March 2, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 100 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers being poised to part ways with T Calvin Anderson by the start of the 2026 NFL year. We discuss the cap savings related to Anderson being released and why such a decision is likely to be made now with him. A Monday morning report indicated that Steelers T Broderick Jones needed neck fusion surgery following his 2025 injury, so Alex and I discuss that news update. We also address the upcoming fifth-year option decision the Steelers have when it comes to Jones, and we go over the amount that 2027 is now scheduled to cost. With Anderson being cut and Jones dealing with a neck issue, Alex and I address the probability and plausibility related to the Steelers addressing the tackle position in either free agency, the draft, or both. We also talk about the likelihood of the Steelers selecting both a guard and tackle in the first four rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft. The NFL released the 2026 salary cap number over the weekend, so Alex and I make sure to cover that big news during this show. With the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine now wrapped up as of Monday morning, Alex and I recap the entire event starting with the safety, cornerback, and tight end groups. We go over how enticing this year's safety class appears to be with the combine now over with. As part of our combine positional group recaps, Alex and I spend some extra time discussing the outlook of former Arkansas QB Taylen Green, who posted a phenomenal athletic testing profile over the weekend. Alex and I discuss the wide receivers, tight ends, running backs, and offensive linemen groups from this year's combine as well. Is there much to do about the combine meeting and interviews related to USC WR Makai Lemon? Did his draft stock really drop based on the weekend reports concerning his team meetings and podium interview? We spend a little time attempting to answer those questions about him during this show. Alex and I go over some of our global takeaways concerning the Steelers as it relates to the combine process. This 112-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we end this episode by answering several emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
