[46] Cowboys Breakdown/ Packers Preview

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 11, 2019 32:01

Going into the game, everyone said if the Bears put up numbers on a 'top ten' defense, then they will give them some credit. About ten min into the Bears pummeling the Cowboys, stories changed. Bears fans, let's be a little more consistent. The Cowboys aren't world beaters by any means, but they were a 500 team. Now its Rivalry Week. The Bears need to beat the Packers to keep their playoff hopes alive, and it won't be an easy task. Roquan Smith is out for the year with a torn pec, and Hicks is eligible to return from IR. If he is physically ready, that will be huge for the Bears. I know Aaron Rodgers is a hall of fame Calibur QB, but their biggest task will be the Packers running backs.

Thanksgiving was Mitches day. He put the team on his back and got the W. For now, the Bears playoff hopes are still alive, it starts with Dallas. The Cowboys have had issues of their own, and fans can only hope that the Bears get another win to increase that 3% chance of making it to the playoffs.

[44] Giants Breakdown/Lions Preview

Bears are coming off another unconvincing win, but a win is a win. They outperformed the Giants in every phase but still only won by five points, and that seems to be the theme of the season. Now they head to Detroit in hopes of getting back to 500. Playoffs are still out of the question but it's possible the Bears rattle off a few wins and other NFC teams rattle off a few losses, I've seen crazier stuff happen. There is still a little bit of hope, but don't hold your breath.

[43] Rams Breakdown/Giants Preview

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 22, 2019 37:37

The Bears are coming off of another disappointing outing on offense and another loss. You can stick a fork in any playoff hopes. The problems on offense are coming from everywhere. Everyone takes turns making mistakes, and it's beyond frustrating. Then you add in the dropped balls, and receivers giving up on routes/scramble drills it becomes sickening. Mitchell Trubisky had a "hip injury," and there has been a lot of speculation over it. It doesn't help that Nagy can't get his story straight. The bar has been set so low for him that an average game is a step forward. Even though he stemmed together two decent games, it's still not what you expect from the number 2 overall pick in his third year. He still isn't getting help from his recievers, offensive line, and play-caller, it's just a mess. Now they head back home to face the Giants. It's hard to give the Bears the benefit of the doubt, but like many other games this year, they should win. The Giants are only scoring 20 pts a game, but that's more than enough to beat the Bears offensive output. The Giants do have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, but I need to see it before I believe it. Hear it all here on this weeks Lukie and Da Bears.

[42] Lions Breakdown/Rams Preview

The Bears are coming off of an unconvincing victory over the Lions, and fans can't seem to be happy with it. I understand, they should have won by more and Matthew Stafford wasn't in the game, but after a 4 game losing streak, just enjoy it, folks. Now the Bears head to LA to play the most important game of the season. With both teams on the outside looking in at the playoff picture, an NFC tiebreaker is a necessity. When you look at the Rams defensive stats, they don't seem to be playing well. After the Jalen Ramsey acquisition, they have only been letting up 10 pts a game. Although the game is in LA and Goff won't be affected by the cold, I see the game playing out similar to last years. Two struggling QB's facing off against defensive coordinators that are known for disguising coverages and shaking things up can lead to a low scoring affair. Hear it all here on this week's Lukie and Da Bears.

In this preview episode, I welcome Chris Perfett(no relation)from the Pride of Detroit PODcast to discuss this week's matchup. The Lions and Bears have both found ways to lose winnable games. On the Bears side, it's because of the offense. On the Lions side, it's the defense. An offensive and a defensive guru, with disappointing units, walk onto a football field who ends up winning? We discuss key match-ups, and what is going wrong with both teams. Hear it all here on this episode of Lukie and Da Bears.

[40] Eagles Breakdown/ Nagy Vs. Mitch

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 5, 2019 34:13

In this Eagles Vs. Bears breakdown the Nagy Vs. Mitch discussion continues. I am sick and tired of hearing both people at the podium so I pulled clips from the National Media this time. The offense is on pace to be one of the worst Bears offenses in the history of the organization, and that is saying a lot. At some point, the coach has to take more accountability for the lack of success in every aspect of the game. It's hard to stay positive as a fan, but sometimes you gotta keep chugging along. Hear it all here on this week's episode of Lukie and Da Bears.

[39] Chargers Breakdown/ Eagles Preview

The Bears lost another game, and it seems like everything is going in the wrong direction. Eddy Money missed a game-winner, but that isn't the reason the Bears lost the game. The playcalling and execution in the red zone were sub-par to put it lightly. Everyone is off the bandwagon and that's okay because I'll be here week in and week out. Now the Bears are heading to Philadelphia and it almost seems impossible to win the game. An old friend, Jordan Howard, is looking to show the Bears why he shouldn't have been traded. The Eagles have a great defensive line but are lacking on the back end so it's up to Mitchell Trubisky to expose them. It doesn't seem like the odds are in the Bears favor but who knows what can happen? Hear it all on this week's Lukie and Da Bears.

The Saints marched into town and dismantled the Bears. Realistically, its the worst we've seen the offense play. Mitch hasn't played well, and Nagy hasn't coached well. You cannot label yourself an offensive guru, only run gimmicky plays, and expect them to work. Bears fans and the Chicago media won't ever have the patience to develop a franchise quarterback. This interview turned into a venting session for a second, but there is some key information in it. Hear it all here on this week's Lukie and Da Bears!

All reports indicate that Mitchell Trubisky will play this Sunday against the Saints. He was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, and his return couldn't have come at a better time. All of the Chase Daniel believers were silenced after his performance against the Raiders. No offense to Chase, but he is a career back up for a reason. The Saints are coming to Soldier Field, and it will be a hard-fought game. It doesn't matter that Brees is out because the Saints offense hasn't slowed down with Teddy Bridgewater under center. The Bears demoralized the Vikings this past Sunday. Their fans have lost faith, and their players are questioning their offense. It feels good to break a divisional opponent. The Bears went into the week expecting four key starters would be out, and even a late Roquan Smith scratch and a Mitchell Trubisky in-game injury would not slow the team down. Now the Bears head to London to play the Raiders. Kahlil Mack and Eddy Pinero plan on showing the Raiders exactly why they shouldn't have been traded. It would be putting it lightly if you said they had chips on their shoulders. It's supposed to be a Raider's "home game," but the presence of Bears fans in London will be overwhelming. The Bears are heading to D.C. for Monday Night Football. The offense has been lackluster, and the defense has been outstanding. Last week Nagy kept his promise when he said he would emphasize the running game, and this week he says they will be emphasizing chunk plays. Trubisky hasn't played his best football yet, but this is the week he gets back to pro-bowl form. Chicago media has been pushing bull shit narratives after two disappointing weeks. "The defense is losing faith in the offense, and the team is losing faith in Mitchell." I pulled clips proving that's not the case for this weeks "squashing the narrative," segment. Also, I am re-introducing the weekly pick segment. I like to wait until week three because the first two weeks are so unstable, so it's more of a gamble than an educated guess. I am sick and tired of all the false narratives. It seems like most of the Chicago media is trying to get the defense to turn on the offense. That's the story they want to write because it will sell more copies. I evaluated the game tape, and Mitchell Trubisky does get to his second and third reads.
