you through it.
After the exodus from Egypt, the people pause to dedicate and celebrate.
a LOT is jam packed into Exodus 12, so buckle up to see what we can learn from the story of Passover!
From this short little chapter, we can learn that because of Christ we have relational equity with God and with others.
From Exodus 10 we can learn that patience really is a virtue, to embrace the light and not entertain darkness, and to give everything to God the first time!
The showdown between Pharaoh and God continues with plagues of boils and hail...
Do you really want to spend one more night with your frogs? We talk through Exodus 8 today! What are the frogs that are in you, on you, surrounding you that you've been carrying?
In Exodus 7, we see how we know the intent of God in our trials and how to keep our heart soft.
In Exodus 6, we are reminded of some BEAUTIFUL promises God has for Moses and the Israelites, AND for us. In the end, we are also left with the encouragement to pray passionately for our people. No question today! Just take time to wrestle with God in the intimacy of passionate prayer.
In Exodus 5, I wrestle with what to do with the people in our lives who are like Pharaoh and don't care about God. We also are reminded in times of difficulty… cry out to God first. To think about, wrestle with & talk to your people about… are you going to God first in your difficult situations? If not, what can you change to have accountability in this?
In Exodus 4 we see that God can use our abilities AND our inabilities to bring glory to His name. To think about, wrestle with & talk to your people about… what's in your hand? What abilities do you have to bring glory to God? AND, what things are you feeling like hinder you, what do you want to see God use in mighty ways?
God manifests his presence in the desert. In Exodus 3, all I want us to see is that you are not the main character of life. Jesus is.
In Exodus 2, we see can learn to see people for who they are becoming, trust the faithfulness of God, and learn to be content in the middle. To think about, wrestle with & talk to your people about… what situation are you in the middle of and what can you do in the meantime to glorify God?
I'M BACK. Yes. Stoked to be here. It's been a crazy year and hiatus, but I'm happy to jump back into reading the story of God with you, picking up in Exodus! From Exodus 1, we will see that insecurity drives disunity, we need to know the real enemy, and that God is with the afflicted. Be sure to connect with someone, talk about what you're learning and wrestle with this! Connect with me on IG at @kenzies_bible

Part 2 of Bailey and my conversation with Pastor Ben LaSota to talk about multigenerational discipleship!
Bailey and I have the huge privilege of sitting down with Pastor Ben LaSota to talk about multigenerational discipleship! Our conversation was so awesome and lengthy, I split it in two!
Hanging with Bailey in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Chatting about John 8, letting our mess become our message and how important it is to share our testimonies.
Hanging with a woman I genuinely look up to in faith, ministry and just life, Lila Pearson. She spoke on calling and women in the church at Praise, so we got to dive a little deeper! Enjoy!
Recording from speaking to our young adult group and then Bailey and I hit the studio to discuss deeper! Get with a friend and talk through this discussion too! Do you ever feel like you’re not good enough? Unloved, unwanted, like there must be something wrong with me? Or that if you could just change that one thing about yourself or your life, that then people would love and respect you? what’s one thing you’ve thought if you could change, you might get what your heart really wants? Leah responded with manipulation, jealousy and competition with Rachel... probably blame too. What is your natural response when hope grows dim about something your heart desperately wants? Not what you should respond with, but naturally... is it - Blame - Withdraw - Unhealthy Competition and performing, perfectionism - Angerrage - Manipulation or control- working your magic to get the thing you want It leaves Leah exhausted trying to manipulate Jacob for his love. When is a time when you’ve come to the end of the road, and said ok God, I’m ok right here? 1 Timothy 6:6 but godliness with contentment is great gain How do we maintain contentment? What does it look like on a Thursday to trust God with our lives when it isn’t working out how we thought? What’s a current struggle where life feels disappointing, or like you’re not measuring up. What can you be grateful for in the middle of it
