Apologies for the echo in the first 30 seconds of the interview, it doesn't last and believe us when we tell you, we tried everything to solve it.   I first met this guest when he wrote an extraordinary review of my first book when it was released in the UK. Not everyone with a great story and an unusual life is a racer, but he did try! Much to the detriment of motorists and riders in London.. Ian Kerr had a 30 year career with the London Metropolitan Police riding motorcycles. He befriended many including many racers who were his heroes and the Queen of England awarded him the MBE - Member of the British Empire for his services to motorcycling. Ian Kerr is a very unique man with some great stories to tell.

One of the true "Iron Men" of American Motorcycle Racing with some pretty scary stories about his multiple wins in the Baja 1000, and Baja 500 and desert races and rallies in Morocco, Tunisia as well as his native Nevada.

An ICON of American Motocross, 6 time AMA National Champion with 45 victories, 5 Trans-USA victories , winner of the US Grand Prix and so much more to Broc Glover's life which he shares with us in this podcast.

David Bailey is not only a gifted motocross racer with 4 National Championships and the Wrangler Super Series Champion but he really showed his true metal when following a debilitating accident that resulted in paralysis, he rose to the occasion as an athlete and became the Hawaii Iron Man Triathlon World Champion. This man was the first AMA Superbike Champion, and the second, and the third. He also raced sidecars in the Isle of Man, started the preeminent motorcycle riding school in the USA, which at age 82 he continues to teach, and I'm told, he continues to be very, very fast! Reg Pridmore is one very rounded motorcycle competitor and an inductee into the AMA Hall of Fame.

Dick Mann, who passed away April 26th 2021, will always be remembered as one of, if not the, most versatile American racer. Revered by many of his peers, Dick won the Daytona 200 twice in consecutive years and was AMA Grand National Champion twice. He raced the dirt tracks, road races and competed successfully in the International Six Days Trial. We hope this podcast introduces Dick Mann to a world who never knew him, and brings back great memories to those that did.

America's winningest road racer is actually French-Canadian. His 86 AMA road race wins sets himself in a world apart. But that is only the start of the story with this son of a legendary father. Miguel Duhamel, is not only a born motorcycle racer, he is a great story teller with a unique sense of humor.

A Three-time Grand National Flat track Champion with 25 mile wins in a six year career, the Stroh Miles Championship, Pro Athlete of the year twice, AMA Superbike Champion, and inspired so much confidence in Honda that they offered him a Grand Prix ride in 1989, with the expectations that he had what it would take to become a world Champion. Unfortunately, following this third race, there was a horrendous accident at Laguna Seca, on the cool down lap that almost cost him his life. When observed trials was in its formative years, one man garnered just about every prize that was going. Many of them multiple times. In the International world of Trials, this 86 year old is truly a legend. The breadth of his achievements may never be equalled and now in what is possibly the autumn of his life, he has one of the world's greatest motorcycle museums. This is Sammy Miller.

In reality this guest need no introduction for most motor-heads, whether a motorcycle fan or a car aficionado. His car and motorcycle collection is legend and his knowledge is both global and significant - which he shares with us in this MotoStarr Episode.

Episode 14 of the MotoStarr Video podcasts is with a man who has lived with the name of a motorcycle racing legend all of his life. He followed in his father's footsteps by also winning a 500cc World MotoGP Championship, making them the only father and son to ever have won a motorcycle World Title and the only pair to have won any major motorsports World Championships while both are still alive. This is Kenny Roberts Jr.

One of the best kept secrets in American Motorcycling is the World Endurance Championship that my guest for Episode 13 won in 1993. He was the first American to do so and he did it at a time when so few American's knew that there was a World Endurance series. In many respects for my guest, that might have been be the pinnacle of his racing success after learning his craft on the race tracks of America, but his career in motorcycling continued with American Honda and an opportunity to pass along his expertise to a new and different audience. Through his tenure with Honda, his successful racing career, and his time in the media with Cycle World, Doug Toland was able to live his dream, and occasionally wear a tie!

Scott Russell, perhaps equally known as “Mr. Daytona", is the quintessential American Racer. His successes are legend. World Superbike Champion, Suzuka 8 hour winner, AMA Superbike Champion, and AMA Supersport Champion, where he won every one of his races in his winning year and a record 23 victories in that class, and likely what he will forever be remembered for, 5 Daytona 200 victories, hence his moniker. Of course, he may also be remembered for his amazing helmet design. Enjoy!

'Flying' Fred Merkel was the first ever World Superbike Champion - he won it not only once, but twice in total, taking the title in 1988 and 1989. He's also a 3 times national Superbike champion over in the USA as well. He's a very laid back character and it was a total joy to hear some amazing stories from the 80s and 90s, told a few decades on from his home in San Francisco. Enjoy. 

One of the most fascinating characters in Grand Prix racing history. John Kocinski is another World Champion few have heard from in the decades since he retired from the sport. America's FIRST Motorcycle Road Racing World Champion, Steve Baker. A legend of two wheels rarely heard from these days - at least in podcasts and interviews. Steve won the Formula 750 World Championship back in 1977, and was simultaneously runner up in the 500cc World Championship that year to a little known racer called Barry Sheene - perhaps you've heard of him before? In this episode, we chat through Steve's career, what pressure he was under during 1977, his iconic showdown in Talladega with Kel Carruthers, as well as his perspective on the modern era of racing. 'Fast' Freddie Spencer. Where do you even start? Three times a World Champion in Grand Prix racing, two of those titles won in the same YEAR! The word 'legendary' is thrown around flippantly these days, but managing to win a 500cc World Championship and a 250cc World Championship in the same season really is a legendary feat, especially given such an achievement hasn't been replicated since, nor will it ever likely be repeated. What's more, many of Freddie Spencer's achievements beginning with "the youngest rider in history to..." have only JUST in the last decade been beaten, by none other than a certain Marc Marquez. These days, Freddie works as the chairman of the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel at all the races on the Grand Prix calendar, so in amongst his incredibly busy schedule with that, we're very fortunate he found the time to speak for a full hour on the MotoStarr Podcast to tell stories from his book, "Feel", as well as stories not in the book.
