In honor of "Back to the Future" turning 40, industry experts like Ryan Fortnine, Matt Oxley, and Ari Henning take a trip back in time with Zack & Spurg to explore five massive motorcycle "What if" scenarios: What if Boeing built motorcycles? What if Harley-Davidson abandoned "heritage" for "cutting-edge"? How would a different World War II outcome have changed German and Japanese engineering? What does a truly safe motorcycle look like? If gas motorcycles were banned tomorrow, would the community survive on electric and hydrogen alone? Plus, Zack analyzes his actual Alpinestars airbag crash data, comparing his 65-mph highside to Marc Marquez's infamous tumbles. Årets første løp leverte dramatikk umiddelbart. Acosta og KTM leder VM etter Thailand Grand Prix. Ducati sliter.

It's back, bitches, and it's already glorious. The 2026 Moto GP season couldn't have got off to a better start with storylines aplenty both on and off the track. With Baby Jeebus taking it to Marc Marquez, Bez doing what we know Bez can do and not a single Ducati on the podium it was a hell of a teaser for the year to come. The boys wrap up all that plus introduce some new segments (Jack's Toprak report is looking like it will be a regular highlight) and of course, the old favourites like Borrie's poem and Simone Flatterson's Grid Girl Critique. There's only one way you could make it any better and that's to join our Patreon Pit crew which does two things: gives us money (most important) and makes YOU one of the cool kids eligible to win great prizes from Shoei, Dainese and more. Dre Harrison, Lewis Duncan and Peter McLaren review all the action to come out of the 2026 Season Opener, the Thai Grand Prix. Marco Bezzecchi dominated in what may be Aprilia's greatest day in MotoGP, with four of their bikes in the Top 5. Is that a sign of things to come? Pedro Acosta and Marc Marquez also went toe-to-toe in the Sprint race, with a controversial penalty demoting Marquez down to 2nd for Acosta to become MotoGP's youngest sprint winner. Was it the right decision? All that and more on the latest Crash MotoGP Podcast! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Pre-season er over. Pedro Acosta puster dem i nakken.

Dre Harrison sits down with Lewis Duncan and Pete McLaren to discuss all things Buriram Test with the 2026 season just days around the corner. Marc Marquez crashes three times but still looks fast, Aprilia looks settled as main contender, and could be about to snatch Pecco Bagnaia from Ducati. There's also a deep dive on Yamaha's continued struggles, where KTM and Honda fit in the field, and the shocking departure of Philip Island from the MotoGP calendar. Is the sport right to be moving to Adelaide? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Motorcycling is an exhilarating experience, offering a sense of freedom and adventure that few other activities can match. However, it also comes with inherent risks, as motorcycle riders are significantly more vulnerable to accidents and injuries than those in enclosed vehicles. In recent years, advancements in technology have led to innovative safety solutions aimed at reducing the risks associated with motorcycle riding. One such groundbreaking development is the autonomous airbag system from Alpinestars, specifically designed to enhance rider safety by providing protection before an impact occurs.Autonomous Airbag for Motorcycle SafetyAt the forefront of this technology is the Tech Air 5 Plasma, developed by Alpinestars, a company renowned for its commitment to motorcycle safety. This wearable airbag system is designed to be worn under any outer garment, offering a level of protection that traditional safety gear often lacks. What sets the Tech Air apart is its fully autonomous functionality; it utilizes a sophisticated network of tri-axial sensors integrated into a back protector to monitor the rider's movements in real-time. This continuous analysis allows the system to differentiate between normal riding conditions and the critical moments leading up to a crash. The algorithm powering the Tech Air system has been in development for over two decades, accumulating invaluable data from millions of hours of riding and thousands of recorded crashes. This extensive research has enabled the system to accurately predict when a rider is about to experience an impact, allowing the airbag to deploy just before the rider hits the ground. This preemptive deployment is a game-changer, as it provides an additional layer of protection that can significantly reduce the severity of injuries sustained during accidents. The versatility of the Tech Air system is evident in its various modes tailored to different riding conditions, including street, off-road, and race modes. This adaptability ensures that riders can benefit from the airbag's protection regardless of their riding style or environment. For instance, a casual commuter can utilize the street mode for everyday riding, while a professional racer can take advantage of the race mode, which is optimized for high-speed and high-lean scenarios. This level of customization enhances the airbag's effectiveness, making it a valuable tool for riders of all skill levels.A Revolutionary Step in Rider ProtectionOne of the most compelling aspects of the Alpinestars Tech Air system is its real-world application and proven efficacy. High-profile motorcycle racers, such as MotoGP champion Marc Marquez, have incorporated the airbag into their gear, demonstrating its reliability in extreme conditions. The visible deployment of the airbag during races showcases its ability to protect riders in critical moments, underscoring the technology's potential to save lives and reduce injuries.Despite its advanced technology, the Tech Air system is designed to be user-friendly. Riders are encouraged to wear the airbag under garments that allow for sufficient room for expansion upon deployment, ensuring that the airbag can function effectively. This consideration for rider comfort and practicality is essential, as it encourages more riders to adopt this innovative safety gear. The availability of the Tech Air system to the general public marks a significant milestone in motorcycle safety. Casual riders, who may not participate in racing or off-road competitions, can now access this cutting-edge technology, further democratizing safety in the motorcycling community. As awareness of the benefits of autonomous airbags grows, it is likely that more riders will consider incorporating these systems into their safety gear, ultimately contributing to a reduction in motorcycle-related injuries and fatalities.ConclusionIn conclusion, the autonomous airbag system from Alpinestars represents a transformative advancement in motorcycle safety. By combining sophisticated sensor technology with a deep understanding of riding dynamics, the Tech Air 5 Plasma offers riders a proactive means of protection against the dangers of motorcycling. As more riders embrace this innovative safety solution, the future of motorcycle riding looks increasingly secure, allowing enthusiasts to enjoy their passion with greater peace of mind.Interview by Marlo Anderson of The Tech Ranch.Sponsored by: Get $5 to protect your credit card information online with Privacy.

