The Giants opened their season with a disappointing loss in Washington. Both Carl Banks and Bob Papa highlighted a feeling of déjà vu; this game felt eerily similar to struggles from last year. The Giants' offense never found a consistent rhythm, and issues from the preseason, especially struggles on the offensive line, proved costly, allowing significant pressure on new QB Russell Wilson and making it difficult to establish the run.
