The Cincinnati Bengals placed the franchise tag on star FS Jessie Bates, however, he hasn't signed the tag and per reports, he has no intentions of participating in OTA's and Training Camp until he gets a long-term deal. The Bengals and Bates have until July 15th to come to an agreement which is the deadline for teams to reach agreements with their franchise-tagged players. Will Cincinnati be able to extend their star safety? Will Jessie Bates be traded before the season or could he potentially sit out the 2022 NFL season? Many people have concerns about the New England Patriots offense going into the upcoming season, with long-time OC Josh McDaniels departing for the HC job in Las Vegas the Patriots have yet to name his replacement. Coming off a great rookie season the Patriots are expecting QB Mac Jones to take a big leap in his second season, and his play will be a large factor in how well the New England offense will perform and how successful the team will be overall. Last season was Steelers OC Matt Canada's first year calling plays for Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Steelers offense struggled to sustain drives and generate big averaging 4.8 yards per play which ranked 28th worse in the NFL last year. Despite the lackluster showing, the Steelers have a good core of skill players that could lead them to success this season such as their two Pro Bowl selections WR Diontae Johnson and RB Najee Harris. They also brought in former first-round pick Mitchell Trubisky and drafted Kenny Pickett in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft and both will compete for the starting QB job. The biggest concern for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense is how improved will the offensive line be this season as it will largely impact how much the offense improves this year. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jtsports/support

Joe and Zac are back to tackle one of the hottest offseason topics for the Pittsburgh Steelers: who starts at quarterback this year? It appears that the Steelers will head into offseason workouts and training camp with four passers: free agent addition Mitchell Trubisky, 2018 third-round draft pick Mason Rudolph, and 2022 NFL Draft picks, [ā¦] Who's our early favorite to start at QB for the 2022 Pittsburgh Steelers? appeared first on Steel City Underground.
After trading away Russell Wilson to Denver, the Seahawks have yet to announce his replacement. Seattle currently has Drew Lock, Geno Smith, Jacob Eason, and Levi Wallace in their QB room. The main two guys in the mix for the starting Quarterback job are Drew Lock and Geno Smith, which one will be the starting QB for the Seattle Seahawks this upcoming NFL season? The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Mitchell Trubisky on day 1 of NFL Free Agency and a few months later drafted rookie QB Kenny Pickett in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Trubisky brings veteran experience to the Steelers Quarterback room while Pickett stays in the local Pittsburgh area after playing his college ball at Pitt which shares the same facilities as the Steelers. JT Sports gives his thoughts on who he believes will be the starting QB for the Steelers this season. The Houston Texans hired Lovie Smith to become their next Head Coach in a surprising move after parting ways with David Culley after a 4-13 season. Lovie Smith has decades' worth of NFL Head Coaching experience and was Houstons DC last year, however, he hasn't had success in his last few head coaching stops following his tenure with the Bears. JT Sports gives his first-year expectations for Lovie Smith and the Houston Texans. Matt Eberflus was hired as the new Head Coach for the Chicago Bears after four seasons as DC for the Colts. Eberflus has been regarded as one of the best defensive minds in the NFL but will have his work cut out for him taking over a Bears team that is one of the worse teams going into the upcoming NFL season. JT Sports gives his first-year expectations for Matt Eberflus and the Chicago Bears. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jtsports/support

On this episode of the Dear Pats Nation podcast with Ray Rauth, Producer Mike and I take a look at some of fantasy football options, NFL betting, and just some straight up NFL analysis. We promise you this isn't a typical fantasy show, it's not a typical football show, this has something for every football fan out there.Ā Ā The Cincinnati Bengals were Super Bowl runner ups, and quarterback Joe Burrow, and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase get the majority of the attention. But the Bengals have a really good running back, and despite all the fire power Burrow has at the receiver position, Joe Mixon should be heavily involved in the Bengals game plan. Today we'll be looking at Joe Mixon's fantasy value. Despite having a losing record and not making the playoffs, the Detroit Lions showed a lot of fight, and a roster that could possibly surprise a lot of people. If you wanted to lay a bet on the Lions making the postseason you'd get +450, and that may be a long shot worth betting.Ā New England Patriots defacto general Manager Bill Belichick made a big splash last year during free agency and signed a lot of big name talent like Jonnu Smith, Hunter Henry, and Matthew Judon. One of the more underrated signings Belichick made was signing former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne. According to PFF, Bourne has the second āhighest passer rating generated when targeted last seasonā. Patriots quarterback Mac Jones had a quarterback rating of 140.9 when targeting Bourne. Could we see the Jones-Bourne connection more this season?Ā The Buffalo Bills are favourites to win the Super Bowl. Bills' quarterback Josh Allen is favourite to win NFL MVP. Is it time to take a long hard look at Stefon Diggs and maybe take a gamble that he'll lead the NFL in receiving yards? He may not be the best wide receiver in the NFL, but he's definitely a top five. Add Allen to the mix and the +1400 for Diggs to have the most receiving yards seems like a great bet.Ā The Pittsburgh Steelers' running back Najee Harris was a workhorse for Pittsburgh in 2021. Some of that had to do with now retired Ben Roethlisberger's poor play. It's still to be seen what impact Mitchell Trubisky will have on the Steelers, and if Harris will continue going the Derrick Henry route and being the emphasis of Pittsburgh's offense. How does this impact his fantasy value?Ā Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