Valencia opened with Ducati, but ended overwhelmingly with Aprilia - is 2026 set for a showdown between the Italian manufacturers? I break down the ValenciaGP action, talk about what it means for the balance of power in MotoGP, and recap the Championship! The Rundown:- Qualifying - Bezz sets the pace, Pecco continues his slide, but the gap at the top shows how close the best manufacturers really are- The Sprint - The media said Bezz would win, Gresini's team manager said Acosta would win, but neither got it quite right- The MotoGP Race - Aprilia ends the year with a bang, their top rider leading the way, with an impressive Valencia surprise just behind- Third place races were where the action was at all weekend- Acosta is disappointed, but shouldn't be- Honda loses one level of concessions - should they have?- MotoGP Championship Picture - how the final battles worked out- My take on Valencia- What does the season finale mean for 2026? Are we on the verge of an Aprilia-Ducati championship? Or will Marc Marquez tip the scales back toward Ducati? What did you think of Valencia? So the 2025 racing is done and dusted and one of the more unusual seasons in GP history is now consigned to the history books. It was undoubtedly the year of Marc Marquez (sorry Borrie) but there are more questions than answers heading into 2026 and the lads break down not only what has been but what might be to come next year. That's the serious stuff (or as close as it gets around these parts) but there's also the usual favourites like Borrie's Poem, The Grid Girl Critique, What Should Simon Do and Observations. It's all the madness you'd expect from the Greatest Motorcycling Podcast in the Universe and we're giving it away for free so do us and yourself a favour and press play. We can't promise you won't regret it but we can assure you that you won't forget it. IMPORTANT: Below you will find a list of our sponsors. We expect you to support them by buying stuff from them. Jim and Rich review MotoGP Round 17 from Mandalika in Indonesia. After a season of relatively trouble-free speed and consistency, Marc Marquez was hit by trouble in the form of Marco Bezzecchi. It was something of a crash and injury strewn weekend with several riders missing. Through it all came Fermin Aldeguer, demonstrating why Ducati put so much faith into signing the now 20 year old. Elsewhere, Moto3 was boiling up to a big finish before the red flags came out for David Muñoz following a nasty collision with Adrián Fernández; The M3 race saw a deserving José Antonio Rueda clinch the title. Moto2 was a rather steadier affair, with the main drama coming post-race after a technical infringement disqualification for Manuel González, leaving his title position in the balance with Diogo Moreira. As ever, Jim and Rich cover the news and listener feedback. Thanks to Gareth Lock for his feedback and thanks also to Michael Leete for keeping former show host Jim Race in our collective thoughts. When it comes to racing, you either cash out or crash out. And today? Today we're all about the latter, both literally and figuratively. There's a crash for Marc Marquez, potentially locking him out of the next races. And while a broken collar bone hurts like hell, the knowledge that he's already got the championship in the pocket might give some comfort. But there's many kinds of crashing. Take Ducati for example: dominating the earlier half, but now hitting a performance wall. Meanwhile Aprilia and Honda are right behind. And then there's the Bagnaia situation - what's going on there? And finally, there's our connection! Yes, we suffered some technical difficulties at the end, losing Mat's words to the aether. Little bit of an odd end, but aren't all crashes? Mea culpa, and we'll have a proper ending for you next time! Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. With big thanks as always to Brad Baloo from The Next Men and Gentleman's Dub Club for writing our theme song. Check out The Nextmen for more great music!

Neil and David are joined by MotoGP commentator and presenter Louis Suddaby, who dials in from the media centre at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, to talk through the morning after the weekend before. What's Pecco Bagnaia's strategy for this weekend now that he's proven his mettle once more? Where will newly crowned champion Marc Marquez find his motivation now the title is wrapped up? Is Miguel Oliveira's MotoGP future really over even if he's off to WorldSBK in 2026? All these questions are discussed plus insights on the Fabios (Quartararo and Di Giannantonio) and our ones to watch this weekend.

And just like that the first World Championship is wrapped up! Marc Marquez clinched his 9th World Championship at the Japanese GP over the weekend. Marc placed second in both the Sprint and the GP to none pother than a resurgent Pecco! The Moto3 race was neutered a little bit by a weird but brief sigh rain that spooked championship leader Rueda early on in the race. This let Munoz to take a commanding lead that he held until the end of the race. Rueda now has a chance to wrap up the tile at the next round. In Moto2 saw an on form Jake Dixion and Gonzalez qualify well. In the Race they both dropped back and rookie Holgado romped to other victory. Gonzalez was fast but too aggressive during a pass attempt on Vietti. Veitti went down and Gonzalez went to the long lap penalty loop. The guys also cover the new and go deep into things said by Michael Laverty.
