Ben Spies is celebrated as one of America's greatest motorcycle roadracing talents. The Texan's illustrious career includes multiple AMA Pro championships, a World Superbike Championship in his rookie year, the MotoGP Rookie of the Year award, six MotoGP podiums, and numerous other accolades. He will be remembered as one of the last Americans to reach MotoGP the untraditional way, embodying the “Good Ole' Days” of American motorcycle road racing. Despite his incredible achievements, Ben was often seen as introverted or standoffish, perhaps misunderstood by many. Now, a decade into retirement, the new and improved Ben 2.0 has resurfaced in the MotoAmerica paddock full-time as a team principal (or "mascot," as he humorously claims). Nowadays, he can often be found with a smile on his face, enjoying life with his wife and two daughters. In this episode, we dive into Ben's story, exploring the journey that shaped him into a fierce competitor and what he's learned about life since hanging up his leathers. We hope you enjoy and gain insights into one of the greats of our sport. Off Track with Carruthers and Bice

Rahal Ducati Moto's PJ Jacobsen rolls into this weekend's penultimate round of the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship trailing his season-long rival Mathew Scholtz by 25 points. To have any real chance of taking the title, Jacobsen probably needs to win all four of the remaining races, including this week's two races at Circuit of The America. We caught up with Jacobsen prior to the start of the weekend to chat about the title chase, his first season with the Rahal team, his two dynamic passes in Supersport racing at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and more on this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.Support the show

Strack Racing's Mathew Scholtz heads to Circuit of The Americas in Austin Texas, next week with a 25-point lead in the 2024 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship. Left without a ride when the Westby Racing Superbike team folded at the end of last season, Scholtz took a step back to race in the Supersport class. And  it's worked to perfection. The South African, who now calls Georgia home, has won seven races and has stood on the podium in 13 of 14 races. He's also had some battles royale with his rival in the title chase, PJ Jacobsen. We caught up with Scholtz prior to the final two rounds of the title chase to talk about his season, the rivalry with Jacobsen, his past, and his future on this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.Support the show

Great conversation with James Compton in this episode. We discuss his college football career with the University of Washington as a full back and how he ended up with a 12 year race career in AMA Pro Superbike and Formula Extreme Classes. Later moving to work in the pits with such greats as Ben Spies, Cameron Beaubier, Steve Rapp, Jake Holden to name just a few. Eventually working as a crew chief for Micheal Jordan's AMA Superbike team while creating his first full custom bike, "The Crusher". All of this leading up to James Compton Customs. I had a great time visiting with James and learning about his path to success but most importantly hearing about his love for his wife and kids.  There are a lot of men in this world who can claim success but few that get the chance to share it with others and even fewer with their children. The world needs a few more good fathers. Enjoy Part 1
